Later on in the night, at around 10:30, Jaehee went out to a nearby convenience store to buy a bit more dry cat food as she was running out. The cat food was quite heavy, as it was in two large bags that even someone as strong as Jaehee had trouble carrying. It wasn't helping that her arm was injured. The cut seemed to feel as if it were being torn into with Elizabeth's sharp claws all over again each time Jaehee moved her arm.
"Need some help?"
Jaehee turned around, seeing a figure walking over to her with a dark jeans and a black hoodie on, the hood covering their face. Jaehee tensed up, uneasy, her heart beating faster and faster. She couldn't muster up any words to speak. The figure chuckled, and judging by his deep voice and laugh it was definitely a male. "Here, let me help you." He reached out to her bags, and Jaehee pulled away. "N-No thank you, I've got them. Thank you for offering." Jaehee quickly stammered out as she headed for her car. She felt someone snatch her bags from her hands and she gasped, turning. She was about to say something to the man when he cut her off. "So... which ones your car?" He asked. He refused to make eye contact with her, but Jaehee could tell he had red eyes. He had white hair too, and reminded her of Zen, but he was much taller and skinnier, and his face was much rounder then Zen's. Not to mention his deep voice. Jaehee concluded that by his build and facial features he couldn't be much older then seventeen, despite the depth in his voice.
Jaehee wasn't someone to let her guard down, and she felt uneasy around the man. "I said that I could take them." She said in a stern tone. She reached for the bags and the man grabbed her arm. Jaehee was about to counter attack when the man brushed his thumb gently over the scar her boss's cat had left. "You own a pet?" He asked, looking up at her finally. He smiled. His smile reminded her of the Cheshire Cat, but it had a more perverted feel. "Or perhaps it's your friend... or boss's." Jaehee went pale and pulled away from the mans grasp. She tightened her sweater around her waist and she didn't dare give the man an answer.
Her shirt was very low cut, but the man didn't even stare once. Maybe he really was just trying to help with her groceries but wasn't good at small talk. "My car is over there." Jaehee finally said, pointing it out. The man nodded and went it the direction she had pointed. She followed close behind him, but he began to slow down so she was in front of him. Jaehee, for once glad her boss forced her to wear glasses, pretended as if they were dirty and cleaned them in the hanging sleeve of her sweater, pointing the lenses at one of the parking lot lights so it would glint and give her a reflection of the man. He was staring right into the lenses, and his eyes darkened.
"Nice try." He said. Jaehee quickly put the glasses back onto her face and quickened her pace. Since it was late there weren't many car in the parking lot, only three or four. Jaehee stopped at a car that wasn't hers. "I can make it from here, thank you." She said. The man looked around the parking lot, looked back at her, and smirked. He was very relaxed in all of his movements. "Alright." He gave up, handing her the bags. Jaehee instantly felt pain shoot up through her wrist as she took the bags back cautiously. Thanking the man once again, she began to walk towards her actual car, afraid to look back.
"Oh, and Jaehee?"
The man called out to her and Jaehee felt a shiver go up her spine as she turned. The man was still smiling at her, but then he tilted his head so his face was masked by his hood. Jaehee's heartbeat began to quicken. She never told the man her name.
The man held up Jaehee's car keys. "You forgot these." He called after her. Jaehee felt her palms begin to sweat. She quickly made her way back over to him, but kept her distance as she took her keys and turned on her heel. She literally ran to her car and threw the bags in the back of her vehicle, and as soon as she was inside her car she locked all the doors and began to panic. She started the car, and with her hands shaking she backed out of the parking space. The man was nowhere to be seen as she drove out.
She was still panicking, and at red lights she would look to her back seat, half expecting the man to be there with a gun pointed at her, waiting for his deep voice to demand her for something. She suddenly realized how slyly the man took her keys which she knew she had put in her back pocket, and she reached back to make sure her wallet was still there. It was. She opened it to make sure no money was stolen.
HONK! Jaehee jumped as the car behind her honked at her in annoyance. Jaehee embarrassedly began to drive; she hadn't seen the light turn green. At the least the man hadn't taken anything else off of her.
As Jaehee turned on the street that her apartment was located on, she noticed that a car had been following her quite a ways. She couldn't see the driver as the windows were tinted black and it almost looked like there was no driver at all. Jaehee decided to make a full circle around her block, and sure enough the driver was following her. She began to panic again, almost certain it was the same man who "helped" her with her bags. Jaehee picked up the phone and dialled her boss, continuing to do nervous circles around her block.
"Assistant Kang, how is your wrist?" Jumin asked as soon as he answered. Jaehee ignored his question.
"Where are you? Are you home?" She asked him, checking her rear view mirror constantly.
"Um... no, I'm not. I'm at the office. Is everything alright? You sound absolutely terrified." Jumin asked her. He sounded genuinely worried. Jaehee let out a shaky breath.
"N-Nevermind. Call me back in half an hour and if I do not answer my phone, call the police." Jaehee instructed.
"W-What?! Jaehee, what the hell is going on?! Are you in dange-" Before Jumin could complete his sentence Jaehee hung up.
She shoved her phone into her pocket, then thought it over once again and shoved it into her bra. She drove into her apartment building and went into the underground parking unit. The other car followed her in. There weren't many other cars there, just like the parking lot at the convenience store there were only three or four that were completely empty, although the parking lot outside was packed. Jaehee got out of her car, not even taking the bags with her. She left her purse on the floor of the car and only took out her apartment key which she also shoved into her bra. The other car parked right next to her, almost running over her foot. She leaned over and tried to peer in at the driver but the windows were tinted way too dark. Jaehee leaned in even closer, and then she was able to make out two glowing red eyes.
She began to panic and fell backwards against her car. The other cars door opened and Jaehee made a run for the stairs. The underground parking lot was basically empty, and she heard every single one of her footsteps echo through the building. The only problem was they weren't the only pair of loud running footsteps.
When she made it to the stair case, there was a "caution when wet" sign placed in front of them and the remanence of cherry soda dripping down the steps. Jaehee quickly backtracked to the elevator and pressed the down arrow repeatedly. She started crying, muttering "please please please" between shaky breaths. She heard someone running up behind her still and a man huffing, somewhat out of breath. The elevator dinged and the doors opened. Jaehee made her way in before they had fully opened and pressed her floor and repeatedly clicked the close door option. She looked out at the parking lot, fear controlling her every action.
The man was out there, running, full speed towards the elevator and Jaehee. "Please!" Jaehee yelled, pressing the close door button. The elevator dinged again and the doors began to close. The man was right there, placing his hand to the door when Jaehee kicked him as hard as she could in the stomach. "Stay away!" She yelled at him, crying uncontrollably. The elevator doors closed completely and Jaehee dropped to her knees, out of breath. She pressed her hand to the doors, almost like she was trying to keep them closed. The elevator kept going up, when she suddenly realized her mistake; the man would now know her floor.
She scrambled to her feet and quickly pressed the button to three floors above her so the man would assume she lived on a completely different floor. She stepped back and leaned against the elevator wall, listening as calm Jazz music played. She shut her eyes tight and took multiple deep breaths to try and calm her nerves. Her stomach was in knots, she felt herself gag. Her hands and her knees were shaking and it was a miracle she hadn't fallen to her feet yet.
Once the elevator opened, she left it. As soon as she stepped out and looked back up at the floor it was going to, someone had immediately asked for the elevator to go down to the underground parking lot. Jaehee took a few more deep breaths, watching as the seventh floor was selected. She smiled to herself, satisfied. She walked down the stairs, making sure her footsteps were near impossible to hear. Once she made it to her floor, she opened her door and quickly shut it behind her, locking it. She let out a nervous laugh to herself and pulled out her phone, ready to call her boss and let him know that she was fine.
As soon as she was about to call him, she heard three knocks on her door; one quiet, one normal, and one that had obviously been a fist pounding against the door with all of someones strength. Her breath hitched at the back of her throat and she felt pure fear coursing through her veins as she heard "You didn't think I was that stupid, did you?" In a low voice from behind her door followed by a deep chuckle. Jaehee tried her hardest to not scream, to not even breathe, when she heard the most threatening noise a door could make.
*click*
Someone unlocked it from the other side.

Jumin hung up his phone, pulling on his jacket. He had called the police and given them as much information as they would need in case his assistant got hurt, including asking them to go to her apartment. He began to call Jaehee's cell number as he made his way downstairs and out of C & R, over to Driver Kim's car and instructing him to drive to Jaehee's house as fast as possible. "Pick up, pick up, pick up." He muttered into the phone, begging for his assistant to pick up the phone. She didn't answer and Jumin felt stomach sick as he swore under his breath. He tried calling her again but she still didn't pick up. He thought of the worst that could happen to her, which didn't help his situation much.
When she hung up, was that her or someone else? Was someone trying to stop her from calling anyone? Am I... am I too late? As soon as Jumin arrived to Jaehee's apartment, he checked the underground parking lot to look for her vehicle. He found it and looked in. There were bags of cat food fallen out of plastic bags in the back and in the front her purse was knocked over with some of her belongings on the floor. Jumin didn't recognize the car next to her, and it's door was still open. Since he couldn't see through the tinted windows, he looked in through the opened door.
Bags, tuck tape, an empty syringe and a bottle of clear liquid. Ketamine. Someone had already used some in a large dose, around the size of the syringe. Jumin pulled out his phone and took a picture of the license plate and the inside of the car. He then ran to the elevator, noticing the stairs were out of order. He pressed the button for his assistants floor. As he waited, he felt anxiety building up in his chest. What was he going to find here he got up to the floor? If she was dead... Jumin wouldn't be able to live with himself. He shook the thought from his head, although it still lingered eerily in the back of his mind. The lights in the elevator flickered, which didn't help Jumin in the slightest. As soon as the doors opened, he heard the sound of a door being banged against repeatedly. He looked down the hall where he seen his assistants door being attacked by a man who was pushing against it with all his force, and he was holding something in his hand. Jumin ran down the hall as fast as he could, but he was too late.
The door flung open and Jumin heard his assistant scream. Something shattered and he burst in, smashing the intruder up against the wall. For a second he thought it was Zen, but as his hood fell down all the way it revealed much shorter white hair with brown roots. His hair wasn't natural, it was dyed. He grabbed the man by his wrists, pinning him against the wall. He wasn't holding anything anymore and he went pale, struggling against Jumin's grasp. He wasn't even a man, he was just a boy. He was tall, taller then Jaehee, but Jumin towered over him in comparison. "L-Let go!" He cried out, seemingly scared. He must have been scared of getting caught, or scared of jail. Maybe both.
Jumin turned to see his assistant face down on the ground, her head tilted slightly to the side and her glasses laying near her, one of the lenses completely shattered. Jumin felt his heart drop as he realized that she wasn't moving, and it didn't look like she was breathing either.
Jumin, not thinking straight, quickly let go of the boys arms, who pulled up his hood and ran out of Jaehee's apartment. Jumin dropped down next to his assistant and rolled her over onto her back. Her body was limp, like some sort of rag doll. He shook her gently, then slightly more rough. "Jaehee, come on now!" He said, shaking her again. There was a syringe laying next to her, filled a little under halfway with the same stuff that was in the guys car. Ketamine. Jumin felt sick to his stomach. Jaehee was strong, but she was a girl of a small build. A dose any larger then that and the boy could have overdosed her. Hell, there was a chance that he still had.
Jumin paid close attention to his assistants chest, watching it rise and fall. He checked over the syringe again. It was small so maybe his assistant would be fine, but he wasn't so sure. He heard footsteps and a couple of officers made their way into the apartment. He explained the situation, gave as best of a description of the boy that he could, and showed them the pictures on his phone. Jumin's photography skills were absolutely dreadful, but the officers could still make out the license plate by some miracle. Jumin explained that the drug was Ketamine and one of the officers, clearly medically skilled, examined Jaehee and concluded she was just unconscious and she should be fine. Jumin explained how she was his assistant and she had called him earlier and was acting strange, as if she were in danger. She was. The officers said that it would be best she stayed with family or a friend, and Jumin explained how Jaehee didn't have any relatives who cared for her wellbeing and that he would be comfortable taking her home with him. The officers were slightly hesitant but upon a bit more pressuring they allowed Jumin to take her with him. He thanked them as they left and brought his assistant back to his place, locking her door for her so she wouldn't be paranoid.
In the car, Jaehee's eyes opened slightly. Jumin looked over at her. She wasn't fully awake and her eyes were glossy, like something out of The Walking Dead. She was obviously completely out of it, drugged and confused. Jumin wouldn't admit it out loud, but her vulnerability to everything around her scared yet turned him on in a way. He shook away the thought and wrapped his arm around her shoulders, protectively holding her to his chest. She was shaking slightly and her face was completely pale. She groaned, having no energy whatsoever. She muttered something inaudible to Jumin, so he just shushed her and stroked her hair, keeping her in a calm state of mind as they drove home.
