Chapter 1 Dinner

Third person POV.

Katherine sat in the back of her dad's car looking out the window watching everything around her pass by as her dad talked constantly about what will be happening for two years.

If she was being honest all she wanted to do was listen to music and daydream about anything that comes to mind, but sadly she couldn't. She has to listen to her dad or she could be listening to these conversations for more then… well now. Though he has been talking for at least a couple hours about what is happening and even has for weeks now.

"This is going to be good for you," Dean said.

That sentence just got her mentally chuckling to herself. To her, that just reminds her of any show about a family driving somewhere new, far away from where they grew up in and where all their friends and family are and one of the parents try to help the situation by saying something to ease the tension and… it really doesn't help: either they know they aren't helping or they do.

Though Katherine didn't have friends or really a home from the start so she wasn't really 'missing' out on anything.

Dean looks through the rearview mirror to his daughter, "You remember the deal we made?" he asks her once again.

Though to him, he can't remember if he did ask her. His anxiety and worry for his kid, his only child is very high and it's causing him memory loss and fogginess.

Katherine sighs and rolls her eyes.

Dean couldn't contain a small smile to form on his face when he had seen the eye roll of annoyances of him. “Yes,” she stretches her arms out and then crosses them over her chest when she is done stretching.

Dean looks back to the road. His eyes casting around him to see if he can go and luckily for him, he can. 

With having a daughter of his own that he had to take care of alone-ish… with no mother involved, Dean becomes very, very protective of her.

Dean made sure Katherine had everything and knew everything she would need to keep herself safe from anything and almost everything that could come her way; like the hunting life, humans, crazy humans, and so on with things that could cause her harm. Dean would constantly ask her questions about what she would need to do in moments like 'hunting' and or if someone randomly just jumps-you moments.

Though, the biggest thing Dean has done to keep his daughter safe is trained her in her fighting skills and how to use any weapon that they had in the bunker, "Please say it, one last time... for now" he asks.

Katherine didn't like this; she really didn't like it at all. She didn't want to be left out of the hunting life… well at least for a while. Two years exact.

She wanted to stay with her dad and uncle Sammy, but she had to agree with her dad and she is going through with the deal.

"When I turn nine-teen I can come back and help you and uncle Sam with hunts," she said, looking up to the front; to her dad as he drove through the crowded roads towards the place they have to drop Sam off to and then a place to eat.

Dean smiles bigger, "Yes, good you were listening” he claps his hands on the steering wheel happily.

Katherine rolls her eyes and Sam laughs. “So I'll drop Sam off then we will go get some food,” he adds. “Then I’ll be staying the night, but then I have to get back to help Sam."

Katherine nods her head tiredly, “I'll be back in a couple of weeks to check up on you” he adds.

Dean didn’t fully like the idea of leaving his daughter, but he had to. He knew deep down she needed to at least have a normal teenage life; at least for a bit.

She finally has her powers under control and though he is worried about leaving her alone with them: even with them being in control, he has to. He wouldn't have left her alone if she wasn't in control of her powers, that to him would be cruel. She didn't ask for it and to leave her at her weakest and vulnerable state would be inhuman.

Though that wouldn't be the only reason why she is staying here as he leaves to continue this life, for the past few hunts-so past year, their hunts have left her more hurt and scared and Dean couldn't handle it anymore.

He couldn't bear his daughter to be hurt or even dead because of this life. He couldn't let anything happen to his little girl again and for as long as he can he will keep her safe and that-that's two years.

She would be nineteen and at that point he sadly can't tell her what to do, he can't ground her anymore.

"I know."

Time skip.
Still third person pov.
A while after dropping Sam off.

Dean pulls up to her new home, a home that's going to be hers for a while. We'll not hers: more as her Aunt's house and she is just 'stuck' there for two years with her.

Her aunt was already standing outside with a big smile on her face as she waited patiently for them to pull up. Dean had told her that they were only a few minutes away so she could just know, but she took it in her hands to wait for them. She stood on the stairs at first, but when she saw Dean's car she was quick to rush down the stairs to the still movie car.

It's difficult to say, but if Katherine has to talk to people for hunts, she can do it, but if she has to talk to anyone that doesn't involve the hunting life, she cant. Her heart would start to speed up; her hands would start to shake and sweat; her mind would go blank and she would start to stutter and have a hard time breathing. She would do her best to speak, but her speech isn't the best, BUT if someone is fucking with her and that person is really pissing her off, she will say comments or talk back to them.

“Katherine!”

Katherine's heart speeds up fast in her chest as she sees and hears her aunt rushing over to her, Jade wraps her arms around Katherines body tightly, “Gosh I missed you two so much” she gushes out to them.

Jade kisses Katherines temple a couple of times before she moves to Dean and kisses his face.

Katherine gives her aunt a shy smile, "Nice to see you too Aunt Jade" she said rubbing her arms awkwardly.

Jade smiles big at her, "Come on in," Jade starts her way to her front door.

The two Winchester grab their bags and follow Jade into her house, "So I got your room sort of started. I didn't know what you would want. So I just waited for you to come. There is a guest room that you will be using for the meantime." "Dean, you're going to be sleeping on the couch tonight" she said.

Dean mumbles a Fuck causing Katherine to laughing at her dad.

Katherine follows behind her Aunt up to the room she will be sleeping in for a couple of days or weeks and or even months.

If Katherine was being honest and she wouldn't be to anyone when it comes to this, she is a bit scared of being left with her aunt.

Her aunt Jade isn't a bad person at all. She loves her aunt very much. Her aunt is almost the only female grown up that she has to look up to, she does have Jody too and luckily for both grown up ladies, they get along with Katherine. Though Katherine has never really been left alone without her dad with her for this long, especially alone with her aunt this long. Longer than two weeks or two months, this time it's for two years.

She's feeling slightly sad about not having her midnight talks with her dad.

Yes, she could have them over the phone, but it would just be different and she was too scared to wake her dad up when he is resting; how could she tell if her dad was awake or asleep?

Small time skip

Katherine POV.

I sat in the back of my dad's car as he and aunt Jade sat in front speaking loudly over the music playing as he drove us to the place we are eating.

"Damnit Dean, turn the music down" Aunt Jade yells out. I laugh. "I'm trying to talk here," she adds. She was the one to turn the music off.

"Ok, what were you saying?" Dad asks.

"So I enrolled Katherine into a school a couple of days ago," she said.

Wait! What? School. I have to go to school? No one said I had to go to school, that wasn't in the rules! I'm not going to school, hell no, FUCK NO.

"That's good. What school?" Dad asks.

Wait! Why does he sound like he already knew this?

I push my body up, "Wait, what?" I ask.

"Yeah… so... kid, but… hmmm. I. Yeah i forgot to tell you that you would be going to school when you are here" Dad said. "Wait, what?" I asked once again.

Of course I heard him. I'm still not going to school.

"So what school?” Dean asks aunt Jade, “It's called Gotham Academy, it was really hard to get her in but I have friends that helped me out" she said.

"Wait, I'm going to school?" I ask again. "Yes, where you're going you have to wear a uniform" aunt Jade said.

"A uniform?" I look between them two.

"Yeah, but I think you will like it," she said.

"I doubt it," I mumbled out.

“Sorry kid”

Time skip.

I groan and stretch my arms behind my back as we enter the old looking dinner. We looked for a table that was a good choice for us, it was in the back-ish of the dinner. I made sure my seat was in the booth by the wall and widow-ish.

I play with my fingers as the two older grown ups talk with each other, most about me, a topic that I hate with a passion. What are they talking about me this time?

“-so you don't know this yet but Katherine actually has four soulmates”

My eyes widen and I look over to my dad who looks over to me with a big smile on his face, “Really now, that's fantastic Katherine” aunt Jade said cheerfully.

Eh gross happiness towards me. 

Soulmates are basically your other half. When you meet your soulmate you have to accept or reject them. When your soulmate is close to you your soulmark will start to itch, then when they are in the same room or very close to you, your soulmark will start to burn. The pain goes away after you either accept or reject the bond. You usually have one or two soulmates and maybe three soulmates, but I got four.

I wouldn’t reject my soulmates, I don't think I'll be able to…

Dad looks to me and then to aunt Jade, “Also… maybe you two could have… some… sort of… girl time… talking... “ dad said. I raise my eyebrow at him, really dude?

“Sure that would be fun, right Katherine?” she asks.

My eyes widened and I looked towards her, “Uh… right” I said.

“Yeah we could go shopping and get school clothes and supplies, even things you want to put into your room” she said. “What do you think?” she asks.

I hate shopping, “That sounds cool. Thanks,” I said.

Dean laughs, "She's more of a tomboyish goth girl. But you already know that" he said.

I look down towards my outfit.

Third person POV.

Katherine sat in the booth as her dad and her aunt Jade talked about her, her clothes styles, her school supplies, her soulmates and so many more topics that are around her. She was bored and tired.

Jade was excited to have some girl time with her niece, she couldn't have kids and she never thought about adopting either. When she found out what had happened to her niece and what Dean was asking for, she was quick to jump up on the offer of taking care of her niece until she turns nine-teen.

Jade was shocked to hear that her niece has four soulmates. Not because it's sort of rare to have that many, but how she didn't know until now.

Katherine POV.

Why does my collarbones itch so much? I locked my eyes onto the table as my hands scratched my collarbones. I could faintly hear my dads and aunt Jade conversation as I zone out to go into my own world.

'Ding'

“Hmmm..” My eyes slowly flicker my eyes up to the old dinner door and bell.

Before I knew it the itching feeling turned into a burning feeling.
