CHAPTER 20:

~~Supplies~~

INTRO:

I buckle my seat belt and out of the corner of my eyes,

I see a McDonalds,

I have an inkling and I know that Jake has seen it too,

I turn to Jake and he looks to me and we smile and yell at the same time

"Chips and Sundaes"

the most ultimate snack that we would have after we finish at the karaoke place

"Yess" I squeal and we pull into the drive-thru

"We haven't had this I forever," he says

"I know, I missed it," I say to Jakes

"Me too," he says.

AVES WE'RE HERE Jakes says shaking me, my eyes fly open and they focus on his face, I must have fallen asleep in the car on the way to the shop

"Okay," I say and walk tousling my hair, before I get out of the car walking beside Jake into the store, walking directly to the blow-up mattresses.

We pick up 1 king-sized blow up mattress and 1 single, Lola, Ava and I in the king sized and Saskia in the single, and there should be enough room in the living room and in Jackson's room.

"Is Saskia going to be okay to sleep on her own?" Jake asks as we head over to the lamp section, and I pick out a salt lamp, I have them all over the house, when we have enough saved money, and I can't sleep without one, as well as the fact I can't bear going to back to the house- just yet.

"Yeah she will be fine," I say

"Alright, then we head to target okay, Billie messaged me she thinks that she will need more sheets for the beds and food for the morning" he informs me

"Why didn't she messaged me?" I ask and grab out my phone

"She did," he says and I turn on my phone and I have 1 missed call and 3 messaged from Billie, and 1 from Ally

"Oh," I say and he laughs and we walk up to the counter and I grab out my wallet, I pray to God I have enough money to cover this

"No, put that away," Jake says pushing my hand away

"It's fine Jake," I say and he looks to me

"Avery please, let me do this," he says

"Jacob" I warn "Fine," I say and he grins big, handing the cashier his credit card, God my friends are amazing.

We then move the 3 boxes back to the car before heading back in, I buckle my seat belt and out of the corner of my eyes, I see a McDonalds, I have an inkling and I know that Jake has seen it too, I turn to Jake and he looks to me and we smile and yell at the same time

"Chips and Sundaes" the most ultimate snack that we would have after we finish at the karaoke place

"Yess" I squeal and we pull into the drive-thru

"We haven't had this I forever," he says

"I know, I missed it," I say to Jakes

"Me too," he says and yawns.

"Did you want me to drive?" I ask its 1:30 am and we are exhausted from the day

"No no, I'm fine" he says "Did you want a coffee?" he asks and I look at him with a muffled expression, which he catches and we have to move up in the line for the drive-thru who knew it would be this busy on Saturday night at 1 o'clock in the morning.

"Hot chocolate" he then says and I smile and we pull up to the speaker

"Hi, what can I get for you this joyous night," the lady on the other side of the speaker says, I shudder and Jakes laughs

"Who is this happy at night time," Jake says

"Hey, could I get 2 medium chocolate sundaes, 2 medium chips, 1 large coffee, 1 sugar and milk, and 1 hot chocolate extra chocolate topping," he says and I smile at him, he knows my order perfectly right

"Thanks, Jake," I say kissing his cheek handing him my card

"My treat, you paid last time" I then say and she takes the card

"When was the last time," he says

"Way too long ago" I reply and we pull up to the counter and he grabs the drinks

We then sit in the parking lot dripping for the next 20 minutes dipping our hot chips in the chocolate sundaes, when we are done I put the empty sundae containers in the bag, and Jake puts the car into drive and speeds off to the nearest target.

We arrive in no time and I walk up to the entrance waiting for Jake, who locks the car and falls over a rock on the floor, I burst out laughing and I hear him groan before getting up walking over to me

"It's not funny," he says rubbing his elbow

"Yes it is," I say and he fake glares at me

"Aves" he whines

"Stop being a baby, I have 3 of those, I don't need any more" I reply and grab a trolley pushing it to where we need to be

I spend 15 minutes on the sheet size, whilst Jake looks for some good douna's, it feels like we are spending so much money, I literally feel like I'm moving in with Billie, and to be honest I think that I will utilize the offers that both of my best friends have given me, and stay with them for a while.

As soon as we have the right sheets and doonas picked out, we head over to the baby aisle, whilst I pick out some more clothes for all 3 of the girls Jake looks for some outfits for his kids, he has a 5-year-old Noah 2 almost 3-year-old Amelia and an 11-month-old Ellie, and let me tell you these kids have style.

We meet at the end of the aisle, I have some pajamas and some cute outfits that are cheap and the girls are going to love, and Jake has some jumpers and bottoms for Noah and Ellie

"Ellie is growing so fast, she is getting so fat," he says and we push the cart around to the baby section

"But she's so cute," I say

"Who knew kids were so expensive as well, Noah is constantly getting holes in his pants," he says

"We'll no matter how hard I try Ava always manages to spill her food on her and it always stains," I say and he smirks

"That's not funny"

"We sound like parents," Jakes says

"That's because we are" I reply and I grab a few baby swaddles, ad some onesies for Lola

Finally we reach the last stop, the grocery store, we quickly duck in and grab all the fresh prince that we will need for a big family breakfast in the morning, I drag Jake through all of the junk isles filling the trolley full of snacks and shit food, I also grab some diapers and 2 tins of formula before we check out and make the 30 minute journey back home.

When we walk back inside, and both Ally and Billie are back and they are sitting at the table changed into sweats and drinking tea

"Hey guys," I say walking in dropping the bags on the floor

"Hi," they say

"I'm fine now" I reply, and I touch my face, which is still swollen from all of the crying I had done earlier

"That's good" Billie replies

"Yep, I'll be fine, as long as I have you guys" I reply and Ally hugs me

"When you are finished with staying with Billie, you can come and stay with us," Ally says and Jake stands behind her

"I will" I reply and we start digging in the bag uploading everything

This is going to be one very very long night unpacking and setting everything in this house and its already 2:30 am.
