"Hello sir Tovak" I bowed to Tovak. His right eye opened at the sound of my voice where he sat on the ground.

"Welcome avatar, come sit we need to talk" He ordered. I nodded skeptically and made my way over to him, and sat before him "we have decided that it would be best if you lived here in the mansion"

"Wait what? " I blurted. But-

"It would be easier, transportation wise"
He explained.

"Ok than sure-"

"We've already talked to your father about it. Maybe this way you wouldn't be so...uh distracted" He added.

"Well-" Really man?

"Show me some of your water bending forms" He cut me off abruptly, standing.

"Ok" I stood too and bend the water in the small pond next to the mansion around in blobs. Then into some small balls and then into ice.

"Good...But not good enough" He said, face blank.

I blow up my cheeks in thought, oh!
"I can do this" I bent a good amount of water from the pond into a big block of ice. I glanced over at Tovaks face and all I see is  boredom. I grin and start moulding the ice,  wiggling my fingers about as the ice melts untill it's the shape of a car, "Tada! Since my dad is a Potter and all, I've always helped him mould, so I tried with water bending and yeah.."

"Impressive but this skill is not going to help in a battle" Tovak said unimpressed.

"Battle!? " I exclaimed in surprise.

"Yes battle what did you think I said? "

"You mean as in fighting?"

"You're the avatar. And as the avatar you are going to come across many enemies"

"But I don't want to hurt anyone" I pleaded. Why? Because it felt like I did it. Like I killed my own mother, I know it's absurd but I was the only one there, I saw her die, I should know.

"Come on, just hit me"
I hesitantly bent a wave from the pond out onto the ground onto Tovak freezing him in the wave. The ice melts and falls to the ground in an instant.

"Well at least defend your self" He said and moved his hands up over his head. The water that melted bends into a wave rushing towards me turning to spikes of ice.

"Woah! " I squeaked and jumped backwards my hand instinctively moved over my face and the spikes melted back to water.

"Did you or did you not throw Lee into the sea when you first met him? " Tovak questioned.

"I did but it was on instinct. I was technically half asleep"

"What would you do if your father was kidnapped? "

"I'd find him of course" I answered almost immediately.

"What if they tried to kill him, would you hurt them? would you kill them?" His voice low and taunting, his eyes weren't blue anymore, but red. What is going on?

"No! I wouldn't.. I-i couldn't"

"What kind of daughter would you be then? Huh? What kind of avatar would you be? " He taunted. I couldn't look into his eyes, for I was afraid.

"Sorry to disturb sir, but sir Souta is on the line-" I heard the voice of a women, I looked up only to see her being held back by Tovak, who had an ice spike to her neck. Her face evident of fear. At the foot of the mansion stood dozens of the women watching in horror.

"Let her go, what are you doing? This is crazy! " I yelled in bewilderment. This man has definitely got a few loose screws.

"This is how you're going to protect your people? We might as well all kill ourselves then, because our avatar is useless"

I couldn't help but feel scared for the lady too. What was I to do?

"Tovak your not going to hurt her just let her go" I cautioned around them. The spike sank deeper into her skin as she gasped for air.

"What are you going to do about it...avatar?"

"No don't do this, just please let her go" The emotions drained from my face completely.

Tovak laughs maniacally. Then everything goes black as I feel my feet leave the ground.

(Third person POV)

To kaira it was as if she had fallen asleep. But to everyone else her body had left the earth and she was now floating her eyes and the tattooos on her her arms and legs under the bandages glowed with the most luminous light.

"What kind of game is this? " Kaira spoke, but it sounded like the voice of a thousand people in synchronization.

"Avatar korra? " Tovak shrieks in fear and the ice in his hands melts back to liquid. The women drops to her knees coughing and grunting in pain.

"How dare you threaten me. I will fight when I need to not when you take innocent people as hostage"

"I-im sorry avatar korra, I was just trying to help" Tovak whimpered.

"Don't forget that I have fought before. I fought thousand of battles in all my lifetimes, I don't need to fight you to prove my worth" Kaira's hand moves up and Tovak's body flys backwards hitting the mansion stairs creating a crater.

Kaira's body lowers to the ground and her eyes dull. She stands shakily on her feet as she came back to be herself, "what happened? " She asked staring at the scene before her.

Tovak coughs and blood spilled out of his mouth, he began to laugh then cough then laugh, "you did this" He said. He wasn't himself that was for sure.

"What? " Kaira whispered unsure of herself, "no" She inched toward the distressed women who was held against her will only a few moments ago, "are yo-u ok? " The women flinches at kaira. And kaira's heart breaks. I'm a monster, she thought.

"I-im sorry" She backed away from her, and ran. Not knowing where she was going, but she ran, down the mountain. Before she knew it she was earthbending down the mountain, she stood on a slab as it slid down the mountain. She got off and ran, she didn't know where she was heading but she knew she had to get away.

"Where's my daughter?! " Kiva yelled grabbing Tovaks shirt. Souta held Kiva back before he could smash Tovaks face with his fist.

"We don't have time to be fighting, calm down! " Souta scolded, "stop fighting like little boys! "

"She's near, and safe. There's nothing to worry about" Yang chin said, as he sat cross legged on the ground in meditation.

"I don't know what happened? One minute, we're training, the next I'm up against the stairs blood spilling out my mouth" Tovaks said in pure shock. Horror creeping onto his face.

"What are you talking about?!" Kiva bellowed in anger. He wasn't the type to get angry, but if it came to his daughter, he'd lay down his life for her.

"You were possessed.. " Yang chin said still meditating.

"What? " Tovak exclaimed.

"Aren't they the ones who caused all of these events to occur. Since the beginning.. " Yang chin a mysterious old one for sure.

"We know that, obviously the disease is a cover" Souta said, and the men nod in agreement.

"Is this the first time kaira's, used the avatar state? " Yang chin asked, and everyone went quiet.

"No.. " Kiva sighed, "that night when Taira- kaira, she was in the corner crying, when I went to get her, she said there was monster but before that, her eyes glowed and her body left the earth. It was scary to see my daughter like that. She's rarely gotten angry growing up, she was a happy child"

"Look, I'm sorry I let myself go. But whatever grudges that we may have against each other, let's let it go for now" Tovak relented.

"She's my daughter, me and Tairas, don't bring up the past" Kiva sneered at Tovak.

"Enough! Both of you! " Souta shouted and they shut up for good.

"We have to focus on training the avatar" Yang chin suggested quietly.

"How are things over in republic city? " Souta sighed.

"Mako and Lee plus the police force are keeping the portal under control, we need to be calm during this time. We still don't know what's happening.. " Yang chin said eyes closed and as calm as ever.

(Kaira POV)

I coughed and took a deep breath. I looked up at my surroundings, the train station.

I got on a train and take the nearest seat, still breathing heavily. Is this what being the avatar is like? Hurting people.
If so, then I don't want any part of it.

"Oh my it's the avatar" A women gasped, she was sitting opposite of me with something wrapped in her hands.

I smile lightly at her. Why? I don't want to be treated like this, after what I did.

"Where are you headed, avatar? " She asked, cradling the bundle in her hands, it was a baby.

"My grandma" I answered immediately. I wish I could go back to being me. I wish I could start all over.

"Oh so sweet of you, to visit her" The women smiled. If I could start all over, from the beginning.

"Grangran! " I cried into her back.

"Honey, what are you doing here? " My grandma asked, slightly shocked.

"I know. You always knew didn't  you? " I wiped away the tears that escaped.

The surprise faded. "It doesn't change a thing, you're still my granddaughter, Kaira. No avatar title or bending abilities is going to change who you are" She held my hands and looked into my eyes. Hers as grey as ever.

"Grangran I hurt them, I don't want to hurt anyone. I didn't mean to, I don't want to be the avatar" I looked down to the tear stained earth.

"I'll help you control yourself"

"I'm, sorry" I whispered.

Dudes I feel for Kaira. It's so confusing for her, not knowing anything about herself. And through all this pain she doesn't get angry.

Damn, I think I kinda cried.
