Chapter One

As I sat in my sleek black car with one window rolled down, I polished my gun as I waited for this shithead to get to the drop off spot. My job was easy, as soon as shithead one dropped the money off under the bench, retrieve bag o' money and get out of there before shithead 2 comes. No casualties if it can be avoided. As the guy nervously walked up to the bench under a blossom tree, he slid the bag under the bench and sat down.

"Shit," I whispered to myself as this was already not going according to plan. Opening the door to my car, I put my gun in the holster and hide it under my leather jacket. As I put my shades on, I fake a smile and head over to shithead 1.

"Mind if I sit?" I asked politely, flipping my long black hair in the process. He looked around concerned but shook his head, letting me sit next to him. "You know, the Makarov's are some hard core people to be dealing with, espeically with their stolen money." I placed a lollipop in my mouth and turned my head towards him, pulling down my shades a little bit. I heard him whimper and as he started quietly pleading for his life, I took out the lollipop and placed it in his open mouth. "You tell Marcos that if he wants to fuck with my money again, he can come straight to me. You tell him that he shouldn't be afraid of my brother, he should be shitting his pants knowing I'm looking for him," I whispered into his ear and kissed his cheek, leaving a ring of red lipstick on his face. Grabbing my money, I strut to my car and take off.

"Did you get the money?" Dimitri questioned, pacing by the front door. I throw the bag at his feet and he drops to the floor to count it. "You should've never dealt with Marcos in the first place. He's bad news, Danny."

"Look, I got it back. That's all that matters, right?" I rolled my eyes, feeling like a little kid. My brother was so worried over ten million. He had billions stacked in the basement and that was just a tenth of his fortune.

Turning my eyes from my brother groveling over the bag of money, I caught a glimpse of my eye candy. Walking inside the house, I caught up to Caden and tap him on the shoulder. "I got back the money!" I say in excitement to him. He rolled his eyes and kept walking over to my brother's office. "Are you just not going to comment on how quick that was or..."

"Why should you be praised about getting back something you lost in the first place?" He turned to me, hsi face dead and cold. "You tried to steal from Marcos and he got you good Danny. Now you've pissed him off even more."

Following him into the office, I closed the door behind us and crossed my arms over my chest. "Admit it, this isn't about the money."

"What else would it be about, Danielle?"

Walking closer to him, I get on my tiptoes to whisper in his ear behind his back, "This is about me kissing Marcos."

His body stiffened and he quickly turned around bending down to my level. "Why would I care about you kissing Marcos? I care about you losing ten million worth of cocaine."

I suck my teeth and begin to pace around him. "You know my brother could care less about cocaine. He's not Tony Montana. What hurt the business was that now Marcos thinks he owns me, and that makes you jealous."

"Listen, young lady," Caden tried to scold me. I scuffled and unzipped my jacket, taking it off. Underneath was just a bralette that put everything on show. He was lost in his words and started to mumble, "I, you need to... bad things can happen... he's dangerous."

"But aren't you dangerous, too" I taunted him, knowing that he couldn't hold on much longer. He nodded, his eyes never leaving my chest. "Well, maybe I like danger."

"You should really put that jacket back on, or better yet a winter coat, some layers would do you good." He looked around, trying not to entice himself anymore than he had been. Walking up to him, I reach my hand in the front pocket of his jeans, making him squirm. Finally, I pull out a lighter and his cigarette pack, taking them into my hands.

"Smoking is a nasty habit. I hate the taste of tobacco in my mouth." Zipping my jacket up, I walk off with his things and close the door behind me, leaving him stiff in all the right places.

Hunter and Liam were sitting on the couch with me watching the news when Dimitri walked in. Instantly, his face turned into a frown because I was in the middle of the boys.

Liam and Hunter were twins, absolutely inseparable. They even had to sleep in the same room unless there were girls over or they'd have nightmares. They were a year older than me, twenty-two, but they looked a little older than that. Both had light brown hair that they kept slicked back but it wasn't too long. They were the shortests of the guys, except dimitri, who was sadly 5'6".

The twins loved to piss Dimitri off because they knew he would never fire them because when they worked, they definitely got the job done. They're favorite way to tease him was to be flirty with me, which I didn't mind because living with six guys in my house, I didn't have much relationship or flirty action outside.

Liam, started rubbing my shoulders while Hunter was rubbing my feet when dimitri walked in but soon after, Hunter had me in his arms leaning my head on his chest and Liam was caressing my legs. I could see the anger fired up in Dimitri's eyes but he tried to kept his cool.

"I need the twins for a mission tonight. UN ambassador needs a terrorist in his hometown taken out. Your flight is in two hours, He announced, handing them their tickets and passports." They both frowned and finally got up, getting ready for their however long journey to a country I'm sure is in some war.

"You take away all my fun, who am I going to spend time with now?" I pouted.

"Big brother." He smiled at me, holding his arms out as he sat on the couch and we watched TV together.

"Did Marcos call yet?"

"No, what a puss. Can't even admit when he's lost."

"Next time I see him-"

"What? You'll make out with him? Jump his bones?" Dimitri heckled me. I slapped him in the chest and ran up to my room.

Draping myself over my bed like a disney princess in peril right after she gets bad news, tears streamed down my eyes. I knew what that meant to my brother and his work. I fraternized with the enemy. But it was to keep his men safe.

A soft knock on the door sounded and I told them to go away. I heard the door creak open and felt my bed shift as someone sat down. Looking up, I saw Trevor's tired face and knew he was sick of all this bullshit too. "I don't blame you for what you did, Danny."

"Really?"

"I saw the gun in his hand. He was about to shoot Cade. You did what needed to be done. They'll figure that out soon enough, too." His fingers swept through my hair like my father used to do to lull me to sleep.

Trevor was a tall thin man with a very dark complection. He was the oldest who lived here, forty-seven. He had worked with my father when he was still alive and was his right hand man. Since my dad's funeral and Dimitri taking over, he's taken a few steps back and stays out of the spotlight.

"There is nothing they wouldn't do to keep you safe, Danny. Now that Marcos is aware of your dealing with all of this, he'll come at you stronger than ever." He tries to give me a weak smile but I could see the worry in his face. He took care of us when dad was away and mom was gone. He became one of the most important men in my life, and to know that he was afraid of Marcos, honestly scared me a little. "Sleep tight, my little sheep."

"Goodnight, Trev." I smiled as he closed the door.

In the middle of the night as my small pusheen night light illuminates the 5 foot radius it promised barely, I see a figure stumbling inside. I try not to gasp, slowly and carefully reached for my gun and pointed it at the intruder. "Get on the fucking ground or I will shoot you and not in your big brain." I yelled, pointing the gun at the dark, barely visible figure. He kept moving and so I turned on my nightside light. Sighing, I put my gun down and got out of my comfy bed to help Caden stand up straight.

"Hey, Danny!" He yelled, making me shush him as to not wake anyone else in the house up.

"What are you doing in here?" I questioned him quietly, struggling to keep his muscular and heavy body upright.

He turned his head to me and smirked, "I just wanted to tell you that I owe you an apololology." He muttered, making me grimace. "You didn't do a thing wrong! It was the Marcos who did. And as for that, which he has done, and he did, I will murmur him till death do he part." He slurred. I tried my hardest to keep from laughing and just set him on the lounge chair in my room. Taking the handle of whiskey of out his hand, I set it in the trash and put a blanket over him.

His elephant snores ensued shortly after I got back in my bed and snuggled up. I really like this douchebag, don't I?
