Chapter 16: Mine

(There are a lot of random time skips so sorry in advance this chapter takes place around two weeks)

Third POV

It was Monday. Meaning school is starting once again. Jungkook hated this because his weekend was the best he had ever had. It was filled with bliss because of the late-night kisses and cuddles from his mate and now he had to keep it a secret. He knew it was for his good but he couldn't help but frown when he realized he couldn't show public affection to his handsome mate.

Taehyung was a ladies man. This showed when Jungkook saw him walking through the hallways with every girl's eyes on him whispering to each other. He couldn't blame them because he is the Alpha and is very hot.

Jungkook sighed for the hundredth time as he stared at his mate talking to his teammates.

"You are so dramatic," Jimin laughed going through his locker. It has only been a couple of days and he can't keep his secret for Jimin any longer. He was going to break sooner or later.

The later or in this case sooner was five hours later in his room. Jimin was babbling about this teacher once again before Jungkook blurted out "Taehyung is my mate" out of nowhere.

"Deadass?" Jimin questioned. Jungkook laughed and nodded his head. Jimin squealed and tackled him into a bone-crushing hug. "I'm so happy for you."

"Thanks," Jungkook smiled, "But we have to keep it a secret." Jimin nodded as Jungkook explained why they needed to and Jimin agreed to keep it a secret as well.

On Wednesday Jungkook was upset.

The news came around that his and Taehyung's parents were returning in two weeks. This pushed girls around them to throw themselves at Taehyung and Yoongi. This annoyed both him and Jimin so much to the extent that they were frowning during their dance club meeting. They NEVER frown in that club.

"Will you get up and stop moping," Mingyu complained. Jungkook groaned and stood up pulling Jimin up with him. "What is wrong with you guys?"

"Girls," Jimin whined.

"You guys are gay," Felix asked confused. Mingyu let out a chuckle as Felix hit him.

"Not that type of girl problems," Jungkook rolled his eyes.

"We mean girls throwing themselves at our men," Jimin stated with his arms crossed.

"Wow you guys are dramatic," Mingyu laughed.

"Shut up," Felix punched him in the arm, "What if someone went out with Wonwoo?" That shut Mingyu up real fast.

It was Friday night and Jungkook had enough. The girls were getting worse and Jungkook couldn't do anything about it. Well, he could. He had a plan.

"Taehyungie," Jungkook called out his name sweetly when he stepped into his office.

"Yes baby," Taehyung cooed when he saw his pretty boy.

"Will you cuddle with me tonight?" Jungkook asked as he moved back and forth on the balls of his feet.

Taehyung smiled, "Of course."

Later that night Jungkook was lying in his bed waiting for his mate. Jin stuffed so much food down his throat because he had skipped lunch today. His stomach hurt and he rolled himself into a burrito to escape from the cold. He heard the door open and he smiled.

"Hey," Taehyung whispered before shutting the door. He walked carefully not to disturb the boy in bed who he assumed was sleeping.

"I'm cold," Jungkook muttered from his burrito. Taehyung chuckled and walked over to the bed. He carefully climbed on and rolled the boy over until they were facing each other.

"Will you let me into the blanket?" Taehyung asked. Jungkook nodded and unwrapped himself. He hissed when his body was revealed to the cold air and immediately got back under the blanket. Taehyung got under the blanket as well and pulled the shivering boy towards him.

"Jin made me eat a lot and now my stomach hurts," Jungkook whined burying his face into his mate's neck. Taehyung hummed and began rubbing small circles on the boy's bare stomach. Jungkook purred affectionately at the feeling of his hands.

"I wanted to talk to you about something," Jungkook says sighing. Taehyung let out a small hum urging the boy to continue. "I don't like keeping it a secret."

"Why is that?" Taehyung asked as Jungkook pulled away from his neck so they could make eye contact.

"Because girls are stupid," Jungkook pouted. Taehyung cooed and kissed the pout away.

Mate is jealous. Atlas chuckled.

I know it's cute.

"Will you be happier if we went public?" Taehyung questioned moving his hands to play with the boy's hair instead. Jungkook carefully thought about this. Their parents were to come back soon so I guess going public now wouldn't be that big of a deal. He had all week for him to think about becoming the pack's Luna. He doesn't know if he's right for the job but he would try his hardest and make everyone proud.

"Yes," Jungkook whispered. Taehyung chuckled and kissed his cheek.

"I say we don't announce anything formally until our parents come back," Taehyung says, "But we can act like a couple in public. This will get people talking." Jungkook giggled and he kissed Taehyung cheek happily.

Jungkook spent most of his weekend once again cuddling with his mate. Then Monday began.

"Yoonie, hurry up," Jungkook yelled as he waited at the front door with Taehyung and Jimin. They were ready to leave for school and Yoongi was driving all of them but he was taking forever.

"Calm down baby," Taehyung laughed as he wrapped his arms around the boy's tiny waist. Yoongi walked into the room and frowned.

"No touching my baby brother in front of me," Yoongi scolded smacking his Alpha. Taehyung groaned and rolled his eyes as Jungkook giggled. I guess he was okay with it. They all climbed into Yoongi's car and made their way to school.

When they got out of the car Taehyung grabbed Jungkook's hand and began walking into school. Jungkook smiled happily as they walked. This obviously caused many heads to turn their direction. Girls and boys were whispering to each other as they wondered what the future Alpha was doing with the Beta's youngest son.

Jimin ran over to them and pulled Jungkook away from Taehyung, "We need to get to class." Taehyung nodded and allowed Jungkook to be dragged away from his best friend.

Jungkook has been clingy, to say the least.

He was attached to Taehyung practically every day since they decided to no longer keep it a secret. He loved the attention from him and Taehyung absolutely loved giving his attention.

Taehyung still remained passive thought. He didn't want anyone seeing that his baby boy was his only weakness. As they walked through the hallways or when they talked, Taehyung had a resting bitch face while Jungkook was giggling and smiling. Jungkook didn't mind this because he knows when they get home Taehyung becomes the softest boy ever.

It was Wednesday when Jungkook was approached by the "popular girls" when he was alone.

"Hey, Bitch," Seohyun called out with her friends behind him. He turned and he rolled his eyes.

"I suggest you stop throwing yourself at my mate," she threatened.

"I"m not," he scoffed. She rolled her eyes and crossed her arms.

"I've seen the way you've been clinging on to him. Can't you see he doesn't like you and thinks you are a nuisance." His heart slightly tugged when he heard this but he knew it was not true. Because Taehyung is worse than he is when they are alone.

"Does everyone assume this?" Jungkook asked aloud.

"They think he has you wrapped around his finger because you are just a toy to him," she smirked as the girls behind her giggled.

"I will prove you wrong. He is wrapped around mine just as much."

"I have an idea," Jimin squealed during their club meeting. They were all gathered in the dance room and the two boys were once again sitting in the back eating when everyone else was dancing.

"What is it?" Jungkook asked eating his bag of chips.

"You know how Taehyung usually doesn't show emotion," Jimin states as Jungkook nods, "Unless he is angry."

"So you want me to make my mate angry at me," Jungkook scoffed. Stupid plan.

"No," Jimin laughed, "We get him jealous."

"That is a stupid idea," Jungkook laughs as he finished his last chip.

"No, but listen to me. We do this during lunch in front of everyone and get one of our friends to help," Jimin says as he looked around the room, "Mingyu!"

"Yes," Mingyu answered putting Felix down who was on his shoulders.

"We need your help," Jimin laughs evilly. Jungkook rolled his eyes as Jimin came up with a plan.

Soon it was finally lunch and they were sitting at their usual table. Taehyung was sitting with the basketball players and the cheerleaders including Seohyun. Jungkook walked in when Jimin texted him and he walked over to their table.

Mingyu grinned and pulled the other boy onto his lap. "Sup Jungkookie."

"This is stupid," Jungkook mumbled as he felt everyone staring.

"If I get punched don't forget you owe me ice cream," Mingyu teased him kissing his head before putting his arms around his waist.

"Oh, I think you will," Jae laughs, "The Alpha is angry." Jungkook could not see Taehyung because he was facing the other way but he frowned. His mate was mad.

At the other table, everyone was confused. Taehyung's eyes began glowing bright gold before they turned black when he squeezed the water bottle in his hand.

"Taehyungie what's wrong?" Seohyun purred as she put her hand on his shoulder. He pushed her hand off and stood up.

"Mine," he growled. He was not thinking rationally because he remembers Jungkook mentioning he had a crush on Mingyu when they were younger. He stalked over to their table scaring everyone in his way. Jungkook let out a whimper when he heard his mate growl behind him.

"Mate," Taehyung sneered pulling Jungkook off of Mingyu. Before Mingyu could react he was punched by the angry Alpha. Jimin winced pulling out the ice pack he had ready.

"Mine," Taehyung growled loudly telling everyone around him before picking up Jungkook and throwing him over his shoulders.

"It worked," Felix giggled.

SO this chapter is a mess honestly

I could have separated it into two chapters but if I did my schedule I have would be off

So yeah the "secret" lasted a chapter fun
