Chapter 15 (Part 2)

Chapter 15 (Part 2)

Angel listened and asked questions until she thought that her brain couldn't take any more. She excused herself and went to lie in her bedroom to try and sort out and absorb all the new information. She didn't know how she felt about being a werewolf.

She felt excited about all the new things that she was going to explore as a wolf. She understood so much more of herself now. She knew why she could, see, smell, hear, and heal faster than a normal human. She understood why she was always so drawn to running through the forest. She learned that the voice inside her head was the voice of her wolf, and Ryan told her that she needed to be open to the voice and build a relationship with it to better understand herself.

At the same time she was angry. She was angry that she never knew any of this information before tonight. She felt herself angry at her parents for not telling her, but when she thought about it she couldn't be mad at them. They had no idea what she was. She wasn't their biological child. Her real parents were killed in a car accident so they could never explain these things to her either.

She also found part of her was sad. She was sad that she would never again just be a normal person. She was sad that she had missed out on living in a pack as a child like Ryan, Tony, and Jack had. If she would have just grown up in a pack this would all come so natural to her, and she wouldn't have to be scared at how she was going to adjust to her new life.

She found that she wasn't scared about being a wolf, she was scared about if she would be able to control becoming a wolf or not. Ryan had told her that with time she would be able to control it at will and that the only time she really had to worry about changing with no control before then would be around a full moon. She wanted to know how long it would take her to have control over herself. Ryan didn't have an answer for her. He said that it was different for everyone; it all depended on how in touch with your inner wolf you were.

She wasn't in touch with her inner wolf at all she thought to herself. She had talked to the voice inside her head for years, but they never really held conversations on a daily basis or anything. She just allowed the voice to lead her in the right direction, and to offer her comfort when she needed it.

The wolf had spoken to her today, she thought. It tried to get her out of the situation but her body wouldn't listen. It talked her though what to do when Ryan had her pinned to the ground. Maybe she was more in touch with her wolf then she thought.

She thought about what Ryan had did in the forest, how he had jumped on her and held her to the ground. She had asked him about that and he explained that he was an Alpha wolf, and that he had to show her that he was dominate over her. He assured her that he meant no harm. He just had to show her wolf that he was in charge so that her wolf didn't try to attack him.

There was a knock on her door and then Tony spoke from the other side.

"May I come in Angel? I have a few things that I would like to show you. It might help you understand more about where you came from" he said softly through the door.

"Come in" she replied. Tony walked in carrying some paperwork in his hands. He sat down on the bed next to her as he explained what he was carrying.

"I have been doing research on you since we first met. I knew that you had no idea that you were a wolf, and was curious to find out how. The more we found out about you, the more it made sense to me. I did some research and I found information on your biological parents for you." He handed her the paperwork he had in his hands.

"I will let you look over all that, if you have any questions we are all here for you to ask. Please don't be afraid to ask us anything" he told her in a soft voice with a caring smile on his face as he left the room.

Angel looked over the information in front of her. In the stack of paper work she found a photo of a man and woman. The woman was beautiful she had a slender body, with an even fair skin tone. She had long blonde hair just like Angels, and light green eyes. The man in the picture had a darker skin tone. He had a well defined face with dark hair and sky blue eyes.

She studied the photo as she matched each one of her own features to the bodies in the photo. This was a picture of her biological parents. She had bits and pieces of each of them in her. She had her mothers hair, lips, and figure. She had her fathers eyes, and nose. Her skin tone was a perfect blend of theirs together with a natural tanned look. She was lighter than her father, but darker than her mother. She felt tears flow down her face as she started at the picture of the parents she was never lucky enough to know.

Angel spent the next few hours going over the pictures and information that Tony had provided to her. She read about the packs that her parents had belonged to. She read about the family that she still had, that she had never met. She had grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She had so many people that she hoped one day she would be able to meet.

She wondered to herself if these people would want to meet her. Would they accept her as family? Would they turn her away like her aunt Greta did when her father brought her into their family, she wondered to herself. She was lost in thought when the sound of her cell phone ringing startled her.

She looked at the phone to see who was calling. It was a call from Betty's Diner. 'oh shit,' she thought to herself. 'I'm late for my shift.' She answered the phone and listened for the voice on the other end.

"Angel is everything alright?" the small voice on the other end questioned.

"Yes Betty, I am so sorry. I had a, umm, accident today and I wont be able to make it in for my shift. I am so sorry I forgot to call." Angel replied.

"Oh dear! I hope everything is okay. Are you hurt?" Betty asked.

"No Betty I am fine, I just ran into a, umm tree, on my run and hit my head. I am fine and should be back to work on Wednesday. Is that ok?" Angel didn't want to lie to the lovely old woman, but she knew that she couldn't tell her the whole truth.

"Oh yes dear, you take care now" Betty said before hanging up the phone. Angel had been so caught in the events of the day that she forgot all about her shift at the diner.

Now that she thought she had all of the new information sorted in her mind she decided that she should go out and let the men know that she was alright, and they could stop worrying about her. She had heard them whispering in the living room over the last few hours on if someone should check on her. Wondering if she was taking the news ok or if was the calm before the storm and she was going to start freaking out about being a werewolf.

She was proud of herself at how well she had taken the news. She didn't think that she was going to be able to handle it all with the ease that she did. She figured she owed her calm response to the fact that she had always known that she was different. She always knew that there was more to her than what meets the eyes, but she could never figure out what it was. Now she knew what it was and it left her feeling whole, like the link that was always missing in her life was finally put in place.

The three men looked up instantly when they heard her bedroom door open. They all studied her face waiting for her reaction. She simply flashed them a quick smile and walked into the kitchen. She was starving and need something to eat. She was rummaging through the fridge when she heard the footsteps behind her. She decided to embrace her wolf side and instead of turning to see who it was she sucked in a deep breath and analyzed the scent. She smiled to herself and she recognized it was Ryan.

"Don't worry Ryan; I'm not going to freak out. I found that I am taking the news quite well actually." She flashed him another quick smile as she bit into her apple and closed the fridge.

Ryan stared back at her amazed. How could she be taking this so well he thought to himself? He had braced himself for days, even weeks of trying to explain things and comfort her until she accepted the fact that she was a wolf. Now here she was chewing on her apple like nothing even happened. Was she in denial, just pretending like everything was normal, he asked himself.

"So how do you think that I dreamed about your wolf, and you dreamed about mine before we had ever seen each other wolfs?" She asked then took another bite.

'Well I guess not, she obviously is accepting the fact that she is a werewolf this calmly. That is just amazing.' He thought to himself before answering her question.

"There are ancient stories that some 'weres' are destined for each other. Where their wolves find each other before they even know each other exist. The wolves meet in the dreams and draw those people together." he replied.

She smiled widely at the thought of that. Her wolf wanted him as much as she wanted him.

"So you think my wolf likes you wolf?" She asked with a grin.

"Yes, I'm pretty sure that our wolves are very fond of each other" he replied. She set down her apple and walked over to him and placed her hands on his chest.

"Well that's good, because I would hate to have to fight with my wolf about a mate. If my wolf didn't accept you then we would have a serious problem" she whispered in his ear.

She bit down lightly on his earlobe and kissed him down his neck, across his jaw, and then on his lips. Ryan felt shivers roll down his spine when her lips touched his body. He grabbed her by her waist and pulled her up into his arms.

"Are you saying that you would like to be my mate?" he asked a huge smile spreading across his face.

"You should already know that I am your mate, and could never love another" she responded as she placed another kiss to his lips.

"I love you now, and forever Angel, my little Angel." he set her back down on the floor and they walked hand in hand to the living room.

When they reached the living room Jack and Tony were all grins.

"Does this mean that we have to plan a mating ceremony?" Tony asked as he winked at them.

"Yes, you should get on that right away." Ryan said.

"Ok, I will call around to see if I can find an Alpha in the area to complete the ceremony for us." Tony said as he headed for the front door.

"I will, umm, see if he needs any help" Jack added as he rushed out the door after Tony.

"Why are they in such a hurry to get out of here?" Angel asked.

"I'm sure that it has to do with wanting to give us some alone time since we just announced that we are mates. I also think that they are still waiting for you to freak out about everything, but from what I can see that's not going to happen is it?"

Angel smiled up at her mate and just shook her head. She wasn't going to freak out; she had accepted the fact that she was a werewolf. She finally felt she had a place where she belonged. She had a new family that accepted her as she was, and there were no secrets that she had to keep from them.
