You huffed, tying your y/h/c hair into a ponytail.

Steve had gotten the brilliant idea to go hiking, and dragged you, Peter, and Bucky along with him.

Which would have been enjoyable, had it not been ninety degrees outside, and the trail leading uphill the whole way.

"Cap?" Peter grumbled, "You couldn't have picked a day that's not, you know, ninety degrees?"

"Or a trail that's not uphill?" You complained.

Steve sighed, while Peter shouted "See? Y/n agrees with me!"

"Y/n, Peter," Steve started, "This is good training, you never know where your missions are going to take you, and unfortunately, you don't have the option of comfort when you're saving the world."

"Okay Dad, thank you for the lecture," You sassed, laughing.

Steve shook his head, chuckling. Peter laughed and high-fived you, starting to talk, "Hey Bucky?" He asked, "Does this not bother you?"

"What?" He asked, "The heat? Or you two kids yapping? Because that does bother me."

"The heat. And gosh you sound like a grumpy old man."

You laughed before Bucky answered, "The heat doesn't bother me."

"He was put in Cryo Freeze remember? Bucky the ice cube?" You reminded Peter, "Maybe he's still thawing."

"Oh right! That must be why Steve doesn't care either, he's still thawing from his days as Capsicle." Peter replied.

You both laughed as Bucky and Steve glared at you.

After another half hour of hiking, you finally made it to the top of what Steve called a hill, although to you, it felt like more of a mountain. The hike did come with an amazing view, although you were too tired to really care.

You leaned against a tree, and closed your eyes.

"Umm, is Y/n okay?" You heard Bucky question, "We didn't kill her right?"

You, with your eyes still shut, replied, "This is my life now."

"What?"

"I have climbed upon this mountain and I will now die upon it."

You heard Bucky scoff, and opened your eyes to glare at him," I spent a whole forty five excruciating minutes climbing this mountain. I didn't do that for nothing. Like I said, this is my life now, I'm here until I die."

Bucky laughed," That may have been the most overdramatic thing I've ever heard in all one hundred years of my life."

Peter sat down next to you, "Actually, I agree with Y/n," He stated, "I'm not moving anytime soon."

You laughed, "Thanks Parker," You leaned your head on his shoulder, "Bucky, you and Steve can go save the world while we live out the rest of our days here."

"I give up on you two," Bucky laughed, walking away.

Deciding to be stubborn, you and Peter actually refused to move. Steve and Bucky threatened to leave you both there, and even then, you refused to move.

"Did they actually leave us?" Peter asked after noticing that they weren't anywhere near.

"I think they did," you answered, looking around, not seeing them anywhere.

"How are we going to get back to the compound?" He asked, chuckling.

"We'll figure it out," you smiled, "We always do."

"You mean we'll call for Nat to come save us?" He mused.

"Exactly." You laughed.
