Ivan's P.O.V.

I was walking with Harry, Sam and Parker to the canteen. Alisha had called me as she wanted to talk something important. On my way to the canteen, I saw Hazel taking out books from her locker. As usual, she was all alone.

She closed her locker and her eyes made its way towards us. Her eyes met mine first, those green eyes always make me stare at them. I like that color. She gave me a blank expression and then her eyes travelled to Parker walking on my side.

She smiled at him, I glanced at Parker who gave her a small smile but when he saw me glaring at her, he removed his gaze.

Good!!

We walked past her only to be stopped by her. "Parker", I heard her voice. We all stopped and turned to see her.

She looked at all of us and then after focusing her eyes on Parker, she said, "I need to talk to you".

"He's busy", I said before Parker could even speak.

"I won't take more than five minutes. Promise", she said not removing her gaze from Parker.

"Ok. Ivan, I'll meet you in the canteen", he said giving me a nod. I don't like it at all but I don't want to show my hatred for her as it would make her popular.

I walked to canteen leaving Parker alone with her. Sam and Harry joined me. I spotted Alisha sitting on our usual spot and she waved her hand to me after seeing me.

Walking towards her, I sat with her and she scooted closer to me and kissed on my cheeks. Harry and Sam sat by our side.

"Did you guys heard about this mountain tracking trip?", One of the girl who always stay with Alisha spoke. I don't even remember her name.

"No, what's that?", Sam asked taking interest in her.

"Our college is helding a trip for mountain tracking and campaigning. It's a trip of five days and all details are given on notice board. We've to give our names with fees by day after tomorrow", the other girl said.

"So, will you come?", Alisha asked looking at all of us.

"It sounds a fun trip to me", Harry spoke.

"If everyone is going then I'll come", I said and Alisha happily hugged me.

The girls started telling us about their plans and where should they go for shopping and all. Sam and Harry kept flirting with them whilst Alisha told me about her new pet. I was actually getting bored by her stupid blabbering but I hardly had any choice. I want to have fun on this trip and I can't make her mad at me.

Parker came and sat with us after twenty minutes. No, I wasn't counting, it's what Alisha said in a complaining way.

"You're twenty minutes late", Alisha said.

See, I told ya, I thought.

Twenty two minutes to be precise, back of my mind mocked.

Fine, shut up!!

"What did I miss? Sorry, someone asked me for a help", he said and I looked at him for a second. He looked back at me and gave me a nod stating that everything is under control.

"So, I was saying that-", Alisha said only to be cut off by a loud scream.

Our head shot in the direction of that scream which sounds belonging to a boy. We all ran where the crowd was gathered and the scene just filled me with happiness.

Nick was lying on the ground holding his little friend in his pants and was cursing badly. But what caught my attention was the small petite figure girl who held so much confidence in her eyed staring at him and was breathing heavily. She had kicked him for sure at the place where sun shines. She had got the most beautiful eyes, I've ever seen.

Hazel!!

"Next time touch me and you'll be into two pieces", she said looking at Nick and picked up her books from the ground. I saw Nick standing up taking support of the ground and he actually lunged to attack her.

In reflex, I moved a step ahead to save her from his attack but she just kicked her leg in his stomach making him bent a bit and then she flipped once and this time her leg kissed his cheeks and Nick was all on floor.

All students started cheering, clapping and shouting at her. No one knows her name still they're enjoying the show. She was raging in anger, I could see her chest moving up and down in anger. She once again kicked him when he tried to get up and then turned on her heels and left.

'Damn, you've impressed me Hazel', I thought.

"What were you doing?", Alisha asked shaking my shoulder making me look away from retreating figure of Hazel.

"What did I do?", I asked.

"Yeah right. When Nick was going to hit her, you actually walked two steps ahead as if to save her. You never do that. You always enjoy fights then why today?", Alisha asked and I kept staring at her. I was at loss of words.

You don't hate me, your eyes speak something else!! Hazel's words echoed in my ears.

"Because I hate Nick and it was an opportunity for me to beat him without getting into trouble", I said and she nodded in understanding.

"Ok. Let's go and eat something", she said and we all turned back to our chair.

"What a bad lie, buddy", Sam whispered in my ears and smirked.

"I wasn't bluffing", I hissed back.

"Sure, we trust you", Harry mocked. But I noticed Parker was missed. Where is he now?

Must be with her!!

I walked out of the changing room to the playground where all boys were huddled together except Nick. I can't stop my smile reminiscing the incident we just witness today. Who would have thought Hazel to be such a pro in beating the shit out of people!

Our coach came and looked all around us. He asked, "Where is your Captain?".

Every boy in the group was suppressing their laughs because duh huh, whole college get this news that a new bie had beaten the shit out of college's so called stud.

"He's in medical room sir", Harry said and I kept my eyes focused on the ground fearing to burst out in laughter.

"Why?", He asked in confusion.

"Because he was beaten by someone", Another boy said and then looked at us and gave a smirk.

Yeah, we all hate him!!

"But who?", He again asked.

"By a girl sir. She had beaten the shit out of him", I said this time and all laughed unable to control themselves anymore.

Our coach first gave us a schoking look but then he too smiled. He also find it funny. But then he cleared his throat and said, "I will go and meet him. You guys practice".

"Sir, one question. If Nick would not be able to play then who will be the captain?", I asked and he got my point because he knew how badly wanted to be the captain.

"You're the captain, wether he is in team or not", he said with a smile and I grinned. As soon as he left, Sam, Harry and Parker ran and we all group hugged.

"Welcome the new captain boys", I said and everyone cheered.

Hazel, you deserves a gift from me today!!

I came back home with a large size pizza only for Hazel. I don't care what's her issues with Nick and I guess Nick must be flirting with her that's why she kicked him but only because of her, I got my lost position of Captain again and get the golden opportunity to see that asshole on ground. Oh, what a lovely day!!

"I'm home", I called out and Emma came out of kitchen. It was nine by the time, I came home.

"Why had you brought pizza? I've made dinner. You should have called to tell me at least", she said seeming a bit upset.

"Shut up sister. It's for Hazel", I said and she frowned.

"I mean Vena. I don't like her name", I said and she sighed.

"But why had you brought it for her?", She asked.

"She helped me in something", I said recalling today's events in my mind.

"Ok. But I don't think she is in state to eat", she said.

"Why?", I asked.

"Check yourself", she said and then went back to kitchen. I saw Aiden sitting on the carpet surrounded by his toys. I frowned even more as why he's not with his mother. And ain't Hazel supposed to be at the café right now.

Whistling, I walked upstairs and knocked on the door. After a "Come in" reply, I rotated the knob and opened the door. But the view caught me off guard.

She looked up to see me and said, "Can you give me a hand here?". I nodded and kept the pizza box on the side table and walked to her.

She was bandaging her palm and I helped her in tieing the knot of the dressing and then cut it's extra part with a scissor.

"How did you get so much burises and injury?", I asked when I saw her forehead badaged, a blue bruise near her jaw line and a small cut on her right arm too. She was applying antiseptic on her arm right now.

"Nothing, a scum at college bumped into me", she said and I helped her in bandaging her arm too.

"Nick?", I asked.

"I don't know his name. But he'll not get off the bed for next one week now for sure. Such an asshole", she said whilst closing her first aid kit.

But I wasn't satisfied with her reply. There was something which I was missing and I'm dying to know that.

"I saw you beating him near the canteen. But you seemed fine by that time. How did you get so much injury?", I asked.

"Oh, so you saw my act. Like it?", She asked dodging my question with a smile and walked to keep the box in the drawer but I didn't fail to notice her walk. She was walking odd.

"What happened to your leg?", I asked.

"Got a bit sprain. I'll be fine albeit. Just need some rest", she said and came and sat back on her bed next to me.

"You should visit a doctor", I suggested.

"Nah, I'm fine. Really, don't worry. Why did you come here?", She asked.

"I've brought pizza for you", I said getting up from my seat.

"But why? Do you give pizza to people you hate?", She asked looking right into my eyes.

'You don't hate me', her words were echoing inside my head.

"It's a Thank you gift. I got to be the Team's Captain because of you", I said and she raised her eyebrows.

"Nick was the Team Captain", I said and she formed an 'O' from her mouth and nodded with an understanding.

"Ok but you should give this pizza to that scum. If he hadn't picked on me, he would be fine. I don't want to eat this pizza, I'm sorry", she said with a sad smile at me apologetically.

"Fine. Your wish", I said and walked out of the room. Before, I could shut the door she called me.

"Ivan", she said and I opened the door again. She got up from the bed and walked to me.

"Can you do me a favour?", She asked and I nodded.

"Can you give me Parker's number? I know that you don't like me with him because he's your friend but I just want to say Thanks to him. That's it", she said.

"Thanks for what?", I asked.

"For saving me from that scum", she said and it hit me really hard. I gave her Parker's number but now I'm more curious to know more.

Hazel didn't tell me everything. She don't want to tell me anything related to her but to Parker. As if I care.

Then why am I feeling down?
