Chapter Nine

"This entire time, I thought he was dead," Marvin spoke shakily, looking over at Eriksen – Dr.Iplier. "I–I don't know what to do..I don't know how to find him." Erik nodded slightly, leaning back a bit I  his seat. "Well...I'd say the best bet is to just keep an eye out" he responded. "He's more than likely looking for you. Like you said, you were each other's back bone. I feel like he's searching for you right now." Marvin slowly nodded, leaning forward in his seat and resting his elbows on his knees.

Marvin looked himself in the mirror, eyes glancing over his appearance. His wavy, pale green hair was pulled back into a small ponytail, a pale purple half-sleeve hugging his feminine figure nicely. He also wore a pair of black leggings, as well as light blue socks. A huff left his light pink lips, locking eyes with himself as he leaned forward and gripped the bathroom counter. So many thoughts ran through his head regarding his brother, whom was now on the run. Fear coursed through his body. What if Anti was captured again? What if he lost his brother before he could even get him back? Why is this so frustrating? This is dad's fault. If it weren't for him, Anti and I wouldn't have become who we are. Why is this happening? Why us? Why me? Why–

A knock filled Marvin's ears, immediately snapping him out of his trance-like state. He blinked a couple of times, looking himself in the mirror again. He didn't even feel that he had began to cry, his glowing blue tears having streamed down his face. "Marvin?" Host's voice called, Marvin quickly reaching up and wiping his face with his palms. "Are you okay?" He asked, Marvin wiping his hands on his shirt as he turned to face the door. He grabbed the know, opening it quickly before putting on a smile. He took notice of how Host seemed to be slightly startled by Marvin's quick action. "Yeah– Yeah, I'm fine," he spoke, Host furrowing his brows slightly. He reached up, cupping Marvin's cheek slightly. "You cried," he simply said, wiping the slight glistening tear that was on Marvin's cheek with the pad of his thumb. Marvin tensed slightly due to him being caught, sighing slightly.
"Please, tell me what's wrong," Host pleaded, Marvin glancing at the ground as he gently grabbed Host's wrist. "It's just...I'm...scared," Marvin responded, looking back up at Host. He couldn't necessarily lock eyes with him since he wore a cloth around his eyes. "About what exactly?" Host asked, speaking in a soft tone. He was patient with his shorter boyfriend, watching as Marvin shakily sighed. "About Andrew," he replied, bitting his lip slightly before continuing. "It's like...he's right at my finger tips, but he's not at the same time. What if he gets caught again before I can even see him?" His blue and green eyes swam with glowing blue tears again, his lip quivering slightly. "I–I can't do that again– I–I–I.."
"Darling, breathe," Host spoke softly, carefully pulling Marvin into his arms. Marvin hugged him tightly, gripping his shirt as allowed his tears to fall. He did as Host said, taking a deep breath. He slowly closed his eyes as Host rested a hand on the back of his head, using the other to rub his back. "I understand, it's terrifying," Host started, not letting go of Marvin. "The only thing we can do is just hope that we find him before they do." Marvin simply nodded, opening his eyes half way. He felt Host's lips press against the top of his head as he raised a hand, wiping one of his eyes.
"How about I go make lunch? And we can watch TV in our room while we eat?" Host asked, looking down at Marvin. He looked back up at him, a tiny smile forming on his lips as he nodded. "That sounds nice," Marvin admitted, earning a smile from Host.

Anti stared up at the ceiling as he reached up, pulling the lit cigarette from his lips. He let out a sigh, a dark gray cloud of smoke leaving his mouth. He slowly blinked, feeling the bed shift at the sudden weight on it. He looked over, seeing Dark lay down on his side that faced Anti. "You look like you've got something on your mind," he hummed, Anti looking back up at the ceiling. "I do," Anti replied, Dark propping his head up in his hand. "Well?" He asked, obviously wanting to know what he was thinking about. "My brother," Anti sighed, taking another puff from his cigarette. "I don't even know if he's still out there..or if he's even looking for me. Hell, what if he doesn't even remember me?" He asked, looking back at Dark with a worried expression.
"Hey, don't think like that," Dark demanded. "You went through hell and back together. If he forgot about you, then he's crazier than me and you combined." This earned a soft chuckle from Anti, flicking his cigarette over the edge of his bed. "Yeah. You got a point."
