~Flashback~

"Isaiah and René get down here, dinner is ready." I heard my mother say. "Ok mom, we will be down in a few minutes." I said in return.

I turn towards Isaiah who was sitting across from me on my bed playing on my tablet. "Hey let's go eat, I think mom made your favorite tonight." I said.

"Alright I'm coming but can I steal one of your hoodies?" He asked."Sure I'll wait for you downstairs, just don't take too long because I'm starving." I said.

After I said that, he burst out laughing and I just gave him a weird look. Once he finally was able to stop, he said, "When aren't you hungry." I swear I'm going to kill this idiot I thought.

"Really Isaiah?" I arched my eyebrow at him. "If your trying to insult me, your going to have to try harder than that. That's not even considered an insult anymore since you say it so often." I said.

After I said that I left and went into the kitchen. "Mmm that smells good mom, what did you make?" I said. "I know it's good, and I made Isaiah's favorite since he's over today." She said.

I knew it, Isaiah is going to be so happy I thought to myself. "Speaking of which, where is Isaiah? I thought he came down with you." She said.

"I don't know actually, he said he was just going to take one of my hoodies and then come down." I said. "Well we all can't eat until he's here." She said.

Ugh what's taking him so long, I'm hungry I thought. I swear I'm going to strangle this kid. If he doesn't come down in the next 5 minutes I really will.

I bet he's even taking his sweet time to choose one. My thoughts were interrupted when I heard footsteps coming down the stairs.

"Who are you guys taking about?" He said. "You, so hurry up and come sit down." I said. "I know I'm special, but no need to praise me." He said.

"Don't flatter yourself because you aren't idiot." I said to him. "Alright alright no more bickering. Now who's ready to eat?" Mom said. "Me!" Both Isaiah and I said.

Once everything was set on the table, we all began to eat. Mom had asked us about how our day was and what new gossip we had from school. We had a lot of things to spill, so we talked and just enjoyed our company together.

~Flashback over~

Those are the kind of moments I cherish and miss so dearly. I don't even remember how our relationship went down hill. If we were so close, then why did this happen.

I was snapped out of my thoughts when mom waved her hand in front of my face. "You ok kiddo?" She asked. "Yes just a little headache, that's all." I said.

"Alright, why don't you go and take some medicine." She said. "Ok I will, thanks mom." I said. As I was about to make my way up the stairs I heard her call me.

"Oh, and honey." She said. "Yes mom?" I asked. "Don't take to long or you will be late for school." She said. "Of course, I'll be down in a few minutes." I said.
