CHAPTER 11:
~~Family Day Out~
INTRO:
"Wow" he breaths and I smirk
"Like what you see," I say, imitating the same thing he has said to me on numerous occasions
"You look... nice Avery" he compliments, and I blush, he has never complimented me like before

WE WERE WASHING THE DISHES IN SILENCE, this is something that I find we do a lot, we hand wash the dishes together because it is cheaper too, running a washing machine, drying machine, tv's, lights, is very expensive and I have had to cut down shifts so that I am able to look after the girls since daycare is also very expensive, Grayson works pretty much every day so I am left with the girls most of the time, On Friday and Monday mornings I have a shift at the café down the road 'salt lamp' and the kids attend daycare, these are the only days that they go since it is the most affordable, my mum has volunteered to look after them on Wednesday so the both of us can work and on Friday Jake and his Wife take Lola, and Billie takes Saskia and Ava, and in return I am able to look after Jake's kids on Thursdays, whilst taking and picking up Jackson Billie's son up on Friday and Monday morning as well from the same daycare that the girls attend. I have been pretty much avoiding Grayson, it has been pretty awkward.
"So I was thinking, maybe we should have a family day out, maybe go to the movies or something," Grayson asks me while we are washing the dishes from lunch.
"Yeah, that seems fun" I reply placing the dry plates in the pile
"Are you being sarcastic?" he asks
"No, no, what are you talking back," I say, we haven't talked about our brief kiss almost a week ago, we have been going about our daily life as if nothing has happened.
"You sounded like you didn't want to" he replies
"No, of course not, a family day seems fun" I reply and a huge smile appears on his face
"Leave it all to me," he says running down the hall into the study, I look at the dishes and huff, he has only washed half of the dishes.
"Ugh" I reply looking at the pile "Sassy, do you want to help mummy?" why not start them off young, besides Saskia wants to help me do EVERYTHING.
...
We go about our normal daily routine the next day, the girls wake me up, we head downstairs and I turn on the TV whilst making myself a coffee, I hate coffee, but it gives me the energy I need. While I start to make breakfast, Grayson gets up, feeds the baby and gets himself ready, whilst I feed the kids, then we swap over, he finishes feeding them whilst I take a shower, although today I put a little more effort into my appearance actually taking time to do my makeup, I look through my part of the walk n closet and pick out something other than leggings or track-suit pants, I then change Lola into some clothes for the day before walking down the stairs where Grayson meets me.
"Wow" he breaths and I smirk
"Like what you see," I say, imitating the same thing he has said to me on numerous occasions
"You look... nice Avery" he compliments, and I blush, he has never complimented me like before
"Uh, thanks," I say gathering the older two walking them up to the stairs and into the bathroom to brush their teeth and get them ready.
"Are you ready to spend the day with daddy" I say to them, they start to jump up and down in excitement and I giggle, they are happy, we are cooped up in this house for too long, trips to Billie and Jakes house, sometimes to the park, do not always cut it.
"Alright family, who is ready to go," Grayson says as we are all strapped into the car
"Meeee" Saskia yells, Followed by Ava, who is at the stage where she copies anything and everything that you say.
"Yeah, yeah, meee"
"Good," Grayson says pulling out of the drive-way
"Where are we going to exactly?" I ask, realizing I don't know what we are actually doing
"That is for me to know and you to find out" he replies and I groan
"Not even a clue" I question
"Fine, think popcorn, then greasy fries," he says and I take a minute
"Wait are we going to the movies than Maccas" I reply and he nods so I do a happy dance in the car, I don't think I can stress enough, the love I have for fast food, too the point that I was eating it every day for lunch.
"Wow I have never seen a girl so excited for fast food," he says smirking at me '
"Well, I like to think that I am a special one" I reply
"Definitely" he replies, and I turn up the radio, singing along to the song playing, behind me Saskia singing the parts that she seems to have picked up, she is more like screaming this though, I'm surprised that Lola hasn't woken up, and yes we are taking an almost 3-month-old to the movies.
While Grayson gets the tickets I take the girls into the bathroom, when we are done, we meet him outside of the bathroom where he hands us the tickets, while he goes and gets some cushions for the girls to sit on, I go up to the counter to get sacks for this duration. I walk up to the desk and the cashier looks at me and does a double take.
"Hi," I say
"Hello, what can I get from you," he says finally snapping out of his trance, my cheeks flare and I tuck a strand of my dark brown hair behind my eyes, my bright blue eyes wandering to his face watching him type in my order.
"Is that all for today?" he asks
"Uh yes thanks" I reply and he gets to work constructing my order, he nods me the drinks and as he hands me the popcorn box, our hand's touch and he says
"You're really pretty"
"Oh, thanks," I say
"You're welcome" he replies before he clears his throat so I look back up at him
"Could I err have your number?"
"Uh, sure," I say embarrassed. I write my number down on a napkin and hand it over to him. I can't believe I gave him my number, of all people me, yeah Billie or Jake, but not baby Avery, who hasn't had I boyfriend.
"Here you go," I say
"Can I call you after I finish?" he asks
"Yes" I say unsure, of what I am getting myself into, but he can't reply because Saskia and Ava come running to me Grayson and the pram following behind, Grayson glaring at me, calling out my name the cashier looks shocked and I thank him once more before following them into the theater.
...
"What did you think Sassy?" I ask her walking out of the cinema,
"Fun, fun, fun" she screams running off, I chuckle and call her back, so we can cross the road
"Where next?" Ava asks and Grayson ruffles her hair,
"some lunch Ava"
"Yayyy" she squeals helping me buckle her car seat.
We pull into the McDonalds car park, before unbuckling everyone, walking into the fast food restaurant, our noses instantly hit with grease. I squeal running up to the counter, and Grayson laughs and tickles Lola's belly telling her that mummy is silly. Once we order our food, I find a booth for us to sit in, while Grayson and Ava wait in line for the food.
"Dinner is served," Grayson says masking his voice
"Lunch daddy" Saskia giggles and I smile, I love my little family.
"Who's ready to eat?" I ask unwrapping one of the happy meal burgers.
"Mumma, Mumma, play?" Ava then asks me pointing to the joint play-gum, I smile and nod, opening the door for her whilst balancing the babies. I shut the door and walk back to the table to give Grayson the baby so I can play with Ava, but I get stopped by an older lady, and her daughter who looks like my age.
"Are all of them yours?" she sneers
"Ugh yes," I say
"Really," The daughter asks and the mother shakes her head
"Is there a problem with that?" I ask
"You're way too young" she replies "why is it so hard to have an abortion"
"Well excuse you, no one asked for your opinion," I say
"Wow, you talk back, and you leave your kid alone in there" she replies motioning her head to Ava is who sliding down the slide, I instantly feel guilty, what would I do if something happened to her, what is she fell off.
"You don't know who I am," I say storming off walking to Grayson who watched the whole scene unfold, we quickly work to get all 3 of the girls out of the restaurant in the car, driving off home. I manage to hold it together in the journey home, even Ava cracks a tantrum having her session in the playground cut short.
"Sorry baby," I say
We walk inside and put all 3 girls down for a nap, when I walk back down the stairs Grayson is waiting for me him arms open, which I fall straight into and start sobbing.
"Who is she to say that my girls are always fed, happy, and fully provided for," I say tears streaming down my face
"I know, I know" he replies rubbing circles into my back
I don't know why but that really made me feel better, that women made me feel so upset, she had no right saying that to me, underage or all. I didn't know that I would have so much discrimination drawn to me for being a 'teen mum'.
I also had another problem.
I am fully and utterly crushing on Grayson Wesley Peters, and I practically told that guy at the movie canteen that I would go on a date with him.
