"Well," Scarlett asked, "Answer me!" The two people who had been following her just stared. One was a boy with black hair and deadly pale skin, his eyes faded blue. The other was a girl with curly brown hair as well as scared green eyes n . The boy glared at her and said, "You took something that wasn't yours and now-"

The brown-haired girl's expression suddenly shifted to anger as she leapt through the window and pounced on Scarlett. "Give me back my jewel." She growled. "YOUR jewel?! This is YOURS?! You've GOT to be KIDDING me! This is a Genesis jewel!" Scarlett screamed, gasping for air from underneath the girl's weight.

"A what- nevermind!" The girl glanced at the boy and he headed over to the counter and grabbed the jewel. "Wait! Stop! I need that!" Scarlett struggled against the girl but she was too strong. "No, I need that! It's mine!" The girl argued.

"Who gave that to you?" Scarlett asked. Maybe she could track down the person and find out the Genesis member. "Why would I tell you?" The girl asked, pressing harder on Scarlett's throat. "I'll tell you what the Genesis is, just hear me out! Who are you?" Scarlett managed to choke out.

"I'm asking the questions. Who are you and why did you steal from me? That was the only gift I ever received." The girl's voice tightened slightly. "Steal? This was lying around in the forest!" Scarlett growled, attempting to keep her voice level normal. "Why do you need it?" The girl asked, ignoring Scarlett's angry glare.

"I'm on a mission to find out where the Genesis are. I'm trying to prove myself." Scarlett replied, bluntly. "Who are the Genesis and what does it have to do with my jewel?" The girl asked another question. Scarlett found no point in lying to the girl. "It's a way of teleportation to their base. This jewel is used to go to the headquarters of the Genesis. I would never have expected it to be a gift, I'm sorry!"

For some strange reason, she meant it. Something about the girl was just sorrow and guilt. Scarlett looked at the both of them, trying to gather her thoughts about everything. She sighed. "Let me tell you everything from the beginning. Starting with my name. I'm Scarlett."
