Durant sped past stopped and abandoned cars in the middle of the street as Marinette clung to his back for dear life. In the past couple of minutes, Marinette wasn't sure what she was thinking about. The plan that Gabriel Agreste had that he himself wasn't even sure if it was going to work. Chat Blanc stood above the Eifel tower, he made his announcement clear, the only person that should scale the tower was to be Marinette Dupain Cheng and no one else, and he had made it clear that anyone else that tried to come up would be going down a much quicker way than the elevator. The president didn't care, he marched himself up the stairs of the Eifel Tower as fast as he could. He was the distraction the bait for a much larger plan.
Durant stepped on the brakes and turned his motorcycle to the right to stop and park the vehicle. For once the street outside Marinette's house was lifeless. Even in the night, Marinette could hear the bands playing, the old men and women chattering and conversing as they puffed long skinny cigarettes.
"Whats that noise?" Durant asked Marinette heard the noise too. They looked down the street and Durant ushered for Marinette to follow him as he reached for where his police sidearm, he preferred to be old fashioned with his Manurhin, as they turned the corner Durant expected to see a looter, when he recognized the noise, and he lowered the pistol solemnly as he looked forward with a thousand yard stare.
"Durant, what's the matter?" Marinette asked as Tikki zipped our of her bag, she looked at Durant and her eyes perked up as she gasped and zipped towards the sound, Marinette yelled after her.
"Tikki where are you going?" Marinette yelled after her, she rounded the corner as Durant followed her and gasped, Durant did as well but continued forward. In the center of the street was a young man with black hair, vibrant green eyes and black ears protruding out of his messy but combed hair. He wore a long black tailcoat with a black necktie made of velvet. Before him stood a massive open, black and shining grand piano that he played with beautiful accuracy. He played with his eyes closed and his arms and fingers seemed to move with a mind of their own playing each note to Frédéric Chopin's "Raindrop" Prelude. He didn't pay attention to Marinette or Durant as they neared closer towards the piano. Chat Blanc stood at the Eifel Tower, The President stood on the edge of the stairs, preparing his will power to face his death, as the rain began to fall, the piano music came to an end, with every single person looking up towards the sky, except for Plagg. The lonely kwami left alone by his only friend playing Adrien's favorite piece on the piano.
