Parker's POV

I slipped on my shirt and shook out my wet hair, I slipped my phone in my pocket. I walked downstairs and into the kitchen, Annie was feeding McKenna.

"Annie, where's mom?" I asked.

"Work," she said. "But your mother gave me the day off because I have a doctors appointment."

"What?" I asked. "Who's gonna watch her?"

"I can't, I'm sorry," she said.

"I have a project at school," I said.

"You gotta take her with you," she said.

"Oh my god," I said. "Dang it." I picked her up and wiped her face. I walked upstairs and to her nursery. "Ok babydoll, you're going to school with daddy." I sat her down and I grabbed some clothes. I got her dressed and I brushed her hair. I picked her up and I grabbed her bag. I walked downstairs and grabbed my book bag, I walked out and I put her in her car seat.

"Dada," she said.

"Hey baby," I said and kissed her head, I walked around and got in. I drove to school and I was seriously freaking out, I'll tell them she's my sister. Perfect, that works.

I parked and I got out, I put her bag in mine. I got McKenna out and I closed the door.

"You ready McKenna?" I asked her, she smiled showing her bottom two teeth, I smiled and I walked in. All eyes on me, I walked to the guys and they looked at me and then McKenna.

"Um Parker," Kingston said.

"What?" I asked.

"Why do you have a baby?" He asked.

"This is my little sister," I said. "Mom didn't have a babysitter." She squealed and clapped her hands.

"Shh," I said and she looked at Kingston, she looked at him weird.

"Is she not use to black guys?" He asked.

"Nope," I said and the bell rang. I walked to class and sat down, I sat her in my lap. I have her my phone and she chewed on it. "Ok Kenna, you gotta stay quiet, ok?" She looked up at me and looked back down, I looked and saw Alex. She looked at McKenna and smirked.

"Parker," the teacher called and I looked at her. "Why do you have a baby?"

"She's my um, little sister," I said. "We had nobody to watch her." I looked at Alex and she scoffed and looked down. I kissed McKenna's head and done my work.

The bell rang and I quickly packed up, I walked out with McKenna trying to catch up with Alex.

"Alex, wait up," I said. "Alex, please." She stopped and turned to me.

"What Parker?" She asked. "I can't believe you."

"Look, it's more complicated than it seems," I said.

"You're ashamed of that precious little girl," she said. "She loves you and you're ashamed to admit who she really is."

"Why do you even care what I do with her?" I asked, she scoffed and walked away. I looked at McKenna. "You still love me, right?" She smiled and laughed, I smiled and walked to my next class.

Alex's POV

How could he possibly be ashamed of that adorable little girl? I couldn't stand him at this moment, I couldn't even look at him.

I went to my class and sat down, I shook my leg up and down. I bit my thumb and let out a breath as I started my work.

Lunch came and I walked out back of the school, I went in my book bag and pulled out a already rolled blunt. I leaned against the wall and I took a hit, I blew it out and someone walked out. I stood up straight and hit it behind me.

I saw Parker walk out and I sighed, I put out the blunt and sprayed perfume.

"You don't sneak up on people like that," I said.

"You do drugs?" He asked.

"It's medicinal," I said. "Why am I even telling you that?" I picked up my book bag and I started to walk past him but he stopped me.

"I want you to talk to me Alex," he said.

"I'm not tutoring you anymore," I said. "I was happy because I thought you would show her off proudly, instead you showed me you couldn't damage that reputation."

"It's not like that," he said.

"It's not my business," I said and walked past him, I walked fast down the hall. He grabbed my wrist turning me around.

"I'm just trying to talk to you, can't you listen?" He asked.

"Hey!" Someone yelled and I smirked. "Let her go!" He let my wrist go and Kahn came up. "Is there a problem, Alex?"

"Yeah, keep him away from me," I said and I turned and walked away.

"Alex," Parker called, but I kept walking.

I was sitting on the counter eating my apple, Kahn walked in and I looked at him.

"So, you gonna tell me?" He asked.

"Tell you what?" I asked.

"Why you were behind the school with Parker?" He asked and I scoffed.

"I know you're not accusing me of messing around," I said.

"You can't start getting mixed up now, Alex," he said.

"I tutored Parker, ok?" I asked. "That's it. You can't actually believe I'd get mixed up with a boy like Parker."

"You have secrets, Alex," he said. "What happened those years, all those-"

"Shut up," I said.

"What they did-"

"Shut up!" I screamed and covered my ears. "Don't make me remember." He walked to me and took my hands away.

"Calm down, I'm sorry," he said.

"What's with the screaming?" Shawn asked. "What happened?"

"Nothing," I said and I jumped down, I walked upstairs to my room. I sat on my bed and started my homework. My phone started ringing and Parker's name came up, I rolled my eyes. He kept calling and picked it up. "What?"

"Alex, don't hang up," he said quickly.

"Talk quick," I said.

"McKenna won't stop crying, I don't know what to do," he said. "My mom isn't here, please help."

"Fine, I'm coming," I said and hung up, I opened my window and I climbed down. I landed and I walked around, I got in my car and I drove away.

I got to Parker's and I walked inside, I heard McKenna squalling and I pulled my jacket off. I walked to the kitchen, Parker was trying calm her down and he looked at me. He let out a breath of relief, I walked and took her from him.

"Hey baby," I cooed and rubbed her back. "Sh, everything's gonna be ok baby girl." She calmed down and laid on my shoulder, she shut her eyes and fell asleep. I looked at Parker.

"Thank you so much," he whispered.

"Some babies need a woman's touch," I said and looked at sleeping McKenna. "Some kids, just don't get it."

I felt something hitting my face and I groaned, I saw McKenna and I shot up. Parker walked out and picked her up.

"McKenna no," he said.

"Did I fall asleep?" I asked.

"Yeah, you rocked McKenna to sleep while I ordered a pizza," he said and I stood up. "You can join us."

"I gotta go home to my brothers and sister," I said. "They gotta eat."

"Ok so, I'll see you at school?" He asked and I looked at him.

"I was being nice, Parker," I said. "This doesn't mean we're friends." I walked to the door and opened it, I heard McKenna laughing.

"Dada," she squealed and he laughed, I walked out and shut the door. I went to my car and got in, I sped off.

"You'll never be anything, you'll end up just like me you little bitch!"

I clenched my jaw and gripped the steering, I got home and walked in. Everyone looked at me. I forgot I snuck out.

"Where the hell have you been, Alexandra?" Shawn yelled and I swallowed.

"Jake, take the twins upstairs and get them ready for bed," Kahn said, he listened and I kept my eyes on Shawn's furious green ones.

"Shawn, it's not that serious," I said.

"Not that serious? You disappeared, Alex!" He yelled.

"Stop yelling at me!" I yelled back at him.

"Where were you?" He demanded. "What're you gonna start disappearing too? Going on shit." I slapped him with every bit of anger I had.

"Don't you ever compare me to her," I hissed. "Ever Shawn." He looked down at me and I put my hands over my mouth. "I'm so sorry."

"Get out of my face and just go to bed," he said.

"Shawn-"

"Now," he said more stern. I walked past him and I looked at Kahn but he was looking down, I walked upstairs and to my room. I slid down my door and I wiped the stray tears, I got up and stripped from my clothes.

I put on my pajamas and I crawled in my bed, I laid down and I slowly fell asleep.
