CHAPTER 10:

~~Good Day~

INTRO:

"Do you think everyone is having a good time?" I then as and he nods,

all of a sudden everyone goes quiet and when I turn around Billie is holding a lit cake with 18 candles,

I stare at her for a minute as she, shakes her way over to the table

"Aves come here" he whispers and I walk over a smile on my face

"One two three"

"Happy Birthday..."

SO YOU'RE MY HUSBAND NOW I say following Grayson through the back door into the backyard where a crowd is slowly starting to increase

"We can talk about this later," he says kissing me on the cheek, then kissing the babies forehead, before handing her to me heading off when his name is called

"Avery!"

I walk over to my sister Blair, she's 4 years older then me, we have twin brothers in between us, Beckett and Ashton, yep there are two Bs and two As- they deliberately did this.

"Blair bare," I say hugging her

"Avy wavy," she replies and I smile

"How are you?" I ask

"Good," she says, she recently got engaged with her boyfriend Matt, I couldn't be happier for the both of them

"How's Matt?"

"Good he should be here shortly"

"Did you want to hold?" I say gesturing to the baby

"Thought you would never ask," she says and I hand the baby over, coincidentally the moment I hand her over, the doorbell rings, the duration of the backyard to the front door, I pick up Ava who is walking around looking lost with her baby.

"Mummy," she says and I pick her up and she drops her baby

"Baby" she squeals pointing down

"You want your baby, "I say and she nods so I pick it up and she grabs a hold of it, I swear this kid is so maternal.

"Did you want to help me open the door"

"Yes please," she says nodding her head, so I open the door its Grayson's parents.

"Hello... you must be Avery" they greet

"Hi," I say and at that moment Saskia crashes into my legs squealing 'Mumma Mumma' with a drawing in her hand

"Yes Sass," I say looking down

"I drew something for you," she says and I take the picture whilst Grayson's mother Jane crouches down

"and who are you" Sass gets shy and clutches my leg

"What your name" I pry, she doesn't say anything

"This is Saskia and Ava, " I say pointing to the dozing two-year-old on my shoulder

"Well hello Saskia," she says "Where's my baby" she ads

"Grayson" I call and he emerges from the kitchen with a towel on his shoulder

"Hi mum, dad," he says hugging them, standing next to me

"I see you've met Avery my girl, and my kids" he replies and they nod-talking, walking in the house as I shut the door, taking Ava up to her room and taking Sass outside to be with the other kids before residing in the kitchen to help Gray, with one thing playing through my mind, he called me his girl.

"Your parents are lovely," I say

"Thanks, yours are nice to" he replies.

"Now we have a minute," I say

"Mmm" he replies

"Avery" Blair calls and I walk outside, and Lola is crying

"Oh my baby" I reply scooping her up rocking her which she instantly falls asleep, and Blair looks at me like what the hell, how did you do that

"It's a mothers touch," I say walking away.

"Foods ready" Grayson calls and everyone makes their way over to the connecting tables which are filled to the brim with food... and plastic plates, cutlery, napkins, etc.

I grab Saskia and ask her what she wants which she isn't very interested, I then fill Ava a plate with the exact same thing, last stop is the kitchen to make Lola bottle which I then proceed to watch the girls eat and feed her the bottle, after Grayson puts everything in the kitchen he walks over to me with a plate full of food

"Here you eat, I'll look after her," he says

"No it's okay" I reply

"Are you sure?" he asks

"Yeah, I can eat after" I reply and he heads off to get himself some food. After the baby finishes eating I burp her and rock her to sleep, before wiping the girl's mouths, with them running off, after that, I manage to eat my lunch with one hand. I walk over to Billie and Jake.

"You guys having fun," I say

"Yep," Billie replies,

"I feel like I haven't seen you in forever," Jakes says

"I know right, we should catch up" I reply, truthfully I haven't put much thought into this, running around after 3 kids tire you out

"Definitely" Billie chimes in,

"Incoming" Jake then says and I turn around

"Just, making sure you ate," Grayson asks me

"Yeah, I had some food," I say

"Do you think everyone is having a good time?" I then as and he nods, all of a sudden everyone goes quiet and when I turn around Billie is holding a lit cake with 18 candles, I stare at her for a minute as she, shakes her way over to the table

"Aves come here" he whispers and I walk over a smile on my face

"One two three"

"Happy Birthday..."

...

"and the last dish is done" I cheer throwing the tea towel onto the now clean bench, Grayson chuckles before placing the rest of the cups into the cabinet.

I sigh in relief and place the rest of the cleaning materials in the rightful places, humming to the song that we have playing in the background,

Surprisingly he starts to hum the song with me, and before I know it we are singing and he is spinning me around, when the song ends I giggle and he laughs smiling at me. Before I notice his hand dropoff of my face, and my smile fades

"Thank you for today," I say

"No need to thank me" he replies, I nod and stare at the ground, Grayson then turns around and looks at me

"Avery..." he starts

"Yes Grayson," I say my breath hitching in my throat when he takes a step closer to me, he leans down at me

"I have been waiting to do this," he says, before leaning down to kiss me, our lips touch and I kiss him back, he tastes like coffee and caramel cake. I can't believe Grayson Peters is starting to kiss me, but just our luck we get interrupted by the screams of one of our three children.

He smiles awkwardly at me before heading up the stairs to console her before she wakes up everyone else, I touch my lips, reminiscing the kiss that we had just shared.
