4 - Case closed
"I love you." He whispered, then he kissed me passionately, in front of his friend and the crew.
My eyes widened in surprise, but I quickly closed them.
What on Earth is wrong with this man!
꧁•⊹٭🩷٭⊹•꧂
I did not talk to my husband for the rest of the evening after his little stunt during our photoshoot at the office.
I simply refused to say anything to him.
Was I mad at him?
Yes. Yes, I was.
Did he know this?
Also, yes.
But he took pleasure in pissing me off further, by kissing my neck in the car on the way home!
I didn't say a word to him from the minute his lips had left mine, hoping he'd see the seriousness of his actions.
He can't kiss me so openly in front of the staff! And everyone else!
Even if his best friend and trusted crew members were the only ones there! There were cameras in the room!
And I don't care if they were switched off!
We needed to be rational and taking risks like this wasn't going to find us the killer anytime sooner.
Not when we already have a lock on the mastermind behind the murder.
It's only a matter of days before we get the suspect in the office to crack up with a bit of added pressure.
On the contrary, however, Yoongi continued trying to romance me, saying that he was trying to get a head start on those babies he wanted.
I rolled my eyes at my husband's ridiculous behaviour. He was forgetting his duty as the son of the Min family.
We needed to avenge Mr. Min Joon before we got on in our married life.
I mean Yoongi wanted an army of children. About six or seven,.if I recall correctly.
But that had to wait.
As a daughter-in-law, I had a duty to fulfil. The main reason we got married was to save his company from hostile take overs and mergers based on him marrying someone else.
And we had to expose the murderer.
We now had all the evidence collated and kept. And Yoongi and I have handed it over to inspector Kim Taehyung for further investigation. My husband had insisted on him handling the case, for obvious reasons.
No surprises here, Taehyung was also another close friend of my husband's.
Yoongi had six really close friends whom he trusted with his life. They were at our wedding. But I didn't see their faces clearly as they were wearing cloth masks - something I'm sure the seven of them had agreed on.
A week after we'd submitted the evidence for investigation, Taehyung had given us a call.
A personal call.
He'd decided to visit us at the office, catching us completely off-guard.
So this was 'Element of surprise.' He hinted to us in his brief text.
"Yoongi hyung, Ji-eun hyung-su." He nodded at my husband, then at me. "Hyung and I have come to arrest the perpetrator." He'd dramatically explained..
The 'hyung' he referred to was his partner who was busy downstairs.
Whispers travelled along the corridors and staff members began to cry from shock or fright. No one was allowed to leave the office.
Not even Yoongi and I.
The building was on lockdown.
No one was allowed to leave until Taehyung found what he was looking for.
Taehyung gradually paced the hallways and corridors of the office block.
He perused each office, beginning with ours on the fifth floor.
After about three hours of his obsessive perusal, he'd reported back to our office on the seventh floor, where my husband and I sat together, holding hands, thinking silently.
"Victory is mine." He grinned at us darkly.
"Who was it?" My husband asked, fully aware that media spokespeople and paparazzi had surrounded the building. They had also flown drones around the upper parts of the building, hoping to gather even the slightest hint that the case was solved.
"Oh, hyung! You're so naive at times." Taehyung stated dramatically.
Yoongi looked at him confused.
But I was ready to punch him, how dare he drag this on.
And then I realized.
"Soo-ah..." I whispered. My husband looked at me, obviously aware that this was all a dramatic stunt.
We were purposely being dramatic, lest the media tapped out lines and bugged our office.
"No!" He exclaimed out loud.
"Yes!" Taehyung grinned at us.

Namjoon, Hosoek, Jungkook and Jimin were in the boardroom. Taehyung had made sure the people that were gradually eliminated from the case, except for my husband and I, were to remain in the temporary safehouse, which was the boardroom - as it had the necessary amenities for those kept there.
Investing officer, Kim Seokjin, Taehyung's colleague, watched over them.
Moments later, Soo-ah could be seen being escorted away from our building by two muscular policemen. She looked disheveled and had mascara running down her cheeks.
She'd been crying.
I knew she'd done it.
I knew the minute Yoongi and I had entered her cubicle after hours in the day we returned to the office.
We'd done a thorough search of all staff office cubicles - searching for any sign of a breach in contract, any sign of disloyalty, as directed by officers Seokjin and Taehyung.
And then I saw it. I had previously mistaken it as a silly K-pop badge in error. But when Yoongi had pointed it out to me, the meaning behind the crest...
It all made sense.
Why she watched my husband's Instagram account so closely. Why she never paid any attention to the meetings our CEO and our previous boss had held.
She was disappointed by the boss's choices for the previous round of staff promotions. So, when the mafia boss, Taeyang, had approached her with an opportunity to poison my father-in-law, she had accepted it with opened arms.
Soo-ah had been assigned the task of bringing Mr. Min his morning tea or coffee as he's seen her as his late daughter - Yoongi's younger sister, since she shared a name with her.
But growing tired of an old man's pain, Soo-ah attempted the worst. She poisoned Mr. Min, slowly, everyday day.
Yoongi was extremely sad.
It took us at least a month to mourn his father properly, after the case was finally closed. We also made sure that we concluded all the last rites correctly, as per tradition, conducting the final rites for Mr. Min's proper send off.

Later
A month after all the drama at the office, Yoongi and I had finally dropped the last of the restrictions of our marriage.
We were celebrating our hundred days as a married couple and decided to have a small, intimate dinner.
"I think it's time we take this marriage more seriously." He whispered to me as I prepared dinner that night.
He wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed my neck.
Since it was our 100 days of marriage, and we were celebrating with a special meal, I decided to make all of his favourites as we celebrated us as a couple.
And our victory.
He'd insisted on making something, so I let him make the starters, something that I could have easily bought.
But I let him have his way, for once.
It was just the two of us.
Then, he insisted on making the main course, so I let him do that too. But while I was busy whipping up some fresh cream for the dessert, he seized his chance at seduction.
"Ya! Yoongi! Stop it." I giggled. He was tickling me. "Yoongi! Look at this! The cream was over whipped because of you and your mischief." I scooped a small bit with my finger and rubbed it on his cheek.
"Look! You've distracted me and the cream was over whipped! I've made butter instead!" I exclaimed and rushed to the fridge to get another tub of fresh cream. He chased after me and cut in front of me, blocking my access to the fridge, chuckling deeply all the while.
"Clean this off, now." He ordered with his sexy voice.
"Nope." I grinned mischievously and ran off to our room to hide, attempting to close the door behind me.
But he was faster.
He caught me and pulled towards him. We both fell on the bed, me on top of him. He grinned broadly at me, looking victorious.
Looking into my eyes intensely, he said:
"I love you Ji-eunna. Can we please have all those babies you promised me when I proposed to you?" He chuckled knowing full well he insisted on it on his own.
"Ya. I never said that. I said I'd marry you. And that I love you too." I grinned at him, then licked the over-whipped cream off his cheek.
"Minx." He growled and rolled me over so that he was pinning me to the bed.
He kissed me, taking his time to savour our alone time.
We stayed up in our bedroom until dawn...
(While the dessert was never made that night.)

The end!
A/n:
I hope you enjoyed this short story.
It sort of developed on its own from the initial idea I had.
I wanted to write something about Suga, something cute and sweet.
The other Min Yoongi fanfiction I'm working on (Falling for You) is still in progress, but I have about seven chapters already published. So, if you're having a book hangover you can check it out.
It's about the same two characters - Lee Ji-eun and Min Yoongi and it's available on Wattpad!
