CHAPTER 29 PI:

~~The 7am Meeting~~

INTRO:

"Now we thank you all for being here so early," they say and I groan rubbing the spit up off of my tracksuit pants

"Anyways as we are coming to the end of the school year and the exam results are coming out, we need you guys to make a decision" Coach Miles starts

"You can either keep your children and adopt them, once receiving your diploma or they could go back to the orphanage in a hope of getting them adopted" Coach East replies and I look at Lola, I'm conflicted.

"Continuing you have the option, the forms will need to be submitted by next Wednesday, with the ceremony on Saturday, the forms will be hand-delivered to your houses."

4 weeks later...

"What did they say Avery?" my mum asks me when I walk out of the hospital room, I frown at her, acting sad, looking at Lola.

"I can walk again!!" I then say jumping up and my mum squeals, I run over to them.

"Lola guess what baby," I say hugging her taking her from my mum "mummy can walk again," I say dancing around in the waiting room, but I stop when I feel eyes on me. I blush bright red and look at my mum who shakes her head.

"Let's go" I say to her and I grab Lola's baby bag, we walk to the car and I buzzing with excitement, I have finally been cleared to walk as normal, which means that Grayson won't have to do everything with me, and I don't need either Billie or my mum to bathe me as I do for my daughters.

"What's happening now?" mum asks me

"They said that I need to keep it easy no running but I am fine to do walks to the park"

"I'm sure that Billie will be happy," she says, every time Billie takes her kids to the park she takes mine.

"I know, but I am happy now, maybe Grayson will leave me alone now," I say

"Avery, he means well, and he's sorry"

"I know he is, between Billie, Blair and you, I am going crazy- why can't you all be like Jake?" I ask I do not know why everyone is being so crazy about me forgiving him, I just need time

"Because not everyone is like Jacob, and very overprotective- they can forgive"

"Mum I am not going to hear it anymore I will forgive him when I am ready," I say snapping at her whilst I clip Lola into her car seat.

"Are you going to forgive him?" she asks

"You sound like Billie and maybe one day- I'm not ready yet," I say and she nods

"Anyway's your results come in from your exams"

"I know I'm nervous"

"You're a smart girl with a hint of lazy"

"I know, but can a smart kind of lazy girl, who looks after 3 kids ace her exams"

"Yes, she can" she replies.

When we reach the neighborhood housing the baby project, I look back and notice that Lola is sleeping, I groan she is going to be cranky for another day. I get mum to drop Lola and I off at home so I can put her in bed whilst she heads to a fast food place to grab our lunch.

I rock Lola to sleep and walk up the stairs to her bedroom, I lay her down placing her teddy next to her pulling the blanket up to her chest. I place the sound machine and humidifier on before shutting her door taking the baby monitor downstairs.

I walk down the stairs slowly, taking a step one- by -one I still need to be cautious. I make it halfway down the stairs and jump up in fright clothing the rail at the sight of Grayson with a sandwich stuffed in his mouth.

"Oh sorry Avie," he says steadying me, I take a deep breathe

"What are you doing home?" I reply to him and he holds up his sandwich

"Since when are you home for lunch?" I ask

"They let me take my lunch break early, and I decide to come home- what did they say"

"That I am good to go" I reply

"Fantastic," he says and goes in for a hug, which I awkwardly hug back, but we get interrupted because my mum knocks on the door.

"Anyway, I have to get back" Grayson replies and I smile watching him walk away before my mum knocks again and I open the door, plastering a fake smile

...

"Why was the meeting so early" I moan bouncing a squirming Lola, she's tired and Grayson is taking forever to warm her bottle up.

"Because everyone else has school at this time" Billie replies

"Ugh, Ellie has a cold and was up all night last night" Ally replies blowing on her double shot espresso, it's 7 am and we are waiting for the school to open, the school leadership and teacher committee called a meeting, it's the end of year meeting.

"I'm going to die" Jake replies whilst hugging Ally from behind, whose holding a sleeping Ellie

"Where the hell is Grayson" I reply Lola keeps crying and I am getting stares from all of the other students

"Here, sorry" he replies and hands me the bottle

"Why are they taking forever" I sulk and Micahel walks back over with Jackson having just taken him to the potty.

"I don't know, but I'm starting to get pissed off because I'm cold"

"You're the one wearing a tube top" I reply back

"I know but you said I look hot in them," she says

"You do, but it's freaking cold outside" I reply but we can't continue because the door's open. I smile in glory, before grimacing looking at my appearance, apparently what I wore last night doesn't look as good on my today,

Yes I did forget about this meeting today, so the white t-shirt with a puree satin will have to do, I also haven't brushed my hair well enough, so it's all tangled and sticking up in every direction possible.

"Gray, can you please re-tie my hair?" I say and he smiles before tying my hair back u for me, having to do the girl's hair of the last 3 weeks has improved her skills.

We file in a straight line after all of the other students with their kid taken a setback on the bleachers.

"Deja vu" Billie says to me, sitting on the gym bleachers

"Let's just get this started Grayson and I were up late last night talking"

"Ooh talking about what?" she asks

"Shush," I say and coach Dylan as long with the principal and her gym teacher approach the front of the room

"Settle everyone," they say and we all stop and look to the front.

"Now we thank you all for being here so early," they say and I groan rubbing the spit up off of my tracksuit pants

"If you choose to stay and adopt the kids, the houses will be provided for you, with the first 6 months rent and bills free, to let all of have a rest for a while, if you don't the house will only be free for a month to get rid of all of the things you need out of the house"

"You all have the choice and we are not judging you whatsoever- the exam results will also be out by tonight as well," they say and my stomach drops, I don't know if I am ready to get my exam results and decide if I want these kids.
