Chapter Twenty: Night to Remember

Dean had left the room about ten minutes ago after we ended that hug. I must admit, it was nice to be embraced. Dean's bed, was rather comfy, it had his smell on it already. My leg crossed my other one, my foot tapping the air as my eyes focused on Sam, as he shifts to get comfy.

"Gabby," Sam's voice was a mere whisper, but loud enough for myself to hear. Dean had barely gone ten minutes, and Sam is awake. Or he might be dreaming? If he's dreaming then that means he's dreaming about me...

I waited for him to say something again, just to be sure, but he didn't speak. I smiled to myself, as I gently stood from the bed, and went over to Sam. I got the covers from the bottom, and started to pull them up, over him. As I was half-way up his body, Sam turns, and his face looks peaceful. I smiled down at him, thinking of a time that was easy and peaceful.

"Gabby," he states in a sluggish tone, as he cracks one eye open, but not open enough to fully see. "Will you stay with me?" He asks so innocently, and sounded like a child. However, I could say no to him, and it was only staying next to him, and nothing more.

"Sure," I said, and he suddenly began to scoot over in the bed. Oh he means lay with him, like next to him. Body affection or any type of affection, I've thought I lost centuries ago. Sam laid on his side, facing me, and there was enough space for me for my petite figure. I quickly kick off my heel boots, and brushes my leather jacket off with ease, as I got into the bed, facing away from Sam as he can stare at my back.

Once I was comfy, I could feel Sam press up to me, I could feel his warm breath on my neck. His arm draped around my body, like we were spooning. I think this is actually what we were doing. Spooning...

Luckily, I didn't tense up and welcomed his embrace and instinctively I lean back into him welcoming it even more. For the first time in awhile, I felt something, something more than friendship between Sam, and even Dean. It was like a love triangle, and I couldn't choose. Not now at least...

My mind had gone from the good place to the bad place within seconds. I had the fear of them finding out what I truly was, that I was an Vampire, a monster that feeds on innocent people. That once they knew, they will see me as nothing more as a blood thirsty vampire and they will have to hunt me down. I shook that evil thought from my head, but I did it softly, trying not to draw attention to myself.

Sam's breath seemed to trickle down my neck, and oddly enough it calmed my mind. My eyes seemed to drift down, my heart rate steady, as it went in rhythm with Sam's. Within seconds, I was out like a light. Sleep had taken me in and we cuddled through the night...

That night I felt truly safe in Sam Winchester's arms, and I had forgotten all of my troubles. This was a night to remember...

...........................................

The night had passed, morning had begun. My eyes fluttered open to natural light entering the room. I must have needed the sleep as I don't remember anything after I had closed my eyes and snuggled against Sam. I was currently on my back, my arm over my head, but I had noticed that the space next to me was empty.

Suddenly, I heard someone throwing up into something. I cocked my head to the side to the length mirror, I could see Sam's reflection in it. His hair hanging in front of his face, as he knelt miserably in front of the toilet.

Before I could do or say anything, the door to the room swings open as Dean strides in. He sees Sam in the bathroom being sick, and a grin appears on his face.

"How are you feeling, Sammy?" Dean states loud enough for Sam to hear, but I just heard him groan once again. "I guess mixing whisky and Jager wasn't such a gangbuster idea, was it?" Dean had taken off his jacket, as I lent up in the bed, as my eyes went to Dean to see him smiling. "I'll bet you don't remember a thing from last night, do you?" He states his face hopeful that he doesn't remember.

Sam groans once again. "Ohh, I can still taste the tequila," Sam replies, and Dean nods in relief. Dean's eyes went to mine, to see me on Sam's bed, his expression on his face was surprised and it looked like he was going to ask something, but I quickly put up my index finger to him.

"Not a word," I said to him, but he just looks away from my darkly gaze.

"You know, there's a really good hangover remedy -- it's a, it's a greasy pork sandwich served up in a dirty ashtray," Dean states to annoy Sam and try to make him sick once again. But that actually sounded nice...

I hear Sam heave a little like some more was going to be thrown up. "Oh, I hate you,"

"I know you do," Dean states right of the bat, I just laugh quietly, as I stood from the bed, and lent down to put my heel boots back on.

"Hey, turns out when Grandma Rose was a tyke," Dean began as I hear his loud footsteps walk towards the bathroom. "She had a Creole nanny who wore a hoodoo necklace," Dean then made an 'ugh' sounded as he smelt what was in the bathroom.

"So you think she taught Rose Hoodoo?" Sam asked, his voice rough. As I finished zipping my heel boots up, and standing from the bed.

"Yes, I do," Dean replied to Sam, as I made my way over to stand behind Dean and from here I could smell the vomit.

"All right," Sam states as he used the toilet seat to push down on so he can stand, but it looked like he was hard to stand up. Once he was up, he presses his back against the door frame and looked to Dean and I. "I think it's time we talked to Rose, then," his breath had brushed pasted us and I gagged a little.

"Oh. You can brush your teeth first," Dean felt disgusted and walked away, as Sam watched him go before his eyes landed on me.

"And you might wanna use some deodorant," I gave Sam a cocky smile as I walked away from him, and grabbed my jacket from the floor. "You two talk to Rose, and I'll have a wonder round," I said to them, but before they could object I opened the door and left the room behind.

It was time for myself to look around...

.........................................................................

I had wondered through the hotel, looking at pictures of Rose and her Nanny and sure she was a witch who used Hoodoo, you could just tell. Me being around for awhile, you see the signs. But something didn't seem to add up to me, everything that we knew was all over and not right like wires were crossed.

I crept around the hallways, but then my phone began to buzz in my leather jacket pocket. I pull it out to see 'Dean' on the screen. I quickly answered the call and placed the phone to my ear. "Gabby, we got kicked out of the hotel, because we got caught talking to Rose in the attic. So we need you to keep an eye on them," I sighed at their stupidity with an eye roll.

"Well done boys," I spoke with sarcasm in my voice. "I'll keep an eye out," I ended the call, the line went dead, and I placed my phone back into my pocket. They failed miserably at sneaking around, so I'll see what I can find.

I pushed off my legs, and used my vamp-speed to zoom through the halls and up to the attic in seconds. In the attic was a old woman in a wheelchair, staring out of the window. I moved closer, treading carefully on the wooden floor boards, the grey hair of the woman stood out.

I came round the front, to see her wrinkly old face, just staring into oblivion. As I focused on her, I could feel something, like an energy, but it wasn't bad. It emitted off of her weak body, it was a sense of magic, but it wasn't dark magic. Then something clicked inside of me. What if she used the five-spots urns to ward something off, to protect the hotel from something.

My eyes lit up in recognition, as I took my gaze from the old lady, but suddenly, I heard a car engine rev, and I went over to the window to see Susan's car going straight towards her. But in a blink of an eye, Sam appears, tackling her out of the way. I sighed in relief, as I turned back around and took myself out of the room. I knew the boys won't go far, not until this problem was solved.

I made my way out of the attic, and down to the lobby. I could her Sam, Dean and Susan talking in the bar area. Half-way through a conversation.

"Just answer the question," Sam's voice came to play.

"About a month ago," Susan replied to whatever question they asked her.

"Right before the killings began," Sam began, as I entered the bar area, as heads turned towards me.

"Rose was working hoodoo, but not to hurt anyone. To protect them," I said aloud, walking towards them, but they weren't surprised at my sudden appearance.

"She was using the five-spot urns to ward off the spirit," Dean states, as I stood next to him, out eyes on Sam. So, a spirit is behind all of this, and Hoodoo was keeping it away.

"Right, until she had a stroke and she couldn't anymore," Sam replied to us, as all the pieces was coming together.

"I don't believe this," Susan spoke up, she couldn't because she didn't believe in the supernatural.

"Believe it, sister, that car didn't try and run you down by itself, okay?" I tried to make her believe in such things, but people don't believe in that shit anymore. I mean if we were in the 16th century then they would totally be up for believing.

"Look, believe what you want. But the fact is you and your family are in danger, all right? So you need to clear everybody out of here: your employees, your mother, your daughters, everyone," Sam stresses out to Susan, as everyone was endanger and he wants everyone to be safe from harm.

"Uh, I only have one daughter," Susan states, as she was confused on what Sam was on about.

"One?" Sam asked, his eyebrows frowning.

"I thought Tyler had a sister named Maggie," Dean said, as we all heard that Susan said something about this girl called 'Maggie'.

"Maggie's imaginary," Susan made clear, as she has only one daughter. Then that means this Maggie person is a spirit that's not wanting this family to leave the hotel behind.

"Where's Tyler?" I had said in a worried voice, but Susan eyes just met mine and they had no idea where she was at this moment in time. And that didn't sit well with all of us... I looked between the boys, all of us sharing the look. That we needed to find this spirit and fast...

............................................

Dean, Sam and Susan had ran off to the playroom, as I searched around, but something was drawing me to the pool area, it was like an connection or an invisible rope being pulled, luring me there.

I came to the back door of the pool area, I pushed open the door and entered, and began to look around. I took some steps down that lead out to the pool side. Once I entered the main part of the building, the pool was huge, it was so big and encased. My eyes casted above to see Tyler hanging on the ledge of the balcony above the pool. With this 'Maggie' kid beside her, like they were both going to jump.

"Tyler! Don't!" I yelled at her as I came forward, but as I stepped around the edge of the pool towards her. Maggie locks eyes with me and I was suddenly flown back across the pool, gaining air time for a few seconds, before crashing down at the other side.

I groan in pain as the air was knocked out of me, but I stood quickly as my healing was fast. "Is that the best you can do," I state towards Maggie with a cock of my eyebrows. I blinked for a second and Maggie appeared right in front of me, her eyes holding evil.

I was trying to stall her from killing Tyler until the boys get here. Maggie plunges her hand through my chest, I could feel her hand gripping on my beating heart. I hitched my breath as pain railed through my body, making my breathing shallow and short.

"Repellere," I spoke through the pain. I blinked and Maggie disappeared and the clutching pain in my chest had gone, as I took deep breaths. My hand was over my chest as I took the oxygen I needed, but I see Tyler fall from the edge and plunged into the water, which had a full cover over it.

I took some more deep breaths, as I stood. I see Tyler struggling to come up from air, but I see Maggie pushing her down. They were at the other side of the pool, and I can hear the boys and Susan outside trying to get in.

Decision, decision, out weight to bare, tell the truth or hide away and be scared....
