Chapter 6

She found herself dreaming about that wolf again, the one she had dreamed about on the plane. She had dreamed about that wolf a few times a month since she had moved her, but this dream seemed to be different. The wolf was running through the woods. She knew these woods they were the woods that she jogged everyday on her property. She was running with the wolf, when the wolf came to a stop.

She looked in the direction the wolf was staring to see a large jet black figure coming towards her. She noticed right away the eyes of the creature, they were sapphire blue. She knew the eyes from somewhere but she couldn't think of where. The figure came into full view and she noticed it was a wolf too. Her wolf that she was running with ran up to the other wolf and rubbed against its snout. The other wolf returned the gesture and then they started licking each other. 'I guess you would call that kissing as a wolf,' she thought to herself. She thought to herself that she should be scared. She should run away from this wolf that she didn't know, but she didn't. She just stood there watching.

Ryan laid down in his bed and stared at the white ceiling. All that he could think about was Angel, the she wolf that was just across the house from him. He couldn't get her out of his mind all day. He even convinced the other guys to go see her at the diner and later at the bar, even though they were set on starting to work on the farmhouse instead. Not that they didn't have fun at the bar. They got more attention from girls than they have had in years. These human girls were so into the new men. It was like a new toy for them all to play with. A few women at the bar had tried to talk to him too, but he could keep his focus from the girl behind the bar for too long. He watched her as she worked all night, and wished the whole time that he could just be alone with her so that they could talk. When she had got home that night he could tell that she was too tired to talk. He just let her eat in peace so that she could get some sleep.

His thoughts were all about her that night. He didn't think that he was going to get any sleep. All he could think about was her natural tan looking skin smooth as silk. He wondered to himself what it would feel like to touch it. He knew that her hands were softer than anything he has ever felt, and figured the rest of the skin would be the same or softer. If that was even possible. He was thinking about her lips, how they were perfectly set and full. She had the most amazing sky blue eyes that he could stare into for hours without getting bored. She had a fit and slim body with a perfect butt and large breasts for her size.

The wolf inside of him stirred at that thought. 'We need to be with her, she is the one for us, she is our mate' the wolf said. Ryan didn't argue with his wolf. He knew the moment that he picked up her scent that she was his. He had to have her. He had to claim her as his mate. He just didn't know how to do that. It became clear to him watching her throughout the day that she didn't know that she was a werewolf. How she didn't know he couldn't figure out, but he knew that she had no idea.

There is no wolf that would just accept a new pack into her home without any questions. When they first met her she didn't show any fear of them at all. A she wolf should have been terrified of three new males invading her territory, but she wasn't scared at all. She had no idea what Jack meant when he mentioned a pack. How she would not know about a pack, he had no idea. He knew that he had to get to know her more to figure out what was going on. He didn't mind. In fact, he and his wolf could not wait to get to know her more. If it were up to his wolf they would be in her room right now trying to get to know her more. It's a good thing that he had control over his wolf. He was sure she wouldn't take it lightly when a strange man walks into her room in the middle of the night.

He drifted off to sleep and began to dream. His wolf was common in his dreams, but there was something different about this dream. His wolf was searching for something. It had its nose to the ground running after whatever scent that it caught onto. He followed the wolf through the woods until it stopped and was staring ahead. He looked to see what his wolf was looking at. There through the trees he could see a silver wolf with black around its nose, ears, and eyes. He noticed the eyes of the wolf were a bright sky blue. He couldn't recall where he had seen them before. His wolf ran up to the other wolf and started to nuzzle it and lick its snout. The other wolf returned the favor to his. 'Lucky wolf,' he thought to himself.

Angel woke up the next morning feeling more than confused about her wolf dream last night. She wasn't use to having dreams that felt as real as that one did to her. She couldn't help but feeling there was something specific that she should remember about the dream, but couldn't remember what it was. She walked out to the kitchen and started the coffee maker. As she waited for the coffee maker to finish, she looked out the window at the farmhouse next door. It was crazy how much had changed in her life in just one day. Yesterday had started out just like any other day, but by the end of the day she had three strangers sharing her house and cottage. She got up from the table to pour a cup of coffee when she heard a door open.

Ryan woke up feeling restless from his dream last night. He couldn't get over the visions of the new wolf he seen in his dreams. There was something about the wolfs eyes that he just couldn't place, and it really bothered him. His wolf on the other hand seemed to be completely at peace with itself in side of him. 'What do you know about this other wolf that I don't?' He asked. 'You know everything that I know, you just don't see it as clearly as I do,' his wolf replied. 'Yeah, that helps a lot. Thanks for nothing,' he growled back at the wolf. He could smell freshly brewed coffee coming from the other room and got up to go see who it was that made it. He opened the bedroom door, and headed for the kitchen.

"Good morning Ryan, how did you sleep?" Angel asked when he walked into the kitchen.

"Very well, thank you" he responded as he poured himself a cup of coffee.

He sat across the table from her and took a sip of coffee. He stared at the woman across from him, at a loss for words. Angel also found herself with nothing to say, as she stared at the man across the table from her. They both were distracted when they heard the front door open. Tony and Jack walked in and greeted them before heading over to get some coffee for themselves. They sat at the table with them, and then started to discuss the plans they had for working on the house that day. Angel stood up from the table to get ready for her run.

"Did we scare you off?" Tony asked when he seen her get up.

"No, not at all. Its just time for my morning run," Angel replied over her shoulder. She put on her running jacket and headed out the door.

She reached the woods and let her mind take over for her run. She was surprised to find herself stop in the middle of the run. All of a sudden she remembered what she was trying to figure out about her dream this morning. It was the eyes of the wolf. She knew where she remembered those eyes from now. They were Ryan's eyes. What were his eyes doing in the wolf in her dream, she wondered? 'Because he's ours. We need him in our lives.' Her wolf answered the unspoken question. 'You know you are really starting to confuse me voice. At one time we were always on the same page, but for the last few days you have me completely thrown off.'

Ryan was trying to concentrate on what his friends were saying while discussing plans for their new house, but his mind kept going back to the wolf in his dreams. He was racking his brain for any memory of ever meeting that wolf before. He knew that she was not from his old pack. He knew every wolf from that pack, but where did she come from? The eyes on that wolf were so stunning big, bright, and blue as the sky.

'That's it,' he thought to himself. 'Those are Angel's eyes. How did I not catch that right away?' He pondered 'Took you long enough to figure it out,' his wolf teased. 'Well maybe if you would have helped me out a little instead of playing mind games with me I would have figured it out sooner,' he said back to the wolf.

"Ryan, are you even listening to me?" Tony growled at him.

"Oh sorry Tony. I was thinking about something else. Where were we?" Ryan looked at his friend to continue the conversation.

When Angel returned from her run the men were gone. There was a note on the table that read:

Angel, we had to go into town to get some supplies to work on the house. Sorry that we had to leave before you got back. If you need anything please call me at 1-555-222-

8493. Ryan

Angel added the number to her cell phone in case she needed to get a hold of him in the future and placed the note on her dresser. She didn't know why she kept the note, but for some reason she couldn't get herself to throw it away. She took some time to clean the house, not that it really needed it, and then went to do some laundry.

When she walked into the laundry room she was hit by a familiar scent. It was the scent of the men coming from a basket of dirty clothes. She decided to wash the clothes for the men, even though they had told her they could do it themselves. She put a load of clothes in the washer and headed back out to the living room. She decided to look through the photo album that her aunt had given her. She sat down on the couch and was about to open it when the phone rang. She placed it down on the coffee table and went to answer the phone. It was Betty. The other waitress was still sick and she wanted to know if she would fill in for her again. Angel agreed and went off to take a shower. When she got out of the shower she moved the clothes from the washer to the dryer and started it.

She still had about two hours before she had to leave for work. She decided she would go out to the cottage and clean it for the men. When she walked into the cottage she was surprised to see that the cleaning had already been done. She looked around to see if there was anything that she could do, but the whole thing was already clean. She had brought out more clean towels with her and placed them on the shelf in the bathroom. She walked back up to the house and went back to the couch to look at her pictures. She was lost in the memories when she heard the dryer alarm go off. She got up and folded the men's laundry then looked at the clock. It was time for her to leave for work. She left the basket of clean folded clothes on the coffee table for them to find when they got home. She left a note on the table letting them know where she was and left her number for them too.

Ryan, Tony, and Jack arrived back at the estate just after noon. They went in to make some lunch before they started their day of work. Ryan seen the note on the table from Angel and let the others know where she went. They made sandwiches and went into the living room to watch some TV and eat. They all let out a laugh when they seen the clean folded laundry on the table.

"Already acting like an Alphas mate I see." Tony teased at Ryan.

"She doesn't even know what she is yet. Lets not jump to conclusions." Ryan replied.

"Oh don't even try to deny it Ryan. We see the way that you two look at each other. You know that she's going to be your mate, and your wolf does too." Jack added. Ryan just rolled his eyes and gave a little growl before sitting down.

When he finished his meal he noticed the photo album sitting on the table. He picked it up and began to look at the pictures. As he was looking through the pictures he noticed how the girl looked nothing like the people he assumed were her parents in the photos. They both had dark hair and light skin tones. Angel had blonde hair and a natural tanned skin tone.

"Hey look at this guys. Angel doesn't look anything like her parents. Do you think that she was adopted as a child?" Ryan asked his friends. They all looked at the pictures and agreed that she looked nothing like the other people in the photos.

"But a 'were' would never give up a child to humans. If they couldn't take care of a child they would have someone else in the pack take care of it for them." Tony stated.

"That's true, but what if her parents were not part of a pack. That could happen right?" Jack added. They sat there for a while pondering if that could have been the case.

The men worked on the farm house all day. During their work they heard a car pull in next door, and knew that Angel had come home. It was almost 8:00 when they finished their work and headed off to take showers. When Ryan walked in the door Angel greeted him and told him that she was making dinner for them. It would be ready in about 30 minutes. He thanked her for making dinner, and also for the laundry she had done earlier. He called Tony after his shower and told him and Jack to come up for dinner. They all ate with just a little small talk in between bites. Angel thought that she had made enough chicken, pasta, and rolls for them to be able to heat up the leftovers for lunch the next day, but she was wrong. These guys could really eat. There wasn't a crumb left by the end of dinner.

She was about to start dishes when Ryan spoke.

"Let Tony and Jack get those dishes Angel, you have already worked all day."

"It's ok, I don't mind." she said as she reached into the sink. All of a sudden she felt a hand grab her arm lightly and turn her around.

"Please, it's the least we can do after all you have done for us." Ryan smiled down at her. She could feel her skin tingling where his hand held onto her arm. She reached down and put her hand over his hand on her arm and smiled as she agreed to leave the dishes to the other men. Ryan moved his hand to her shoulder and asked if she wanted to go watch some TV with him. She agreed and walked with him to the living room.

While they were sitting on the couch watching some reality TV show that neither one of them were into, she seen Ryan reach down and pick up the photo album on the table. She all of a sudden felt anxious. Was he going to ask her a bunch of questions about her parents that would make her break down and cry in front of him? She felt comfortable around him, but she wasn't ready to break down and cry in front of a guy that she barely even knew. She waited for the questions as he scanned through the pictures, but wasn't asking any questions like she thought he would. When he did finally ask a question it wasn't any of the ones running through her mind that she thought he would have asked.

"Where did you get you blonde hair, and blue eyes from?" he asked. 'Oh that's an easy one,' she thought to herself.

"Well the people you see in the photo are not my biological parents. They adopted me when I was just a baby." she said. She explained to him the car accident that her biological parents had and how she was almost killed too, but her father Bryan had nursed her back to health. She explained how they had searched to find out who her real parents were or any other living relative that she would have, but they were not able to find out any information. She frowned to herself at these thoughts. She really would like to know some of her other family, if there was anyone left. Maybe they would have accepted her more than her aunt does. She quickly pushed those thoughts to the back of her mind so that they wouldn't ruin the otherwise good day that she was having.
