Chapter Eleven
Marvin shuffled awkwardly in his seat, looking at the mug of hot cocoa he held in his freezing cold hands. He and Anti sat in the living room next to each other, Dark sitting on the floor across from them. His back was up against the wall, eyes glancing around every so often. It had been so long since he was in a small space with lots of people. It felt crowded to him.
"So..," Marvin said, glancing over at Anti. "So," Anti repeated, Marvin letting out a nervous giggle. "Sorry I...just don't know what to say..or how to even react," he admitted, looking over at Anti. "I...thought you were dead this entire time. And now you're here so it's all just like everything went 'woosh!' Yknow?" Anti giggled as he took a sip of his coffee, nodding. "I get what you mean. I felt the same way." Marvin nodded slightly, looking back down. "So? What's life been like for you?" Anti asked, resting his chin in his palm. "Shitty? Better?"
"Honestly? Pretty rough," Marvin replied. "It's not like I can go to therapy since I'm a wanted criminal. I've mostly had to lay low qith everyone," he continued, nodding his head towards the kitchen. The others were in there, either cooking food or chatting. Anti nodded slightly, looking around. "This place looks so small outside, but it's fuckin' huge," he stated, earning a giggle from Marvin. "Yeah, well..we're kinda planning on aiming for a mansion. Maybe kill a rich couple or something," Marvin hummed, sipping his chocolate beverage. "There'd be more room for everything that way, plus more rooms in general. That way we can have a torture room or something."
Dark continued to watch as Anti and Marvin spoke, hugging himself. He felt out of place. Like he shouldn't be there. But Anti insisted he didn't mind he stay in the room. Even if Dark wanted, he couldn't even get himself to get up and go socialize with the others. He didn't know how to start a conversations or anything. It was like being trapped in a room for so long had caused him to loose all of his ability to interact with others. He suddenly felt a presence beside him, causing him to look up. Next to him stood a male, whom wore a happy and sweet smile on his face. He had black hair and square wired glasses. His clothing consisted of a light gray t-shirt and a blue jacket, as well as a pair of black pants. He held two water bottles. "Hi," he said gleefully, pressing his back against the wall before sliding down it. Dark was honestly surprised that anyone would want to talk to him. "Hi," he replied softly, the male looking back at him. He handed him one of the bottles, his smile never leaving. "I noticed you didn't grab anything to drink. I didn't want you to get thirsty," he simply said, Dark slowly nodding before hesitantly taking it. "Thank," he replied, earning a hum from the jolly male. "You're Damien, right?" He asked, Dark looking at his bottle as he opened it. "Yeah, but I'd prefer if you called me Dark," he said, earning another nod from the man.
"Google," he hummed, Dark nodding slightly as he took a sip of his water. He hadn't noticed until that point thatche was actually pretty thirsty. Google tapped his water bottle slightly, looking at Dark again. "I like the way you dyed your hair," he commented, Dark looking back at him. "Oh– thanks," he replied, smiling slightly. "I thought I did a pretty shifty job on it." Google shook his head slightly, continuing to look atcit. "If you want, I could try and get Wilford to help you dye hair."
"I heard my name!~" Wilford announced, peaking his head out of the kitchen. "Or is it the voices of my dead victims haunting me?" He asked, earning a small laugh from Google. "I mean, which would you prefer it to be?" He asked as Wilford walked over. "Well definitely not the first one, I'll tell you that," Wiflord replied, putting his hands on his hips. Wilford's the ultimate sass queen in this bitch. Now it was Dark's turn to laugh a little, taking another sip of his water. "I was just telling Dark how I could probably get you to help him dye hair," Google said, Dark glancing over at Wilford. Wilford obviously loved the color pink, for he had dyed his hair and mustache that color. Not only that, but he wore a pink longsleeve that was slightly cropped, as well as a baggy pair of pale blue jeans. He gasped, looking at Dark. "Yeah! I'd love to," he said happily, Dark blinking. Why was he so shock at how nicely everyone was treating him? He simply nodded, giving a weak smile.
Anti sighed slightly throwing himself back in the guest bed. Bīng and Chase had cleared up the room for him and Dark, which Anti was very grateful for. "Wow...today was crazy," he mumbled, loud enough for Dark to hear. "You're tellin' me...everyone was being so nice. It was so weird," Dark replied, pulling his black longsleeve off. Anti furrowed his brows, sitting up slightly to see Dark. "Why is that weird?" He asked, Dark looking over after he grabbed a white shirt. " 'Cause...you were literally the only person up until this point that treated me like an actual person. It's...odd," he responded, pulling the shirt over his head. Anti frowned slightly, really beginning to see just how much damage those seven years did. "It's not a bad thing thought. Just needs some getting used to," Dark continued, walking over to the bed after shutting the lights off. Anti nodded slightly, opening his arms as a way to say 'Cuddle me'. Dark noticed, laying next to Anti and snuggling up to him. Anti wrapped his arms around Dark, nuzzling him slightly. He looked at Dark, whom had shut his eyes already. "I'm getting taller than you," he commented, Dark opening his eyes just to roll them. "You just noticed?"
"No. But I figured I'd rub it in your face," Anti responded with a giggle, Dark scoffing slightly. "Asshole," he muttered, Anti giggling again as he nuzzled Dark. "Yeah yeah. I love you, short stack," he hummed, earning a quiet "I love you, too" before drifting off to sleep.
