----- Hannah's P.O.V -----

I have just heard the whole of the conversation between Oli and my brother. I understand where my brother is coming from, of course I do. He has always been the protective type of brother and because of the fact that he never got to see me as much as he wanted that protective trait has increased, also as my father is no longer alive there isn't really anyone to act as the man of the house I guess in my family and Hayden being Hayden has taken up that role as I am the younger one and he feels like he needs to be there for me.

What has surprised me the most is that Oli wants to marry me. Oli actually wants to marry me. I can't even explain how happy that makes me; there has been this unspoken agreement that we would stay together for a long time but neither of us really brought up marriage or the idea of having a family. I like the prospect of marriage, I think it is nice to know that you are going to be with one person for the rest of your life and that both of you have promised to be with that person and stay faithful.

I have no idea what to do now though, do I talk to Oli, do I talk to my brother or do I just keep this to myself. I know I shouldn't have heard that conversation but at the same time my brother shouldn't have said what he did. I do understand where he is coming from but he should know by now how much I love Oli and how much Oli loves me, I always thought it was pretty obvious how much we care for each other based on how we are around each other. It is just frustrating right now because I don't know who to talk to or even if I should talk to anyone, I could just keep it to myself and let my brother decide on his own or something like that but I don't really like that idea.

Oli walks out of Hayden's office and I quickly make it look like I have just been walking down the hall. He sees me and smiles at me "Hey Gorgeous" he says hugging me "Hi, have you seen Hayden? I can't find him" I say and he chuckles "Yeah, I have just been talking to him. He's in his office" he says and I nod. Seems like he hasn't realised or something "Thank you. I just want to talk to him about how Campbell Publishings is going and things like that" I say and Oli kisses me sweetly "Okay Gorgeous. I will talk to you later then" he says and I nod "I love you" I say and he smiles "I love you too" he says before walking off somewhere.

I knock on Hayden's door "Come in" he says and I open the door "Hey Sis" he says looking up from his laptop "Hey Den" I say sitting on the edge of his desk on his side "You alright?" he asks and I nod "I'm fine. I just wanted to talk to you about some thing" I say and he nods "Have at it" he says and I smile "I may or may not have overheard your conversation with Oli" I say and his mouth drops "Well you weren't supposed to hear that" he says and I put my hand up "Shush, until I have said everything I want to say" I say and he nods "Okay" he says.

I take a deep breath before starting "I understand where you are coming from Hayden. You want to protect me because you couldn't when we were younger. I know I didn't tell you about Oli until you met him but I had no idea how to tell you, it isn't something I can just randomly say and Oli had no idea about you either" I say and he nods, keeping quiet "For years my best friends believed you died as a child, that was not easy for me to put up with and I missed you so much. After Mum died I didn't know what to do anymore, I had no clue who to turn to. The White's were amazing, even though I only baby sat for them they treated me like part of their family and that is what I needed Hayden. They acted like my family because I felt like I had none" I say and Hayden looks like he is about to cry.

He takes my hand in his as I continue talking "Oli was the guy that actually helped me more than anyone. He was there when I got the call about Dad, he was the one that got me to move back home, he was the one that convinced me to actually get back into our family business" I say smiling at the thought of Oli "I couldn't imagine myself with anyone else Hayden. He is amazing, he is way too good for me and here he is asking you if he can marry me. That takes guts Den, I am not telling you to change your mind but I am just telling you that I love him so much and I do want to be with him" I say.

Hayden stands up and pulls me into a hug "I love you Sis, I can't believe you thought that you had no family after Mum. I have always been here for you and I will continue to be here for you" he says and I smile "I know you will but right now, my boyfriend is downtrodden because you just said he can't marry me" I say and he smiles sheepishly "I will think about it. Alright?" he says and I nod "Don't forget. You want me to be happy, he makes me happy" I say and he chuckles "I know" he says hugging me again before I leave the room.

I think talking to Hayden was the best option.
