Chapter 7: Bunny

Third POV

Silence.

The boys looked at Jungkook waiting for the boy to answer. It was not surprising that the boys knew about Jungkook's not so secret crush. They were expecting him to say yes but they weren't expecting him to freeze.

"S-sure," Jungkook finally says before quickly looking down at his lap. There were sounds of whistling which filled the awkward silence.

"Great," Hoseok smiles, "We'll go out tomorrow after school." Jungkook nodded and bit his lip. He turned to Jimin who winked at him. Jungkook blushed once again and looked at his brother who had a hard look on his face.

"Dinner is ready," Jin screams grabbing everyone's attention. Everyone stood up and walked to the dining room. Jungkook giggled and stood up happily.

Jungkook laid in bed staring up at his ceiling. Jin had told him to try to stop taking the medication and let his body sleep on its own. Jin didn't know that it was going to be very hard. He sighed and crawled out of bed. He rubbed his eyes and dragged his feet to his brother's room. He opened to door slowly hoping to not disturb anyone else in the house.

"Jungkookie?" Yoongi groans.

"Can I sleep with hyungie?" he whispers as he tiptoes to the bed.

"Of course," Yoongi answers lifting up the covers letting Jungkook climb into bed. He snuggles up to the older and sighs.

"Are you sure you are ready to date?" Yoongi asks out of nowhere.

"Yes," Jungkook replies as he closes his eyes.

"What about your mate?" Yoongi questions looking down at the boy's face.

"I'm 17, I have one year to explore before I settle down with my mate," Jungkook says, "Goodnight Yoonie."

"Goodnight."

School was boring, to say the least. The only thing getting Jungkook through this day was his date tonight.

"I need help," Jungkook whines as he stares at himself in the mirror, "Am I ugly?"

"Bitch I will smack you," Jin says standing up from the bed. "You have my genes."

"You do know you didn't physically give birth to me," Jungkook responds rolling his eyes.

"I'm related to your mother so shut your mouth," Jin sassed.

"Should I call you Uncle Jin then?" Jungkook smirks.

"Nope. Makes me feel old," Jin states.

"Anyways, we got you Kookie," Jimin says, "We are your fashion experts and will make you look the absolute cutest for your date."

"Thank you," Jungkook beams.

"I say jeans and a yellow top because you look adorable in yellow and I just want to eat you up when I see you wearing it," Jin suggests walking into the youngest's closet.

"Hopefully Hoseok will also," Jimin winks to a blushing Jungkook.

Jin gasps, "My child will not be engaging in sexual activities on the first date."

"Right," Jimin laughs, "Sex is for the second date."

"Like I always say, sexond date," Jin proceeds into a fit of laughter.

"You guys are annoying," Jungkook groans, "But I agree with overalls."

"Great," Jimin says handing him his outfit, "Try this on." Jungkook grabs the clothes and heads into the bathroom to put them on.

"Don't forget to kiss him on the cheek when he returns you back to your room," Jin says playfully nudging Jimin.

"If you are feeling edgy kiss him on the neck," Jimin laughs.

"Or lips," Jin adds.

"Yall are ugly," Jungkook sighs walking out of the bathroom.

"Oh my god, you are the cutest thing ever," Jin coos as he walks to the boy to pull him into a tight hug. There was a knock at the door and Jimin ran to open it.

"Hello Hoseok," Jimin greets opening the door wider, "Jungkook just finished getting ready."

"Cool," he answered. Jungkook cracked his knuckles and walked to the door.

"Hi, Hoseokie," Jungkook waves with a bright smile on his face.

"Hey, are you ready to go?" Hoseok asks. Jungkook nods and steps out of his room.

"Have fun kids," Jin says as they began walking away.

"Jin is really interesting isn't he," Hoseok laughs as they exit the house.

"He is," Jungkook giggles, "He's basically my mother."

"Speaking of mother," Hoseok says opening the car door for Jungkook, "How are you parents doing in Hawaii with Taehyung's parents?"

"The alliance they want to form is going well," Jungkook answers climbing into the car, "She called me yesterday."

"That's good," Hoseok says getting into the driver's seat.

"So where are we going?" Jungkook questions as they got on the road.

"A diner," Hoseok answers, "I heard they had the best burgers in town."

"That's cool," Jungkook replies playing with his hands.

The ride was silent except for the radio playing. Jungkook distracted himself by staring outside the window watching the trees.

"We're here," Hoseok announces as he stopped the car. He got out of the car and ran to the other side to open it for Jungkook.

"Thank you," Jungkook says as he exited the car. He looked around and smiled at the setting. It was a retro diner with Mel's Diner written in bold LED letters. Hoseok placed his hand on Jungkook's back and led him into the diner. They entered and heard the little bell on top of the door ring.

"Welcome to Mel's diner. Would you two like a booth?" The waitress asks.

"That sounds great," Hoseok smiles. The waitress led them to a booth in the corner and the boys sat opposite of each other.

"What can I get you guys?" she questions.

"Can I get a banana milkshake and a cheeseburger with fries?" Jungkooks tells the lady before looking a Hoseok.

"I'll get the same with a sprite instead," Hoseok adds.

She nods and writes it down, "I'll be back shortly with your orders."

"So how was your day?" Hoseok inquires.

"It was goo-," before Jungkook could finish his sentence Hoseok's phone rings.

"I'm really sorry can I pick this up?" Hoseok apologizes.

"Of course," Jungkook nods. Hoseok smiles and picks up the phone.

"Hey? What? Is he okay? Why do I need to go?" Hoseok talks into the phone. Jungkook's eyes widen at the conversation and a minute later Hoseok hangs up.

"This is a real ass move but I need to go," Hoseok says rubbing his temples.

"What happened?" Jungkook asks genuinely confused.

"Dave got into a car crash and I need to go because he put me as his emergency contact," Hoseok explains.

"Oh no," Jungkook gasps, "You should go."

"Thank you for being so understanding. I'll pay for the meal and you stay here and enjoy," Hoseok says, "I'm so sorry."

"It's totally fine," Jungkook stated.

"Sorry," Hoseok says one final time before running out of the diner.

Jungkook sighs and takes out his phone. He sees a text from Jimin and opens it.

He frowns and begins to text his brother.

"Here's your food," the waitress says putting down the plates and drinks, "Where is the other man?" Jungkook wipes the tear he didn't know had fallen.

"He had to leave but someone else is coming," Jungkook responds. She nods and walks away. He munches on his food and looks up as the bell on the door rings. He sees Taehyung enter and the waitress lady checking him out.

"Would you like a table handsome?" she purrs.

"I'm okay thanks," he responds as he looks around. He spots Jungkook and walks over to him.

"Hey," he greets as he sits down.

"You didn't have to come you know," Jungkook frowns as he sips his milkshake.

"I didn't want to leave a cute little bunny by himself," Taehyung teases with a smirk.

"You know what I am cute. Boy's suck," Jungkook pouts.

"They do."

"I got dressed up for him."

"And you look adorable."

"Jin told me to kiss him."

"Woah there, tiger."

"I wanted to explore before I settled down with my mate."

"Sounds fun."

"I give up on boys. I'm going to date girls now."

"Are you becoming a hetero?"

"Heh. Nah. Boys are hot.

"Like me?"

Jungkook looks him up and down, "Sure." He then bursts into a fit of giggles.

That's how the rest of the night went. Taehyung making Jungkook laugh and happy. They got back home around an hour later.

"Thank you for staying with me tonight," Jungkook whispers looking up at Taehyung as they stood in front of his bedroom.

"You are very welcome."

"Goodnight," Jungkook squeaks. He stands on his tiptoes and gives a quick peck on Taehyung's cheek. His face turns red and he runs into his room. Taehyung smiles fondly and goes to his own room.

That night a certain bunny dreamt about a tiger.
