Chapter 9: A date?

Third POV

Jungkook stared into his reflection in the mirror. He was going out with a very hot Alpha and he had nothing to wear. He frowned as he looked himself up and down. He wouldn't consider himself attractive. He thinks he looks like a twelve-year-old who hasn't gone through puberty yet. A knock at the door interrupted his thoughts. Before Jungkook could say come in, the intruder walked in.

"Sooooo," Jimin drawled out, "A little birdie told me you are going out tolunch with Alpha Hunky again."

"Who told?" Jungkook pouted already knowing who did.

"Obviously Jae that boy cannot keep his mouth shut," Jimin laughed as he walked up to the younger. "So what are you wearing?"

"That's the problem," Jungkook sighed and walked over to his walk-in closet, "I have no idea."

"I swear I'm your stylist," Jimin giggled walking in and grabbing a few things.

"How am I supposed to eat if I'm in skinny jeans?" Jungkook questioned.

"You don't eat as much fatty," Jimin teased throwing the clothes at Jungkook. Jungkook gasped in disbelief.

"I'll have you know that my abs are better than yours," Jungkook stated with his head held up high.

"But you thighs are extra thicc," Jimin winked before walking out of the closet allowing Jungkook to change. Jungkook groaned as he pulled up his skinny jeans and knew Jimin was right. He threw on the shirt and walked out to see Jimin laying on his bed on his phone.

"Time for your hair!" Jimin squealed getting off the bed and running over to the boy. He pulled him on a chair and stared at his hair.

"I say we part it and show off your forehead," Jimin voices out loud. Jungkook nodded and allowed Jimin to style his hair for him. As soon as he finished there was a knock at the door. Jimin immediately bolted to the door and opened it.

Jimin smiled, "Hello Alpha."

"Hi Jimin," Taehyung greeted, "Is Jungkook in here?"

"Yes, he is," Jimin grinned cheekily, "Oh Kookie! Romeo is here." Jungkook blushed as he stood up from the chair. He looked over at the mirror one more time before reaching the door.

"Hi Alpha Tae," Jungkook greeted with a shy smile. This made Taehyung's grin expand wider.

"Are you ready to go bun?" he questioned. Jungkook nodded and exited his room.

"Have fun!" Jimin yelled out as the two began walking away. Jungkook rolled his eyes and followed the older.

Once they reached his car Jungkook finally spoke, "So where are we going?" Taehyung opened the door for Jungkook before closing it and running over to the other side.

"I was thinking we could go on a picnic because Jin made us some food that's in the back," Taehyung answered as he climbed in.

"I love Jin's food," Jungkook groaned.

"I hope you do because he cooks almost every day," Taehyung laughs. During the ride, Jungkook hoped this wasn't going to be some cheesy romance book where the boy takes the other to his favorite place which happens to be a lake in the middle of nowhere. (I mean this happens all the time and I can say that because I did it once)

As Taehyung parked, Jungkook looked around confused. He couldn't pinpoint where they were.

"What is this place?" Jungkook questioned while Taehyung was grabbing the food from the car.

"This bun, is a friend of mine's land," Taehyung replied closing the car door, "It used to be an amusement park but it closed down because of how small it is. But my friend set me up and gave me the key to all the rides. But this has to be our little secret"

Jungkook's eyes widened in excitement, "I love rides!"

"I know," Taehyung chuckled, "Yoongi told me. But first, let's go eat at the picnic table." He followed Taehyung to the table tried to help him set up. Taehyung gave him a wave of dismissal as the younger pouted and sat down. Taehyung pulled out an array of dishes. They all happened to be Jungkook's favorite.

"I love all of these," Jungkook said with wide eyes.

"Jin does know everything," Taehyung shrugged.

"As he said he does," Jungkook rolled his eyes. Taehyung gave out a warm chuckle that sent shivers down Jungkook's spine.

"Let's dig in," Taehyung said sitting down across from the other boy. Jungkook began munching on the fries "So tell about what you want in your future mate." Jungkook almost choked on his fries.

"Umm, I don't know," Jungkook says clearing his throat, "At first I really wanted it to be Hoseok."

"Oh really," Taehyung says leaning forward, "Now why is that?"

"I guess it's because he's funny, is really nice, and on the basketball team," Jungkook answered honestly.

"I'm on the basketball team," Taehyung inputs.

"That's not the point," Jungkook giggles with a wide smile before it transitioned into a frown. "I was really looking forward to my date with him."

"Have you ever been on a date before bun?" Taehyung asked between bites of the chicken tenders.

"No, I have not. Yoongi always told me to wait for my mate," Jungkook replied. This was true. Yoongi didn't believe in dating others before your mate because it was a waste of time. He also never believed in mating with someone if that person is not of age yet because it is half sided. This made Jungkook wonder if his brother had found his mate but that said person was younger than him.

"Well consider this your first date," Taehyung says proudly. Jungkook's eyes widened in shock which happens quite often these days.

"Oh," is all Jungkook could say at that moment.

Yay! Lynx squealed.

Shut up

Is that your response every time I say something?

Yes.

"Moving on," Taehyung smirked upon seeing the boy's reaction, "How do you feel about Hoseok?"

Jungkook sighed, even he didn't know the exact answer. "I'm pretty sure I still like him. It takes a while for a childhood crush to fully disappear."

"I say you need a distraction," Taehyung states as he stands up dramatically. "Let's go on some rides." Jungkook's smile widened and he stood up as well.

"What do you want to go one first?" Taehyung asked.

"Can we please go on the Ferris wheel?" Jungkook begged as he looked up at the ride with bright eyes.

"You can go on first so I can work the ride," Taehyung says walking to the control box. Jungkook squeals and runs to the seat. He sits down and fastens his seat belt. Like he always says, safety comes before coolness.

"Are you ready baby?" Taehyung asked turning on the power. Jungkook was so giddy the nickname flew past him.

"Yes!" Jungkook giggles. Taehyung smiles at this and flips the switch. The ride begins to spin and Jungkook laughs happily. "It's pretty up here Taehyungie." Taehyung looks up to the top of the ride and sees Jungkook with the brightest smile on and it made him grin as well.

After hours of Jungkook riding all the rides, they decided to head home. The car ride was quiet with the radio playing softly in the background that lulled the younger to sleep. As Taehyung parked the car he looked over and smiled. He picked up the boy and carried him to his room. He placed him softly on the bed and stared at him fondly.

His skin looked so soft and his eyelashes rested perfectly on his face. His cheeks were pink from the cold and his lips were the same.

"Sweet dreams baby," he whispered before leaning down and giving a small peck on the forehead.
