CHAPTER 19:

~~Heartbreak~~

INTRO:

"Avery" Billie whispers softly touching my hair,

"Aves?" Ally asks

"You need to talk to us" Billie tries again,

"Aves we can't help you unless you tell us what is wrong,"

"Avery," he says this time more firm

"Um," I say and my voice breaks

"You can do this" Ally says grabbing my hand squeezing it

Previously:

I feel my heart shattered into a million pieces.

He's cheating on me, with someone we don't even know

I don't know what to so

So I ran back over to Billie, with tears streaming down my face, she takes one look at me before dropping the microphone, grabbing me tightly, and before I know it Jake is hugging the both of us,

Without saying a single word, they put me into the car, and before I know it I'm sitting in Billies living room, with a glass of ice cold water in my hand, the condensation dripping all over my hands, but I can't think or speak, I'm numb.

Present Time:

"Avery" Billie whispers softly touching my hair, but I'm still looking straight ahead of me, my eyes trained on the crayon mark on the wall, I feel the couch dip beside me and its Ally, I can smell her perfume, its sweet with a hint of rose.

"Aves?" Ally asks

"You need to talk to us" Billie tries again,

I don't say anything and Jake then moves from leaning on the wall to crouch down right in front of me, he lifts my chin so I'm looking at him dead in the eyes, and I know I look like a mess, I must have mascara running down my bloodshot eyes, my hair is all ruffled and I'm shivering.

"Aves we can't help you unless you tell us what is wrong," he says and I frown my heart aching again

"Avery," he says this time more firm

"Um," I say and my voice breaks

"You can do this" Ally says grabbing my hand squeezing it

"I can't" I say my head falling tears dripping into my lap, barely missing the glass of water, I'm clutching in my hands,

I notice that I am gripping the glass so tight that my knuckles are turning white, so I release the cup and put it on the floor beside me, taking a deep breath

"I walked around the corner from finishing the song, with Billie," I say turning my head to her and she nods, they all do at the same time, a bit weird actually.

"Yeah we all saw you, continue," Jake says placing his hands on my leg, comforting me

"And I did a few things and I rounded the corner," I say bursting into tears "and Grayson was there making out with some girl" and that Billie gasps hugging me and Ally holds my hand tighter, I see Jake stand up putting his hands behind his head, walking in a circle

"He had his hands up her-" I continue tears streaming down my face

"Stop Avery" Jake says and I can hear the anger in my voice

"What am I going to do," I say crying and Billie smile her eyes filled with tears

"You are strong," Ally says and I cry more

"Its okay Aves" Billie says

"Can I stay here?" I ask Billie and she nods

"You can stay with us as well" Ally replies and Jake nods, I can see the look on his face, he walks over to the counter and grabs the cars heading for the door, I stand up,

"Where are you going?" I say and he turns back

"To kill that son of a bitch" he replies

"No, Jakes, please don't" I plead

"Why Avery, look at you, he's broken you," he says

"Please Jake," I say and he softens

"Okay," he says and comes over to hug me tightly.

I walk back over to the couch, I sit back down and shiver slightly, I'm freezing. Ally notices this and get the blanket from the table and drapes it onto my shoulders

"Whatever you want to do, we will support you okay," Billie says and I nod, Jake sitting back down typing furiously on his phone, and there's no point me even asking what he's doing, I already know the answer.

"Thanks, guys," I say and both of the girls smile at me warmly

"Whatever you need," Ally says

"I just need to get out of the house for a while" I reply

"Alright I'll head back over there now, I left Michael in charge, I'll get a bag for you and the girls," Billie asks

"Yes please, could you also remember to get Ava's baby, she won't sleep without it"

"I'll go with her, I've only had one drink- I can drive and I can tell Louis and get him to talk to Grayson" Ally says,

As you can see we have grown quite close in the last month or so, the pain that I had almost forgotten back suddenly arises and I clear my throat

"Okay" I reply and they both get up putting their jackets on, walking out of the house

"Which leaves me and you," Jake says

"Yep" I reply and he sits down next to me

"So if you are going to stay with Billie, with the 3 girls you are going to need a blow-up mattress and things," he says

"That sounds good, but can I first help me out of this dress," I say and the blanket drapes off of my shoulders and me moving to my crinkle dress.

"First thing is first then," he says and he grabs the untouched glass of water from the floor dumping it in the sink, rinsing it before putting it on the drying rack, for a man he is very very tidy.

"Thanks Jake" I say taking the pair of Billie's sweat pants that he hands me, he then grabs his phone out whilst I sit at her mini vanity,

Turning the hair dryer on, drying my wet hair, I took a shower, and yes I got completely changed into Billies clothes, and she doesn't care I have been sharing a wardrobe with this chick for years.

When I'm finished I ruffle my hair adding some more volume before, I turn to Jake who has abandoned his phone and is now walking back into the room, in a clean [air of clothes, I look at him questioning

"Ally is very anal at having a spare set of clothes- for all of us," he says motioning to his new outfit

"Sure she does" I reply and lace up a pair of converse and I am 99.9% sure that those were mine that she stole

"Ready to go?" Jake asks me, swinging the keys around his index finger

"Yep" I say lifting up the small bag that Billie seemed to have grabbed when we left the party, and slinging it over my shoulder,

I followJake down the stairs, and into the car where he drives off to the nearest home place that is open at this time, which happens to be a half an hour away....
