Chapter 1
Chapter written by: MoonBunny1419
It's most likely that you would see Mystics fighting outside of your home and it would be called 'normal.' Heather and Mason have to live that life in the Mystic world. They're both young teenagers trying to live a normal life.
Everyday of their life, Mystics have to stay indoors, and never outside. Their parents were always protective about them so when they wanted to eat, they went outside themselves to find food.
Heather was always the artistic girl, wanting to go outside so that she could paint the scenery.
Mason was always the sporty boy, wanting to go outside to plays sports like the rest of the boys did.
This is how their lives got turned upside down.
"I can't keep up with this, Tania. It's either us or the kids." A strained voice yelled.
Heather opened her eyes, she was never asleep in the first place. Since Heather and Mason slept in the same room, Heather got out of her bed, turned on one of the lamps, and walked over to Mason.
"Dude, wake up. Mom and dad are fighting again." She whispered. Mason was still snoring away. "Fine, if this is was it takes." She muttered before slapping him.
Mason's eyes opened wider than anytime before. "HEATHER WH-" He started to yell but Heather gestured the 'shh.' to him.
He was still confused. "Oliver, you can't take the kids away from me. They're my children too." Another voice called.
Mason sighed. "We can sleep it off like we always do." His eyes started to droop.
Heather rolled her eyes and murmured. "What an idiot." She started to move from his bed to her own bed, just as she did that Mason stood up from his bed and walked over to the door. He put his ear to the door and listened.
"Fine, we'll take one kid each, if you don't want me to take both. I will take Mason, and you will take Heather. That way it would put both of us in misery." His father explained.
Mason felt like he was a bird, slamming into a window he couldn't see.
In short words, he felt sick to his stomach.
"Hey, Mason, you okay bro. You look like you're about to cry." Heather whispered.
He couldn't respond immediately, he was sitting on there on the ground, ear to the wall and so close to bursting out in tears. Mason gathered his words, and cried. " T-They're preparing to separate. They're going to separate us too."
