AN: IM BACK!!! IM WRITING AGAIN!! WOOOOOO

Also, lemme rant here.

I MADE THIS DAMN CHAPTER EIGHT DIFFERENT TIMES, EIGHT!!! AND EACH TIME WATTPAD CRASHED. I LOST ALL 3000 WORDS, EACH TIME!! FOR FUCKS SAKE IF THIS DOESNT WORK, SOMEONES GONNA DIE AND ITS GONNA BE LONG, SLOW AND PAINFULLLLLLLL

Please for the love of God 707 let this WORKKK UGHHHH

Jaehee was sent back to her office shortly after meeting Vince, seeing as Jumin had to show him around. She sometimes would hear the two walking down the halls as Jumin explained certain things to the new kid. Jaehee had to admit he seemed attractive, when it came to both his personality and his looks. She shook her head. Stop thinking about him like that Jaehee, this is just what you did with Mr. Han and he never turned out the way you thought he would either, so... She tapped her pen against her forehead and reread her notes.

When she first started working for C & R International, Jaehee had the biggest crush on her boss. She would try to get him to notice her but little by little she found that he was hard to please. She never experienced love before, as her childhood with her mom was a blur and the one she had with her aunt and uncle was a complete nightmare. She thought that if Jumin could like her, even just the smallest bit, she could feel love as others could feel love. But the more she acted like she was in love with him, the more her boss would shoo her away and keep her farther from him. Jaehee's crush faded away into nothing and she began to think less and less of her boss as time went on. Sure, she thought he was a powerful and smart person, but when it came to her having a relationship with the businessman it caused her to laugh. She felt ridiculous that she ever thought that of him and began to stop flirting and focus on work only. Her boss became just that — her boss. Another human being trapped in the cycle of society.

Jumin thought much more of Jaehee then what Jaehee did of him. He noticed her flirting and began to wonder if his close childhood friend Jihyun, better known as V, appointed him to a flirty assistant who just wanted money and unspeakable things from him. But as the year went by his assistant changed to the point where she stopped flirting whenever she walked into his office and instead just did her work properly. For some reason, it ticked him off that his assistant stopped flirting with him. To him it seemed like as if she felt as though she was better then him, too good to be with someone of his nature. "Assistant Kang," Jumin asked his assistant one day while she was filing some papers. "Mhmm?" She replied, silently counting numbers as her fingers flicked each page with rapid speed. "You're acting different." He said. Jaehee stopped counting the pages. "What do you mean?" She asked, her head cocked to the side. Jumin sighed, fixing the cuff of his sleeve. "I mean, you used to be... I don't know... you were-" "Desperate?" Jaehee asked with a smile. Jumin nodded. "Yeah. You were always wanting my attention." Jaehee shook her head, putting away the papers and gently pressing closed the filing cabinet. She started to nervously intertwine her fingers as a distraction. "I was... confused, I guess. Confused and naive. I was looking for attention. My childhood wasn't the best so I began to look for love in other places. You were just in the wrong place at the wrong time and became my... well, my obsession." Jaehee nervously pulled a piece of hair behind her ear. "I've realized my mistakes and I apologize for all those ridiculous things I did." She said, bowing slightly. Jumin smiled. "It's fine. You seemed more like a little sister, nagging me with such things." Jumin lied. Jaehee seemed less tense when he said that and even let out a small laugh. Jumin continued to go through his day, but for some reason he just couldn't get his assistant off his mind.

"Are you okay? Mr. Han?" Jumin shook his head, snapping back to reality. He turned to Vince who seemed kind of worried for him. "What?" Jumin asked, confused. "You blanked out for a second," Vince explained, looking relieved that his new boss was functioning again. "You were totally out of it." Jumin shook his head. "Thinking too much, I guess...." He trailed off. He'd never had a flashback before. Of course he would sometimes remember things from the past, but not to the extent where he would stop communicating to another person. This was new to him.

"Let's continue." Jumin said, motioning with his hand to the corridor ahead of them. It was the last one he had to show to Vince. Vince nodded. "Lets."

When Jaehee got back to her apartment, she was barely able to keep herself standing long enough to take off her shoes. She was so tired, she thought she was going to pass out. Before she could even begin to try and take a nap before she started working again, her phone rang. She groaned, shoving her face into her pillow. "If it's Mr. Han I swear to god I'm going to..." She picked up her phone. Jumin Han. "Damn it." She muttered under her breath. She answered.

"Hello, this is-"
"I know who you are." Jumin cut her off. Jaehee rolled her eyes. Rude. She thought, but there was nothing she could do about it.
"I need you to pick up Elizabeth the 3rd for a couple of hours." Jumin said. Jaehee groaned.
"Mr. Han, you can't be serious... I-I just got home! I need to rest." Jaehee pleaded.
"I can understand that. Elizabeth the 3rd is tired too. You can both rest together. She can cuddle up next to you on your bed." Jumin said. Jaehee shuddered at the thought of the feline sleeping on her bed. She shook her head.
"N-No, but please come quickly because if you don't I'm going to be asleep." Jaehee said.
"Is that a threat?" Jumin asked.
"No, no! I'm just so tired I..." Jaehee sighed. She was too tired to think straight.
"I'll be there soon." Jumin said. Jaehee nodded, forgetting the fact that Jumin couldn't see her through the phone.
"Alright. Goodbye." Jaehee said, hanging up without waiting for a response.

She went to her kitchen and opened up the cupboard farthest to the right, standing on her tiptoes so she could reach the top shelf. When she still couldn't, she took out a step stool and got on it so she could reach. This is embarrassing... She thought. She hated it when her height limited her ability to do certain tasks. She grabbed two cat bowls that were stuffed away from all of her actual cups and plates, just sitting above a few containers meant to hold sandwiches and other things. She had a fear that she wouldn't properly clean the bowls one day and crumbs of cat food would land on her plates and– Jaehee gagged just thinking about it. She placed down the bowls, forgetting entirely to fill them, and went into her bedroom. She put on a pair of black leggings and a white spaghetti string top* before laying down on the couch. Before he comes, I'll just rest my eyes. She thought to herself. She closed her eyes, but instead of just resting she fell into a deep sleep before her boss came.

Jumin rang Jaehee's doorbell for the sixth time in a row, irritated. "I know she's home..." He mumbled. He took out his spare key meant for emergencies and opened the door to the apartment. He wasn't breaking and entering, he had a key. It's not like he could be charged for it, because his assistant was awaiting his arrival, she just wasn't answering the door.

As he walked in, he looked left and right and spotted his assistant fast asleep on her couch. Jumin found himself smiling, although he didn't know why. He walked into the kitchen and let Elizabeth the 3rd down near the bowls, which were empty. He shook his head but put both water and food into the bowls for his precious little kitty. Elizabeth the 3rd purred and pushed herself against Jumin's leg as a way of showing her affection. Jumin smiled at the cat and scratched her head as she began to eat. He walked over to his assistant, ready to wake her up, but something stopped him. Usually at work she looked stressed out or pissed off, but when she was asleep... she looked content. Her brow was relaxed, the color had returned to her face, and her lips were parted ever so slightly. Jumin smiled and placed his hand on her shoulder, which was ice cold. On Jaehee's other sofa was a fuzzy grey blanket, folded over the arm of the couch. Jumin took it and pulled it over his assistant. She moaned and shuffled a little in her sleep, comforted by the sudden warmth from the blanket. Jumin smiled. He bent over and pressed his lips against his assistants forehead... then realized what he did. He quickly pulled back and began to leave, the two body guards he had with him waiting by the door.

He closed and locked Jaehee's door, walking quickly back to the elevator. "Mr. Han, did you just...?!" One of the guards began to say. Jumin rolled his eyes. "Forget that it happened." He said in a low voice, although it wasn't like anyone could hear them. "Mr. Han, having a relationship like that with your assistant could cause a scandal! You could run your father's business into the ground!" His second guard said. "I understand that, it wasn't meant to happen. I wasn't supposed to do anything, but I did. Since you're being paid, I assume you two are going to keep this a secret?" He asked his guards. They cautiously nodded in agreement. "Good." Jumin said, fixing his tie. "It never happened."

* I don't know if it's called anything else, but here we call the shirts with thin straps spaghetti strap shirts. It may be different for you, I dunno.

AN: this one is actually shorter then most chapters, but I was just trying to get something out to you guys. It was originally 3000 words but I'm pissed off havng to rewrite it again so I'll add whatever was left over into another chapter. I'm going to try as hard as I can to update as frequently as I can, but please don't be mad if I still skip a day or two. I have a bit of a life besides writing.

Also really wuick I wanted to say this—In Jaehee's route spoiler alert 🚨 when Zen is hurt Jaehee worries about him so as soon as Jaehee begins to leave C & R and all that Jumin gets himself hurt. It seems like he's jealous and wants Jaehee to take care of him, and it actually kinda works.

Anyways I love you guys 💛💛💛💛 ~TheWeeWeeaboo
