Wednesday, September 19th

Everett walked into the cafe, she was wearing black tennis shoes, black jeans, a simple black t-shirt, and a black leather jacket. She scanned the customers of the small establishment called 'CoffeeCat' which seemed to be a play on the word 'copycat'. Sitting in a corner booth was Margarita as she waved ecstatically as Everett.

"Rett! Rett!" she called. "I'm over here."

Everett walked embarrassed to her coworker like a kid walking up to their teacher to be punished. She felt everyone's eyes in her as she finally reached the corner. "Do you have to make such a s—" Everest whispered under her breath until a few throaty coughs escaped out of her mouth. She put her hand down on the table to help her out as she felt a little weak.

"A scene?" Margarita guessed moving over so that her friend could sit next to her.

"Yes, a scene." Everest removed her hand from the round table which she used to stabilize herself from the coughing. She slowly made herself down on the other side of the booth so the two women were face to face.

"So we are having a meeting because—"

"—Because we have to talk about Kenndal!" Margarita said, slamming her hands on the table. People moved their heads towards them and Margarita seemed to sink into the cushioned seating. They soon went back to their poor conversations and Everet seemed to relax.

"No," she said monotone, but her voice was lower and had a hint of annoyance in the impassive mix. "I accepted your invitation to talk about Hillfigure. Do you have any new information about him—like his weaknesses?" Everett's face slowly became more compacted.

"Well, for one he seems to really like you, as in, as a romantic lover," Margarita cooed.

"Romantic lover?" Everett said, not thinking about Kenndal. "Why would Hillfigure see me as a—" Everett turned and stared into Margarita's eyes. "We are not talking about Kendall; stop changing the subject."

"But isn't he so cute and then he helps you in the chapel," Margarita said, interlocking her fingers together and bringing her hands to the side of her face in a lovey-dovey pose.

"How do you know what happened there anyway?" Everett said, getting distracted.

"Oh you know, there are cameras everywhere. It helps being a hacker and all," Margarita said, her elbow was on the table and her chin was being held in her hand. "You can find out a lot about someone in a day if you know their social media. To bad you don't have one, neither does the hillbillies."

"Hillbillies?"

"Hillfigure's posse," said as if that was all she needed to explain what she said. Eerett raised an eyebrow. Margarita sighed with a pout of her rose red lips. "I thought we were better friends." She sprung up and sat straight in her side of the corner booth. "Henry Hillfigure has a bunch of people working for him. He is the mafia leader and thus he has a bunch of mobsters at his disposal. They all have this weird thing for green eyes. Maybe it's because of the hill thing. You know, hill are grass and grass is green so their eyes have to match." Margarita threw her hands up and a shrug. "I don't know. What do you think?"

Everett seemed to have a headache. Maybe it was caused by Margarita's constant babbling or maybe it was something else, but Everet responded with, "You said you have access to St. Paul's Chapel's cameras? I think I can use that to my advantage."

"How exactly?" Margarita questioned.

"I'm not sure," Everett answered honestly. "I have a plan, but how do I get him to the chapel before the wedding?"

"You could seduce him."

Everett glared at Margarita. "What did I say about that?"

"No really," Margarita said. "Henry seems to like you. He looks at you. I've seen it." Everett raised an eyebrow. She didn't notice these 'looks' that Margarita we're talking about but she would use it to her advantage anyway.

"So you think Hillfigure like, likes me?" Everest asked. Margarita nodded. "I think I should go on another in person meeting with him and i'll invite him to come over to the chapel soon. I didn't think I made that much of an impression..."

Everett was about to get up before a young woman stepped up to them. She was wearing an apron that went from her chest to her knees like a sort of dress. In one of her hands was a cat and in the other, a drink. She placed the drink on the booth as gently as she could since she was holding a cat and the cat wanted to leave her grasp.

Margarita stood up so fast that his body hit the table making it shake in its place. Everett grabbed the drink before it could spill and she moved it closer to herself as if the drink was hers. Margarita must have ordered the drink and...the cat(?) before she arrived. She didn't know that this was a cat cafe, but she wasn't really paying attention to her surroundings.

Margarita thanked the young lady and sat back down with the angry cat. It didn't have claws but it's paws were clawing at Margarita's hands desperately wanting to be released and probably starch her face as pay back. Everett had never been in a cat cafe before so she didn't know what to expect but wouldn't the cafe have more tame cats?

"Mr. McNasty, that's not very nice," Margarita said, scolding the cat. He didn't seem to hear or understand and contained Margarita's grasp. Everett just remained silent and slipped on the drink she had before her. It was a strawberry milkshake.

"Now, now, stop moving. I know what you want," Margarita said. She moved the frantic cat into one of her hands instead of both of them and she sort of struggled to contain the crazy cat reaching for something in her pocket. Everett raised her eyebrow. Finally she got the item and it appeared to be a pill.

"What are you doing with that?" Everett asked, her body now punching closer to Margarita's. She didn't care for cats but she knew that governing them pills probably wasn't the best idea.

"Relax, Rett," Margarita said with a chuckle. She couldn't resist using the young adult's nickname. "It's just a calming pill. I work at a pharmacy you know."

"Yeah, as the cash register, not the pharmacist," Everett pointed out. "Also you shouldn't give cats human medicine."

Margarita ignored her friend's marking and instated the pill to Mr. McNatsy's mouth. "Open up Mr. McNasty. Who wants their jelly bean." She dangled the pill above the cat's mouth and when he opened his mouth she shoved the 'jelly bean' inside. Everett visibly reacted with digest, her face contorted making it sort of look like an old witch.

The cat seemed to call down after he consumed the pill. Everett was worried for the mammal but tried not to say anything.

"Aren't you a good kitty," Margarita cooed, tickling behind the cat's ears and bopping its nose it seemed to turn into a whole different cat.

Everett finished her milkshake and quickly said goodbye to Margarita. "When you find out where Hillfigure is, tell me immediately."

"Okay," Margarita said, grabbing the cat's paw and waving it goodbye. "Have fun on your date!"
