Epilogue - intro into next book in this series - The Treaty

Ryan left the house at noon for a meeting with new potential pack members at the diner. Angel had begged him to take Tony with him. She didn't know these new wolves. She didn't know if they would be dangerous and was scared for her mate. Ryan had told her that he would be fine, and he didn't want the new wolfs to feel threatened. He told her that it was best if he went on his own and would call her as soon as the meeting ended. She waited anxiously by the phone for his call.

Ryan had been contacted by a 'were' named Randy a few weeks earlier. Him and his sister had been living on their own for the past two years, and were interested in joining his pack. It is hard for wolves to live on their own since they are naturally pack animals, and these two were yearning to be part of a pack again.

Randy had explained to Ryan how their father had tried to sell his sister to another packs Alpha when she was only 16 years old. This was an old tradition to keep peace with neighboring packs that only a few packs still followed. Randy's sister Nikita was terrified at the thought of having a mate at such a young age, and begged her brother for help. When Randy couldn't convince his father to change his mind about the trade he took his sister and left the pack. He had supported himself and his sister for the last two years, but living alone with no pack was taking its toll on the siblings.

Ryan had met with the two at Betty's Diner to discus the matter of them joining the pack. Ryan listened as Randy told his story about his past pack and the situation with Nikita. He told Randy that he would talk it over with his pack and get back to him within the next few days.

When the two left the diner Ryan called Angel to let her know that the meeting was over and he would be home in about 15 minutes. He had her tell the other guys that they needed to gather for a pack meeting they would have when he arrived home. Ryan held the meeting with his pack explaining the situation of the two new wolves he met today. They held a vote on if they were going to accept the new wolves into the pack.
