Chapter One ✔

I snatched my school textbooks out of my locker and held them in one hand and close my locker shut in the other hand. "Hey, Jessica!" A familiar girly girl and high pitched voice exclaims from a few feet away. I turn around to see my best friend Chloe Ross running towards me through the crowded hallway of Washington Park High. Chloe's blonde short hair was really cute and her huge smile is so flattering.

"Hi, Chloe." I say, happily. "Hey, Jess did hear about Kevin's party tonight at his house?" Chloe questions. Chloe is such a social butterfly; getting the latest gossip and scoop on everyone and everything around here these days.

The school hallway stunk of moth balls and must, smelling more like the boy's locker room than a hallway. Gross.

"No, I really don't care and I'm not going. I have to study for my Algebra test." I explain. "I'm not going either." My other best friend, Ian Cross, chimes in while he opens his locker and begins to dig through it.

"Why would I even want to go to a party hosted by one of The Charmers?" I ask her.

"You guys are so lame. You should come to Kevin's part--" Chloe stops midsentence and turns around. I follow her eyes to the center of the hallway.

"Speaking of the fucking devil...." I mutter under my breathe. I, Chloe, and Ian watch as Kevin Parker, Ethan Tyler, Dylan Black, and Matt Summers walked down the school hallway. People had divided like The Red Sea and stared at the four Charmers of WPH that strolled casually through the hallway.

Kevin, Ethan, Matt, and Dylan were all different yet the same; Kevin was the cocky perverted hot guy, Ethan was the handsome blunt golden boy, Matt was smoldering cute mean jock, and Dylan was the mysterious dark and cold outcast.

Girls would drool over all of them and even throw themselves at The Charmers just to have sex with them (except me), even though, they will get their heartbroken the very next day. Guys, of course, envied the way Kevin and the rest of the guys could get girl just by their sight of their killer sexy smirks and good looks.

It wasn't fair and everyone knew it.

"You guys can stay here and look at those players all day, but I'm going to class." I tell them, as I walk away from locker and down a long hallway to my last period, which is World Geography.

"Wait, for us." Chloe says, as she and Ian run behind me. "Did you get the text about the party that everyone got from Kevin yesterday?" She asks.

"Yes. But, like I said I'm not going. I have a test to study for." I repeat. "Why don't you just come to my party and fuck studying, sugar?" A familiar cocky insanely annoyingly voice asks from behind me.

I whip my head around and find Kevin, Dylan, Ethan, and Matt walking behind us. I tuck my stray of chocolate dark brown hair behind me ear and sigh frustratedly.

"Because, I rather get my education and do something with my life instead of getting drunk at a lame party." I snap.

"Oh, doll face, is the feisty type. I like that." Matt laughs. "Me too." Ethan agrees. "Baby cakes, come please." Kevin begs.

Kevin runs in front of me and softly pushes me towards the wall in school hallway. His arms are on the wall and I feel like I'm in a cell in Orange Is The New Black. "How about.....no." I tell him, fake-smiling.

"You either come to my party or I will confess my fake love for you like in those chick flicks you girls watch." He threatens me, with a smirk.

I take one look into his beautiful dark brown eyes and then shove him and turn to walk away. "You wouldn't dare, Kevin." I press.

"Watch me, my love." He says. Kevin clears his throat very loud and begins to yells, "Jessica, Please can you take me back! I'm so sorry for being a jerk!"

I look around the hallway to see everyone has stopped and turn their attention to Kevin and I. Some of them are laughing and others are pointing and staring hard.

"Oh, hell no." I mumble. I walk over to Kevin and cover his mouth with my hand. "Stop, asshole. I'll go to you party if you just stop. Stop, please." I beg him.

I huff in defeat and watch a smirk play on his handsome face. "I knew you would give up." He tells me, as he stare deeply into my round chocolate brown eyes.

"Whatever, shit face." I say, annoyed.
He grabs my hand and kiss it quickly.
Then, Kevin blows me a kiss and walks away in the opposite direction of I and my two best friends with the rest of The Charmers laughing hesretically loud.

"That was so fucking embarrassing." I say. "I can't believe he did that." I lie, through my clenched shiny white teeth.

Who am I kidding, when Kevin wants something he will do anything in his power to get it, despite the consequences and circumstances.

He has always been that way, Forever and Always.

"Now, are you going to Kevin's party tonight?" Chloe asks, trying hard to hide her giggle and the humor in her bubbly voice.

"Unfortunately, yep." I say, as we walk into World Geography class together side by side. But, I have this gut feeling that tonight at Kevin's party, my life is going to change and maybe never ever be the same. Again.
