CHAPTER 17:

~~Part Prep~~

INTRO:

"Hi mum," I say

"Hey dear, Grayson, oh Belinda how wonderful to see you," my mum says heading over to Billie hugging her,

Billie makes a face at the sound of her full name

"Are my darlings ready?" she asks

AWW AVERY I AM SO HAPPY FOR YOU Billie says over the phone

"Thanks, Billie" I reply but the three-way call goes silent when Jakes opens his mouth

"I hope you're not making a mistake" he talks back, but it's hushed

"What!?" Billie says

"Could you just be happy for me, please Jake?" I say pressing my phone against my shoulder, so I can re-tie Saskia's ponytail

I kept her home from daycare today since, I think she is coming down with a cold, sickness, doctors appointments, bills, everything was not included when the project started I was in for a big awakening when Ava got sick.

This morning Saskia had red cheeks and was really warm, so I kept her home so she can rest, I also didn't want to go into work this morning, I am so exhausted, Grayson had to leave early, and won't be back until later, so I'm with 2 out of the 3.

"Okay fine, fine, if he makes up happy, I am happy, and I am most importantly very happy for you," he says and I make a face and Saskia squeals at me

"That was too many happy's" I hear Billie say

"Happy, happy, happy" I recite and we hang up, I'm meeting Billie later on this afternoon because Billie and Michale have decided to throw a big 18th for Michael.

I honk the horn of the car, signally for Billie to emerge from her house and head in the car so we can get some lunch and plan Michael's birthday party, which I am slightly regretting this since it is going to be a lot of work and we are going to be spending so much money.

"Hey girl, my Sassy bug," Billie says plugging her seat belt in, turning on the seat warmer

"You know that's a luxury and wastes my money right," I say smiling

"Yep, but you love me" she says before she starts to chew my ear off for the rest of the car ride, even though I see or at least talk to Billie every single day at fault, she still seems to find new things to talk about.

Or get the newest gossip from the school, even though we are participating in the project, the participants are still hooking up and cheating on each other as per usual, just normal teenager things, happening in an advanced society.

"So what are we thinking Billie?" I ask as we finish ordering out lunch and Saskia is settled with her juice and my phone

"Uhh, well his birthday is 3 weeks from now and it's a Thursday, so I was thinking a party on Saturday" she starts and the both our start to jot down a few notes,

"Okay,"

The next 3 weeks are a blur in between finishing all of the assignments that we have been set- which we still are getting work sent through by teachers, that have due dates, we still have to read the textbooks, and complete it to be able to pass the year.

Also between looking after the girls and trying to squeeze in some Grayson and Avery time, which usually ends up as us making out on the couch watching a movie, I can barely remember the month, let alone the day or the week, so I completely forgot that we had a party to host

So on Wednesday when Billie calls, I almost fell out of my seat, holy shit, we are not prepared at all, the both of us forgot that we were running a party, which is pretty ridiculous since we both have reminders on our fridges.

Billie got a notification on her phone saying that the present that she has got for Michael had come in and have nothing else prepared or bought, so we all loaded in the car and head to the party store to get ready for the party, which we meet the Raydens there.

"Hey," I say puffing hugging Michael and Jackson, giving the pram steering wheel to Jamie

"No time for hi's, it's time to get cracking," Billie says and pulls my arm dragging me into the store

"What's first?" I ask Billie walking into the store and she scans all of the isles

"Micahel, Grayson order the balloons that you want, take the kids with you, then head to pick up whatever drinks that you want, alcoholic and non-alcoholic, but make sure there is a variety" she instructs and points outside the window where there are a bottle-o and a grocery shop across the road

"All of the kids?" Grayson says

"Yes, you will be fine" I reply

"Uh sure" Michael chokes outs pulling at the collar of his shirt

"Now you, go and pick out the decorations, you know which ones that I will like, and order a karaoke machine, put it under Rayden" she instructs and I head straight over to the decoration aisle, taking a glance to where the karaoke machines are held.

She meets me in the aisle after he's finished ordering whatever and we head over to the grocery stop to get all of the other necessities, all of the food that we are going to need, ie chips and snacks and then we need to get lots of solo cups, and find a couple of coolers, we then order a huge amount of ice, to keep all of the drinks cooled.

"This looks amazing" Billie squeals hugging me before heading over to kiss Michael, I smile and Grayson puts a hand on my shoulder spinning me around

"Hi" I smile

"Hello gorgeous," he says kissing my cheek before 2 of our 3 daughters run over to him,

We have just finished putting all of the finishing touches on our house for the party tonight, Billie and Micahel have been here since the moment they work up setting everything up, now we just have to get ready and wait for everybody to show up,

"Knock knock" I hear a voice say and it's my mum

"Hi mum," I say

"Hey dear, Grayson, oh Belinda how wonderful to see you," my mum says heading over to Billie hugging her, and Billie makes a face at the sound of her full name

"Are my darlings ready?" she asks

"Yes, they are," I say getting the 3 bags I have packed for the kids,

They aren't staying for the party since it is an 18th and we all know how rowdy they can get,  besides for the past 3 months or so, I haven't had a break from these kids, except when I'm working, but the moment my shift ends I immediately become mummy again.

"Alright, load them in the car," she says and Grayson helps me pick them away before saying goodbye to my babies.

"Bye bye" they wave and I kiss Lola's hand before walking back up the gate to the house Grayson falling right behind me

"Whos ready to party," I say dancing around

"I am," Billie says joining in and out of the corner of my eye I see Michael and Grayson laughing

"But first time to get ready" Jake says walking into the house, Ally trailing behind him

"You were always the one to walk in at the right moment," I say and head to the master bedroom so we get ready for this party.
