I got up to quickly put on a white crop top, fix my hair and make up. I opened the window for better lighting and placed my phone in a place were the lighting was perfect. I didn't know why I was going out of my way to impress him.

The phone started ringing and soon it was connecting, then connected showed on the phone screen, he's answered.

Right in front of me was the most gorgeous guy I've ever seen, I couldn't tell if he was tall because he was sitting down but he looked tall, his eyes were a light brown that complemented with his also brown but darker hair.

His eyes were fixated on the phone screen. I totally knew him, he was the guy who asked for directions in the school hall, the guy who I caught staring at me on my way to school one day, it was him.

His lips tilted up in a smirk realizing that I could recognize him. I always wanted to see that cocky smirk and here it was, right in front of me.

To say that I was satisfied would be an understatement. "Hey Kayla it's Jay."

"Figured."

Jay chuckled and I died, not literally but you know what I mean. We both stared at each other in silence, I honestly didn't know what to say. It was then that I truly understood the meaning of 'silence speaks louder than words.'

"Bye Kayla."

I smiled not wanting to end the call.  "Bye Jay."
