Please, I need you at my party baby" Erica persisted for the tenth time and I sighed and rubbed my forehead.

Alright, I'll come" I said defeatedly and she squealed

Thanks baby" she said and tried to kiss me on the lips but I moved away from her and she frowned.

Yeah, I didn't want to touch her anymore. I have a feeling that she cheats on me but I guess she can't tho.

Jola stared at Tolani as she moved away from him. Jola started having eyes for Tolani when Erica played him. It was as if Erica's betrayal opened his eyes to see her beauty. Only thing is that Tolani is so closed off. He had caught her crying in an empty classroom and when he asked her what the matter was, she said she found her assignment difficult. Jola knew that was a lie because she's one of the most brilliant students in the whole of the school. Jola had blackmailed her in to come to his house to do the assignment or he'll upload her crying picture and she had quickly succumbed.

What is is, Jola?" Tolani asked in a shaky voice. It was.obvious that she was scared.

We're here for assignment, aren't we?" Jola smirked. Tolani dared to raise her head to look at him she almost gasped at how breathtaking he looked with his signature smirk.

Yeah." Tolani answered in a low voice.
Jola just looked at her.
Was she that scared of him?
Did he look like a rapist?
Did he look like an assasin?
were all the questions that ran through Jola's head.

Come then" Jola said and made way to his room.
Tolani's heart started to pound in her chest. She was so scared.
What if he also tried to rape her? No no no no, but Jola is a good person, he's a good person.
Tolani tried to calm her already frantic heart as she stepped into Jola's room.
Jola shut the door behind her and she jumped.
Jola reached out to touch but she flinch. Jola's heart clenched and rage started to run through his veins as he clenched his fist but he tried to calm himself down.

I don't bite Tolani, I really don't" Jola said as calm as he could.

I just can't............ I can't..........." A sob broke from Tolani. Jola reached to touch her again and she flinched again.
All the anger Jola has been trying to keep let loose.

Why won't you talk to me?! Why won't you let me hold you?! Why won't you let me comfort you?! Why?!" Jola yelled and Tolani jumped away from him in fear and hitting her head on the wall in process.
Jola quickly rushed to her but she pushed him away and he was hurt but he masked it.

I'm really sorry Tolani, I didn't mean to" Jola said regretfully as he ran his hand through his hair.
Tolani saw the sincerity in his eyes and her heart melted. She really like liked him, for a long time even. Her heart broke when she liked Erica then. She liked it now that his attention is on her but she had to push him away. She didn't want to drag him into her mess of a life.
She sighed.

Life is not all luxury for people like us, Jola. I may wear designer clothes and use latest things but I lack something very important:PEACE. I know you do care for me but please stay away from me and I'm telling you this cause I really like you. I don't want to drag you into my messed up life. Thank you for ever caring about me Jola." Tolani said and she quietly exited Jola's room.
Jola stared at her retreating figure and sighed.
I won't stay away from you!!
I would be in that messed up life with you!!
