Werewolves and hunters

(Episode 1-12)

Charlotte was in her room sleeping peacefully when her phone rang. Charlotte woke up groaning and looked at the caller ID annoyed.

She answered the phone before it went to voicemail knowing he would call again. "What Stiles" Charlotte said. "You'll never believe what I just heard from my dad" Stiles said. "Were you eavesdropping again" Charlotte asked sitting up.

"What no I okay yes anyways I just found out there's a" Stiles said. "Let me guess a dead body" Charlotte said.

"Okay yes you have to come with me to get Scott so we can go look for it" Stiles said.

"You're just gonna drag me out there if I say no aren't you" Charlotte asked. "Most likely yes" Stiles said. "I'll be there soon" Charlotte said and hung up.

Stiles and Charlotte went over to Scott's as soon as Charlotte went over to Stiles's place. Soon enough Scott came out with a baseball bat not noticing Charlotte yet as she stood off to the side.

Stiles eventually came upside down in front of him tangled in a tree making them both scream as Charlotte finally approached them.

"Charlotte" Scott said noticing her. "You dragged Charlotte out here" Scott said. "Yeah, where we go Char goes" Stiles said. "What are you doing" Scott asked them. "Ask him" Charlotte said.

"You weren't answering your phone" Stiles said. "Why do you have a bat" Stiles asked Scott. "I thought you were a predator" Scott told Stiles.

"A pre-I -what-" Stiles asked Scott spitting out leaves from hanging upside down. "Do I look like a predator to you" Charlotte asked.

"Look I know it's late but you gotta hear this I saw my dad leave 20 minutes ago dispatch called they're bringing in every officer from the beacon department and even state police" Stiles told Scott.

"For what" Scott asked Stiles. "Two joggers found a body in the woods" Stiles told Scott finally managing to get down from the tree he was in.

"A dead body" Scott asked them. "No, a body of water" Stiles said with sarcasm. "Yes, a dead body" Stiles added on. "You mean like murdered" Scott asked them. "Nobody knows yet" Stiles told the two friends.

"Just that it was a girl probably in her 20s" Stiles told Charlotte and Scott. "Wait hold on if they found the body what are they looking for" Scott asked Stiles.

"That's the best part they only found half we're going" Stiles told them. "Lovely" Charlotte said annoyed.

"We're seriously doing this" Scott asked as soon as the three friends made it to the woods. "You are always the one saying that nothing ever happens in this town" Stiles told Scott.

"I was having a good sleep I could still be dreaming about Kol Mikaelson rather than finding a dead body" Charlotte exclaimed.

"I was trying to get a good night's sleep before practice tomorrow" Scott said as he along with Charlotte followed Stiles. "Right cause sitting on the bench is such a grueling effort" Stiles said.

"No because I'm playing this year in fact, I'm making first line" Scott said confidently. "Hey that's the spirit everyone should have a dream even a pathetically unrealistic one" Stiles said and Charlotte glared at him.

"Would you be nice" Charlotte asked. "Just out of curiosity which half of the body are we looking for" Scott asked Stiles.

"Huh I didn't even think about that" Stiles said. "And what if whoever killed this girl is still out there" Scott asked.

"Also, something I didn't think about" Stiles said. "So, you dragged us out here without even knowing which half we're looking for why am I not surprised" Charlotte said.

"Comforting to know you've planned this out with your usual attention to detail" Scott said to Stiles. "I know" Stiles said before the three continued to look for the body.

"Maybe the severe asthmatic should be the one holding the flashlight" Scott said slowing down breathing in his inhaler.

The three crouched down once they found the crime scene so they wouldn't be found.

"Is that the second half of the body" Scott asked Stiles. "No, they would have called off the search come on" Stiles said before he raced forward unable to help himself.

"Stiles" Charlotte said before going after him. "Stiles, Charlotte, wait up" Charlotte heard Scott say from behind her.

Charlotte finally caught up to Stiles as he realized Scott wasn't with them turning behind when a police dog barked causing him to fall on his behind. "Stay right there" the state trooper tells the two.

Charlotte saw Scott quickly hide behind the tree realizing the state trooper wasn't talking to him. "Hold on, hold one" these little delinquents belong to me" Noah said going up to Charlotte and Stiles.

"Do you listen in all of my phone calls" Noah asked his son. "No not the boring ones" Stiles said.

"And where's your other partner in crime" Noah asked them. "Who Scott, Scott's home said he wanted to get a good night's sleep for the first day back to school" Stiles lied.

Noah didn't seem to believe them as he flashed his flashlight behind them at the tree while Scott quickly hid more so he wouldn't be caught. "Scott you out there" Noah yelled.

After getting no response he turned back towards Charlotte and Stiles. "All right young man I'm taking you and Charlotte back to your car and we're going to discuss a little something called invasion of privacy and then you're going to take Charlotte home before Lydia freaks out thinking her twin is missing" Noah said escorting Stiles away while Charlotte followed.

It was officially the first day back to school and Scott parked his bike when Jackson drove up and parked his car next to the bike rack hitting Scott with his door on purpose before closing it.

"Dude watch the paint job" Jackson told Scott. "Yō Jackson let's go bro" Danny yelled to Jackson.

Jackson left giving Scott one last glance before Scott started walking off to find Stiles. "Okay let's see this thing" Stiles said referring to the bite Scott had gotten the previous night.

Scott lifted up his shirt revealing the bite mark. "Ooh" Stiles said going to touch it when Scott flinched.

"It was too dark to see much but I'm pretty sure it was a wolf" Scott said. "A wolf bit you" Stiles asked. "Uh-huh" Scott answered.

"No not a chance" Stiles said. "I heard a wolf howling" Scott said. "No, you didn't" Stiles said. "What do you mean no I didn't how do you know what I heard" Scott asked him.

"Because California doesn't have wolves okay not in like 60 years" Stiles said.

"Really" Scott asked him. "Yes, really there are no wolves in California" Stiles said. "Alright well if you don't believe me about the wolf then your definitely not gonna believe me when I tell you I found the body" Scott said.

"You- are you kidding me" Stiles asked with excitement. "No man I wish I'm gonna have nightmares for a month" Scott said.

"This is awesome I mean this is seriously the best thing that happened to this town since the birth of Lydia and Charlotte Martin" Stiles said seeing Lydia and Charlotte walk away.

Charlotte smiled at Stiles and Scott once she walked past them. "Hey Lydia, you look like your gonna ignore me" Stiles said before Charlotte and Lydia entered the building.

"Should we tell Charlotte about this" Scott asked. "I'll fill her in when I see her" Stiles said.

Charlotte was currently walking with Lydia when they saw Allison and Lydia admired Allison's jacket, so they quickly walked up to her.

"That jacket is absolutely killer where'd you get it" Lydia asked her. "My mom was a buyer for a boutique back in San Francisco" Allison told the twin sisters.

"And you're our new best friend" Lydia said before Jackson approached them. "No thanks I have enough friends" Charlotte said. "Char" Lydia said. "Lyds" Charlotte said, and Lydia shook her head.

"Hey Jackson" Lydia said before they kissed. "So, this weekend there's this party" Lydia said. "A party" Allison asked. "Yeah, Friday night you should come" Jackson told Allison.

"Uh I can't it's family night this Friday thanks for asking" Allison said. "You, sure we are all going after the scrimmage" Jackson said.

"You mean like football" Allison asked. "Football's a joke in Beacon Hills" Jackson said.

"What he means to say is the sport here is Lacrosse" Charlotte said. "We've won the state championship for the past three years" Jackson said.

"Because of a certain team captain" Lydia said praising her boyfriend. "Well, we have practice in a few minutes that is if you don't have anywhere else" Jackson said.

"Well, I was going to" Allison started to say but Lydia interrupted her.

"Perfect your coming" Lydia said. "Come on Char" Lydia said as she left with Allison and Charlotte followed her.

Allison, Lydia, and Charlotte sat together in the bleachers seeing Scott in the goal. "Who is that" Allison asked the twin sisters. "Him I'm not sure who he is why" Lydia asked and Charlotte rolled her eyes.

"His name is Scott McCall" Charlotte told Allison. Scott started out poorly with holding his hands to his ears like they were bussing before getting hit with the head.

"Hey way to catch with your face McCall" a lacrosse player said to him. Scott got back up and to Charlotte's surprise he caught every single one that was thrown at him.

"He seems like he's pretty good" Allison said. "Yeah, very good" Lydia said. "How is that possible" Charlotte asked herself.

After practice Scott, Stiles, and Charlotte were heading back to the woods so Scott could look for his inhaler which he lost.

"I don't know what it was it was like I had all the time in the world to catch the ball and that's not the only weird thing I can hear stuff I shouldn't be able to hear smell things" Scott said.

"Smell things like what" Stiles asked. "Like the mint mojito gum in your pocket" Scott said. "I don't even have any mint mojito" Stiles said before pulling the gum out of his pocket putting it back.

"So, this all started with a bite" Stiles said. "What if it's like an infection like my body's flooding with adrenaline before I go into shock or something" Scott asked.

"You know what I actually think I've heard of this it's a specific kind of infection" Stiles said, and Charlotte saw where he was going as she just looked at him trying not to laugh.

"Are you serious" Scott asked. "Yeah, I think it's called lycanthropy" Stiles said.

"What's that is that bad" Scott asked not knowing what he was talking about. "Oh yeah it's the worst but only once a month" Stiles said. "Once a month" Scott asked.

"Mm-hmm on the night of the full moon" Stiles said and then howled and Scott hit his chest. "Hey, you're the one who heard a wolf howling" Stiles said.

"You can't tell me you didn't see that coming" Charlotte said, and Scott ignored her. "Hey there, could be something seriously wrong with me" Scott exclaimed.

"I know you're a werewolf" Stiles joked growling. "Okay obviously I'm kidding but if you see me in shop class trying to melt all the silver, I can find its cause Friday's a full moon" Stiles said.

"Alright I think he gets it that's enough" Charlotte said laughing a little.

"No, I could have sworn this was it I saw the body the deer came running I dropped my inhaler" Scott said not seeing his inhaler.

"Are you sure it was here" Charlotte asked. "Pretty sure this is private property" Charlotte said but both Scott and Stiles ignored her. "Maybe the killer moved the body" Stiles said.

"If he did, I hope he left my inhaler those things are like 80 bucks" Scott said when the most attractive man Charlotte has seen in her entire life came over.

"What are you doing here" he asked, and Charlotte managed to snap out of her trance.

"Huh this is private property" he said before he noticed Charlotte and looked at her like he was attracted to her.

"Uh sorry man we didn't know" Stiles said. "Yeah, we were just looking for something but uh forget it" Scott said before the guy threw him his inhaler walking away but not before stealing one last look of Charlotte.

"Alright come on guys I got to get to work" Scott said. "Dude that was Derek Hale you remember right he's only like a few years older than us" Stiles said.

"Remember what" Scott asked. "His family they all burned to death in a fire like ten years ago" Stiles said.

"You guys shouldn't be talking about him behind his back not very polite" Charlotte said but they ignored her. "I wonder what he's doing back" Scott asked and Charlotte sighed.

"Next time you guys ignore what I say I'm gonna punch you super strength or not" Charlotte said and left.

Stiles and Charlotte rushed to the game after Stiles filled her in with what happened and informed her it was a wolf that bit Scott after all.

"Scott, Scott, wait up" Stiles said trying to get Scott's attention. "Stiles I'm playing the first elimination man can it wait" Scott asked him. "If it could we wouldn't be here" Charlotte told him.

"Just hold on okay I overheard my dad on the phone the fiber analysis came back from the lab in LA they found animal hairs on the body from the woods" Stiles told Scott.

"Guys I gotta go" Scott said heading towards the field. "Scott" Charlotte tried to say but he already left.

"You're not gonna believe what the animal was it was a wolf" Stiles said. "I'm going to go sit with my twin and help her cheer for Jackson" Charlotte told Stiles and went to sit next to Lydia.

Soon enough the game began, and Scott was good too good.

After the game Charlotte went to the party that everyone was going to after her twin sister begged her to go with.

She was standing off to the side by herself while Lydia made out with Jackson. "Seriously why did I have to come if she was just going to make out with her boyfriend" Charlotte asked herself.

She saw Scott arrived with Allison and they made their way inside. "Some family thing" Charlotte said and took a drink of her drink.

Derek walked up to Charlotte and Charlotte saw him. "You must be Derek or so I hear" Charlotte said.

"And you must be one of the friends I saw in the woods the hotter one anyways" Derek said and Charlotte blushed. "Well, you certainly know how to make a girl blush" Charlotte said.

"I heard you stand up for me back there, thanks for that" Derek said. "It was no problem really" Charlotte said.

"Well, I appreciate it a lot" Derek said and Charlotte smiled at him. "So, what are you doing here" Derek asked. "You look like you rather be anywhere else" Derek said.

"I originally came for my twin sister but she's off making out with her boyfriend somewhere I'm sure she wouldn't mind if I left early anyways at least I stayed longer this time" Charlotte said.

"Need a ride" Derek asked. "You don't mind" Charlotte asked. "No of course not" Derek said. "Thanks" Charlotte said, and Derek smiled.

Suddenly Charlotte saw that Scott ended up leaving but he left Allison behind. "Great now I have to make sure she gets home" Charlotte said. "You don't like her" Derek asked.

"Not the slightest just something about her doesn't seem right" Charlotte said. Charlotte and Derek walked up to Allison as soon as Scott left.

"Allison I'm a friend of Scott's my name's Derek" Derek said, and Charlotte looked at him knowing that was not entirely true but went along with it.
