" Wake up wake up " I hear someone say as they're shaking me. I pulled my blanket over my head only for the person to pull the blanket off my head. I opened my eyes and see my partner. I looked at the clock. 3:00! " What the fuck Kalinth?! It's 3 in the fucking morning!! " I yelled " Well Chase needs us in his office " Kalinth said.  I groaned. Not another mission. We just got back from a mission a few hours ago.

I got up from bed. Kalinth handed me my assassin clothes/uniform. I quickly changed and met Kalinth outside our room.

We started walking to Chase's office, which used to be Daniel's office. Chase is now in charge of Assassin Academy.

I started humming a song I knew since childhood. We walked in the office.

" What do you want this time Chase?! It's 3 something in the morning!! " I said " Is that any way to say hello to your favorite person?? " Chase said. I rolled my eyes. I wasn't in the mood to deal with Chase's smart ass. My eyes drifted off to someone leaning against the wall. " I swear to god Chase of your trying to marry me off again!!! I am not a wife! I'm an assassin! " I sorta yelled since it's too early in the morning and not everyone is awake. " Chill. First off that was a joke the first time I said I was marrying you off to someone. Second, that would be gross! Third of all... " Chase said and looked at the person " I'm your brother " the person said.

Kalinth and I looked at each other in confusion and shock.

" Y-you can't be my brother! My other brother left me...left our family! Did my brother come back when our parents died in front of me?! Did my brother come to get me and Kalinth?! No!! He forgot about us!! " I yelled. The person who claimed to be my older brother, stopped leaning against the wall and looked at Kalinth and I.
" Nyx, Kalinth please believe me. I am your older brother. It's me...Xavier " he said. I scoffed. " You won't stop the lies, will you?! " I asked. Kalinth walked towards him.

I refuse to believe that he's supposedly my missing older brother. He has no idea how much I want to punch him in the face for even daring to claim he's my brother!

I started humming the same song to calm me down before I start a scene. The person stopped talking to Kalinth and looked at me. " You're humming our song " he said. I looked at him like he's insane. He walked towards me. " Do you remember what I would say after our song was over?? " he asked me. I looked at him.

" I promise I will always come looking for you and never stop searching for you until you're safe with me " he and I said at the same time.

Tears filled in my eyes...

" X-Xavier?? " I said. He smiled. I hugged him...I hugged him tightly. He hugged me back. I cried. " It's okay. I'm here now " Xavier said " I missed you so much. I thought you stopped looking for me. I thought you never wanted to see me again. I thought so many things but deep down I knew you were out there searching for me and Kalinth " I said. Xavier let me go. He lifted my face up so that I was looking at him. " I promised remember?? " Xavier said and wiped away my tears...
