I snapped awake hearing the sounds of explosions go off shaking the house. I took the dagger from under my pillow running silently out of my room and into the shadows of my hall way. I could here the rapid fire of automatic weapons getting louder and louder as i ran through the shadows to my parents bedroom. I stopped running when i came to there bedroom door the sounds of gunshots ceasing immediately. Everything went quite instantly. I opened the door to see the room covered in bullet wholes and blood. Glass from the windows covered the bedroom floor glistening like crystals. I walked further into the room to see my parents holding daggers in there hands. Standing back to back in the middle of the room surrounded by the bodies of dead soldiers. They panted from what looked like a gruesome battle with the soldiers.

"Mom, Dad whats going on"

I said rubbing the sleep out of my eye's still half awake.

"Jax we've been attacked were not safe here we need to leave" Dad said coolly going to the window and lightly peaking out of the window a bullet whizzing through the window and into the wall narrowly missing dad's face.

"Do you have a weapon son" Mom asked me checking one of the soldiers for any verification for who they were.

"Yes i do mother" I said showing here the dagger they had bought me for me after my third birthday.

"Good because your going to need it"

Mother replied finishing checking the dead soldiers.

"Did you find anything honey ?"dad asked mother taking a suit case under his bed opening it and taking out smoke bombs,throwing knifes,and flash bombs.

"Argus " Mom said taking some of the gear from the suit case into her pouches. Dad and i doing the same. As a family trained as assassins we had to be ready for anything even if it meant sleeping in our gear. "Dam its Waller" Dad said punching the wall in anger. I wanted to ask who Waller was but now didn't seem like the right time. What with us being attacked by a group called Argus. All i knew about them from what my parents told me is that they had done large amounts of job's for them in the past. But they had a falling out and my parents refused to work for them ever again.Dad finished filling up on supply's before turning to us." Ok like always stay in the shadows and keep your kills quite." Dad taking point and leading us out of the house quietly through the window in the living room. Our house was in the middle of the woods miles away from civilization or cities. The house was surrounded by Argus soldiers so we had to use the dark of night to get passed them. All of the soldiers were wearing night vision goggles but our outfits had a special cloaking material. It kept us from being picked up by the night vision goggles making us transparent to them. The woods were crawling with Argus soldier,they knew we had fled the house and were on high alert. We were passing through a squadron of soldiers when suddenly heard chatter coming from two soldiers heading our way. We were hiding inside some bushes when they came closer.

"What the hell are we doing out here anyway ?" The first soldier asked the second one. "You know how the boss is she doesn't take chances when it comes to bag and tag ops like these." The second soldier said only a few feet away from the bushes we were couched down in. "There getting closer"

I said to my parents gripping my dagger ever so tightly in anticipation.

"Dad sighed in defeat giving mom a look. She nodded back wearily at father understanding the look he gave her. This worried me a bit my parents never acted like this when the odds were stacked against us. But i wasn't naive we were in a forest full of Argus soldiers. I looked around only realizing how royally screwed we were. I could hear the thundering sound of tanks rolling by in the distance. The radio chatter and the chatter of the soldiers around us doing there patrols. There were even attack helicopters piercing the my ears as they zoomed passed us shaking the ground. 

"Jax i want you to make a run for it once we take out the guards coming this way"

Dad said putting his hands in his weapon pouch i was about to speak before mother beat me to it.

"Don't even think of it Jaxon we need you to carry on our legacy use the money in our of shore accounts and do some good for the world right the wrong's we made." 

Mom said with a loving smile taking me into her arms and giving me a warm hug.

"Find a good guy or women and settle down and have a family of your own Jax we didn't want this type of life for you and were sorry you had to grow up like this." 

Dad said joining in on the hug. For the first time in my life i had dropped the emotional mask my parents trained me to have and let out the sadness i was feeling.

"Hey i think i found something over here all units in my sector converge on my location location!!"

 A soldier said shining his tactical light on us. from his automatic weapon before falling dead on the ground from a morning star to the neck. 

"We love you son and we always will no matter what now run !!" Dad said taking out his dual daggers and getting ready to fight the on coming soldiers. I ran as fast as i could leaping out of the bushes and running through the forest the dark of night covering me. I felt the most at ease whenever i was in the shadows. As i ran through the forest i cut down any un suspecting Argus soldier i could even beheading a couple of them.  I could here the sound of my parents fight even after i was miles away. The sounds of rapid gunfire and explosions lit up the sky. I wanted to run back and help them but if i died with them there sacrifice would be in vain. The sounds of gunfire and explosions eventually died down . I knew what it meant. My parents had finally fallen to Argus. I couldn't bare the shock that came with losing them, my legs felt like jelly all of a sudden causing me to fall to my knees. Tears fell down my face almost like a river,mom and dad were the only thing i had in this world and now they were gone. As i cried mourning the loss of the two most important people in my life multiple footsteps clouded my hearing. I looked all around me seeing soldiers surrounding me.

"Mam he appears to be the last of the targets permission to take the shot" 

One of the soldiers said out loud looking over his shoulder. This was my chance i wasn't going to get captured that easily. I lunged at the soldier who had his guard down. Slitting his throat with one swift swing of my dagger. I took his pistol from his holster using his body to shield me from the on onslaught of incoming fire from the rest of the soldiers. I fired shots at the other soldiers still standing. There bullets piercing the body of there fallen comrade riddling his deceased corpse with more wounds. One by one the other soldiers fell as my bullets pierced through there tactical vests and into there hearts. This was vengeance for my parents death, i only wish i could have gave them a more painful death. I dropped the soldiers bullet riddled corpse of the soldier his body weighing even more then it did when i first held it. The body dropped with a loud thud. I sighed wiping my tears with my sleeve turning around to walk away from the area before more Argus soldiers came. Or at least i planned until the sound of a gun going of pierced my ears and i fell back feeling a bullet punch me in the shoulder sending me to the ground. I felt the blood from my wound poor out around me. My eye's felt heavy as the blood pool around me grew. I began to fall in and out of consciousness as a dark skinned women came into my view with a steel faced expression. 

"Jaxon Kedison shame your parents had to die they were one hell of an investment, but i suppose you'll be a better one." She said a ghost of a smirk appearing on her face. 

'Dam this old hag i swear ill kill you for taking them from me.'

I thought to myself before everything went dark as two soldiers came into my vision taking me by the arms and legs. I was now at the mercy of Argus.
