Chapter 1: Welcome Back

Third POV

It was the first day back from winter break. Everyone dreaded returning to the hell that is school. Some wanted to go back on vacation on an island far away from everyone. And that's exactly what Jungkook wanted to do.

"Why do I have to go to school?" Jungkook whines as he puts on his hoodie.

"Education is important," Jimin shrugs in his seat on Jungkook's bed.

"Stupid," Jungkook mumbles leaning down grabbing his backpack. "Let's go." Both boys ran out of Jungkook's room and down the stairs.

"Morning," they both greeted the other pack members.

"Kookie," Jin yells from the kitchen.

"Coming!" he yells back before running into the kitchen. Jin was currently cooking breakfast for the pack members. So he was quite busy.

"Eat something before going to school," Jin says gesturing to the bowl of fruit. Jungkook nods and grabs an apple.

"Thanks gotta go," Jungkook says quickly and runs back to Jimin.

"Is your hot brother driving us to school?" Jimin nudges Jungkook with a wink.

"Umm gross but no," Jungkook says gaging in his head, "He left early."

"Have you seen him since you got back from Hawaii?" Jimin asks as they walked out of the pack house.

"Nope, haven't seen him since he left for Taehyung's birthday," Jungkook answers. He starts eating his apple while they walked to school.

"Taehyung turned eighteen and hasn't found his mate," Jimin informs, "He's going to be Alpha next year hopefully he finds his Luna."

"True," Jungkook says in between bites.

"Gross," Jimin giggles.

"Yoongi is nineteen but he said and I quote he doesn't have time to focus on a mate right now," Jungkook states.

"Good luck to his future mate," Jimin says with a smile, "He's pretty moody."

"One hundred percent," Jungkook agrees.

After ten minutes of walking the boys finally made it to school. There were students talking and greeting each other. Jungkook was looking for his brother.

"There," Jimin says pointing to a tree. He turned and saw Yoongi and Mingyu talking under a tree. Jungkook ran with Jimin following behind him.

"Yoonie," Jungkook squeals. Yoongi smiled and opened his arms awaiting his brother. Jungkook ran into his brother's arms.

"Hey Jungkookie," Yoongi greets with a chuckle.

"Wow there Yoongi," Mingyu laughs, "I've never seen you smile."

"Shut up dumbass," Yoongi growls.

"There he is," he laughs. Yoongi releases Jungkook from their hug before patting his head.

"Anyways I have to go," Mingyu says, "I'll see you guys later." They all said goodbye when Mingyu left the shade of the tree.

"You ready to go to school?" Yoongi asks.

"Nope," Jungkook says truthfully.

"Too bad," Jimin laughs linking arms with him. All three boys entered the school and walked through the crowded halls.

"Do you need to go to your locker?" Yoongi asks.

"Yeah, I'll see you at lunch," Jungkook answers. Yoongi nods and waves goodbye and disappears into the crowd. As the two got closer to their lockers Jungkook let out a gasp.

"What?" Jimin questioned.

"Hoseok," he says frozen in his spot.

"What about him?" Jimin laughs pulling Jungkook to their lockers.

"He's so handsome," Jungkook says still in his trance.

"Uhuh," Jimin says opening his locker grabbing his book. He then opens Jungkook's because the boy was currently not available.

"What class do you have first?" Jimin asks.

"Ap Bio," Jungkook says still not clearly there.

"Alrighty," Jimin huffs grabbing the book and placing it in Jungkook's arms.

"Let's get you to class," Jimin vocalized. He tugged on the younger's arm and dragged him to his first class. Soon enough they were in front of his bio class.

"What just happened?" Jungkook asked clearly back to normal.

"You saw Hoseok and went all frozen on me again," Jimin replied.

"You can't deny he's beautiful," Jungkook states crossing his arms.

"Whatever you say," Jimin laughs, "I have to get to class now." Jimin pushes Jungkook into his classroom and waves goodbye. Jungkook waves back and turns around to see half of the class talking. He looked around and saw Mingyu waving at him. He smiled and walked over to the boy and sat down next to him.

"Hey, did you do the winter break assignment?" Mingyu asks as Jungkook began rummaging through his backpack.

"Yeah," Jungkook huffs, "I did it last week in Hawaii when I could have been swimming and looking at cute boys."

"What about Hoseok?" Mingyu teases.

"No one could ever replace Hoseokie," Jungkook says completely serious. He grabs his notebook and pencil out from his backpack.

"Did you hear about how future Alpha Taehyung didn't find his mate?" Mingyu questions.

"Yeah," Jungkook answers bitting on his pencil as he flipped through the pages of his notebook.

"I bet his mate is male," Mingyu states.

"In this society it most likely possible," Jungkook replies. He looks up when he hears an eruption of whispers and giggles from girls. He looked at the door and made eye contact with the future Alpha.

Kim Taehyung

"What about him?" Mingyu asks with a teasing grin.

"Shut up," Jungkook mumbled dropping his pencil when he realized he was staring. He looked back up and saw Taehyung walking to the back of the room. He sat down in the very last seat in the corner with a sigh.

"He's hot," Jungkook begins, "But he's really closed off. Not like my sunshine and the light of my life."

"Of course," Mingyu smirks punching the Jungkook's arm.

"How was school?" Jin asks as Jungkook sat down at the dining table with a sigh.

"It was boring," Jungkook pouts.

"Eat up Kookie," Jin says putting down a plate of grilled cheese in front of him.

"Thanks," Jungkook smiles as Jin pats his head. He grabs the sandwich and begins eating as Jimin walks into the room.

"Hey," Jimin greets sitting down next to him with a bowl of grapes. "Do you want to go on a run with me tomorrow?"

Jungkook nods and reaches over for a grape. Jimin smacks his hand away.

"Get your own bowl."

"Meanie," Jungkook whines rubbing his hand.

"Hey Jungkookie," Yoongi says as he enters the room with the rest of the basketball team. Including Taehyung and Hoseok.

"Hi," Jungkook waves and continues eating his sandwich.

"Why are you eating right now you are going to spoil your dinner," Yoongi scolds grabbing the sandwich out of his hands.

"Hey," Jungkook whines as Yoongi takes a bite. "Get your own if you are hungry."

"Nah I'm fine," Yoongi teases.

"Do you want some grapes?" Jimin asks holding out his bowl.

Yoongi shakes his head and gestures for the boys to follow him into the kitchen.

"I'll take some," Hoseok smiles grabbing a grape before following the boys.

"Did you see that," Jimin says eating a grape, "Yoongi noticed me."

"That would be concerning if he didn't since we've known each other since we were born," Jungkook laughs. "But did you see Hoseok oh my."

Jungkook stared up at the ceiling above as he laid in his bed. He's been tossing and turning all night and he couldn't sleep. He ran out of his sleeping pills and can't get more until tomorrow morning. He sighs as he looks at the clock on his nightstand. It was one in the morning.

He tosses the blankets off of him and climbs off the bed. He creeps out of his room and into the hallways. He quietly makes his way to the room he feels the safest in. He opens the door and closes it softly. He makes his way over to the bed.

"Yoonie?" Jungkook whispers into the silence of the night, "Can I sleep with you?" Yoongi groans but moves over so Jungkook could sleep next to him.

Jungkook smiles and climbs onto the bed. He gets under the blanket and snuggles closer to his brother hoping he could sleep tonight.
