Anti sprinted down the alleyway with Marvin in his arms. He could feel his heart beating against his chest rapidly as he breathed heavily. Marvin winced at the excruciating pain in his shoulder, wrapping his pale fingers around the gunshot wound that was there. He slowly glanced behind Anti, his light blue eyes widening at the red and blue flashing lights that were approaching the entrance of the alleyway.
"A-Andrew..," Marvin's hoarse voice croaked. "Th-They're behind us." Anti tensed when Marvin said this, his different colored eyes scanning the area. His eyes landed on a group of trash cans that were nearby He hurried over, moving a few of the cans with his foot before gently setting Marvin on the cold ground. He moved Marvin so that his back was touching the wall. Anti cupped Marvin's face, locking eyes with his little brother.
"Stay here," Anti whispered before pressing his lips against Marvin's temples. Marvin looked at Anti with a look of fear. "W-Wait, what are you doing..?" He whispered as he saw tears brim Anti's eyes. Anti ignored the question, standing and quickly moving the trash cans back into place. tears swam in Marvin's eyes as he watched Anti turn on his heel, darting off as the officers grew near. Marvin felt his warm tears stream down his face, cupping his mouth to hold in his sobs. He froze as he heard the rapid footsteps of the police officers, watching them pass by through a crack between the trash cans. He ignored the pain in his shoulder, for the pain in his heart was far worse. He had lost the only person he loved. His big brother, his protector, his best friend. Marvin was alone with nowhere to go to.
