Chapter Thirty-Four: Devil's Gate

The hunters geared up, with their guns and I had gotten changed into some clothes that I had left at Bobby's awhile ago. I put on the leather jacket, as we all headed out of the door, and all piling into the Impala, as we started our drive to Wyoming. It was going to take us a bit but we were going to go stop Jake from doing whatever he was doing...

The whole car ride to Wyoming was long, and I didn't talk to Sam or Dean. This whole thing has had me shaken, Dean was giving up his life for Sam, like his father did for him. Why are all the Winchester men so stubborn, but I guess family is all they have...

I began to fall asleep in the back, Bobby and Ellen had taken Bobby's truck. So, there was enough space for me to sleep, as we continued to drive to the place we needed to go. I could have a few hours... My senses dulled, blackness surrounded my vision and soon enough, I was under...

************

I stood in an open field, wild flowers surrounded me, as I took a deep breath, smelling the fresh air and the flowers that were in the wind. I felt peace, as this what peace would be like for me. The sun was setting, but it hasn't fully, and the sky danced with beautiful colours, just as a summer breeze pasted me.

"Hello, Ann," a deep voice pulled me from my thoughts as I whipped round to see Azazel staring at me with those yellow-eyes he has. The patch of flowers around him had died and turned black like coal. "Letting your guard down," he smirks wickedly.

"You're only here, because I allow it," I snapped back at him, as it was true, but his face twisted into surprise, but held the smirk. "The prophecy you spoke at the hospital, this is it, isn't it?" I had been thinking about it a lot recently, ever since that night really, but I could sort of feel it.

"Who knows. It's all on them," Azazel replies as his smirks dims, but it was still there in the corner of his lips.

"Two siblings shall bring an age of justice, and the return of monsters..." I recite the last verse that he had spoken to me. "It's about Sam and Dean," that I was sure of, two brothers that fight monsters and deal justice to them. It was clear...

"You know them better than I. You also knew their parents, wasn't John a--" Before he could finish that sentence, I put my hand into a fist and raised it up as he suddenly begins to choke on air, as he claws at his neck.

"I still have the floor," I said cockily, as he stares at me with devil eyes, but he didn't scare me. "And we're not here to talk about my past," I had dropped my hand as he falls to the ground, catching his breath.

"There's a lot about your past that you don't want the boys to know. How you live your life away from people, how you surround yourself in your books," Azazel began, as he stood from the black patch of flowers, staring directly into my eyes. "But deep down, you crave the one thing you fear the most in your eternal life..." Azazel paused as my eyes were fixed upon him. "Love,"

I waved my hand at him angrily, and he suddenly vanishes where he stood, as the flowers where he stood had grown life once again, and matched the surroundings. I hate to admit it but he was right, I did fear loving someone, because everyone would eventually die...

My eyes opened slowly, as I came out of my dream, and funny enough, we were just pulling up to a hidden spot near the cemetery. It was time to do this, and get this over with. Prophecies were iffy with their meanings, and though I heard the prophecy I had no idea what it meant...

Until now...

We all piled out of the car, as we see Bobby and Ellen, getting out of the truck. Each one of them cocks their guns back, ready to shoot if need-be. I hadn't brought a gun with me as I don't like using them, as I have my magic and my strength.

One by one we crept through the small part of the woods, where the cars hide, and into the cemetery, and we all positioned ourselves behind tomb stones, large enough for us to be concealed. I didn't get enough time to examine the place, but it was giving off a vibe, that I couldn't shake. I had hid behind one next to Sam's, as the rest was at the other side of the cemetery.

After a few moments, we heard the cemetery gates open and we knew it was time. We waited as Jake had passed, his footsteps were quite heavy, as we hid like ninjas.  Out of the corner of my eye, I see Jake pass where Dean was hiding, and go to the large crypt at the top of the cemetery.

Sam and I crept forward, coming up behind Jake. "Howdy, Jake," Sam states, as he holds his gun up towards him as he turns to see us. Bobby, Ellen and Dean, appear out behind from their hiding spots, and held their guns, aimed at Jake, creeping towards him.

"Wait... You were dead. I killed you," Jake sounded sure, and it was true, he did die.

"Yeah? Well next time, finish the job," Sam replied, his voice laced with cockiness.

"I did!" Jake raised his voice at him. "I cut clean through your spinal cord, man," I see Sam shift his eyes over to Dean, who jut lowers them briefly. "You can't be alive. You can't be," well that went to shit really quickly, but we weren't here for this.

"Okay, just take it real easy there, son," Bobby states his voice clam.

"And if I don't?" Jake replied, his gaze moving to Bobby as he was acting tough.

"Wait and see," Sam raised his voice at Jake, making his turn his gaze back to him.

"What, you a tough guy all of a sudden? What are you gonna do--kill me?" Jake was testing Sam, as he wouldn't kill coldly like that.

"It's a thought," Sam bit back at him.

"You have your chance. You couldn't,"

"I won't make that mistake twice," Sam states to Jake, as somehow I believed him, and it kind of scary to know that.

Jake begins to laugh, but it wasn't a funny love, it was a mocking one, but turns into a smile.

"What are you smiling at, you little bitch?" Dean states, as he had enough of Jake taking the piss right now.

"Hey lady, do me a favour," Jake states his eyes flickering to Ellen, as she met his eyes. But I see a glow in his eyes for a brief moment before it was gone. "Put that gun to your head," I turn to look at Ellen, who begins to shakily move the gun from pointing at Jake to the side of her temple. Jake cracks a smile, as his eyes went back to Sam. "See that Ava girl was right. Once you give in to it, there's all sorts of new Jedi mind tricks you can learn," Really referencing Star Wars...

"Let her go," I spoke strongly to Jake.

"Shoot him," Ellen spoke, but her voice was trembling as she was fighting to get her movement back.

"You'll be mopping up skull before you get a shot off," Jake states. Who said anything about shooting him, I'll rip his head from his shoulders if I have too. "Everybody, put your guns down," Jake commanded, and if they didn't Ellen would be dead. "Except you, sweetheart," Bobby was the first to crack and lower his gun before dropping it to the ground. Then Dean does the same, before Jake's eyes went over to Sam, who was standing strong with his gun. But he caved in, and held his hands up, before dropping the gun to the ground. "Okay. Thank you,"

Jake quickly turns to the crept door, as I rushed over to Ellen, as Dean and Bobby had the same idea. They grabbed her and Dean pulls the gun away from her head just as it fires off, but then I heard four shots shoot through the night, and a intake of blood had entered my nostrils. I turn and see Jake fall to the ground, and Sam walks over to him, and looks down at him.

My eyes were just focused on Sam, the hate in his eyes, the coldness. Suddenly, three shots went off, and right into Jake's chest, making blood splatter onto Sam's face. But I had no time to deal with Sam at this moment, something dark was raising and it was emitting from the crept. I walk past Sam, giving him a side glance before coming to stop in front of the door. I see two separate engravings spin in different directions.

But it suddenly stops in, both engraving had made a symbol and it was what I feared. A Devil's gate. "Oh, crap," I felt Bobby and Ellen behind me.

"Gabby, what is it?" Ellen had asked, as she and Bobby looked at the symbol on the door.

"It's hell," Bobby states before I could get a word in. Dean comes forward and pulls out the Colt. "Take cover, now!" Bobby yells, as he grabs Ellen and rushes away from the door, as Dean, Sam and I run. Dean jumps over a tomb and rolls, as Sam takes my hand, and pulls me to the side, we both went to the ground, as we hid behind the tomb stone. Sam had hovered his body over me, to shield me from whatever what was coming...

A shock wave erupted from the gate, as large black mass of demon smoke, covered the us, before it flies up wards, I could feel the Devil's trap be broken with the mass amount of energy that was just generated form the blast.

We were in the endgame now...
