It'd been about a year since Thor had left. The project to bring Thor back through a tesseract portal was moved to a SHIELD base, after Nico Di Angelo wrecked it to 'prevent the worst'. Jane Foster and Darcy Lewis were moved to another facility to work on another project, but Erik Selvig stayed. Nico, after a talk with Nick Fury about behavior was moved to a facility far away from the Tesseract. He had been put on the Avengers Initiative, and then hired as a SHIELD agent. He was at the top of their ranks in days. He went on extreme missions that were near impossible to complete as Shadow. Currently, he was getting Bruce Banner in order to track gamma radiation from the Tesseract since apparently, just like Nico warned, the Tesseract brought nothing good. Though, Nico had yet to be told exactly what the new threat was.

He ran to Bruce, crying like a scared child, and led him away. Then he reached Natasha, and Bruce talked with her, since she was more experienced. They started walking into the Helicarrier, and Nico turned to Bruce after Natasha walked away to talk to Steve.

"Just for the record," Nico informed, "I didn't want to manipulate you, but we didn't know how else to get you to come peacefully without getting other citizens asking questions. I'm sorry I used your emotions like that."

Bruce looked surprised, "So Fury hires teens?"

"Just me." Nico smirked, "I was born on Earth, but moved to Asgard for awhile - oh and I'm immortal. I'm good in a fight, and have powers — and, if reasonable, I will follow orders gladly."

"Huh." Bruce muttered, but there was a smile on his lips.

"Dr. Banner." Rogers stepped up to talk to the two.

"Oh Yeah... Hi! They told me you would be coming!" Bruce rambled.

"Word is, you can find the Cube." Rogers stated.

"Is that the only word on me?" Bruce asked.

"The only word I care about." Rogers reassured.

"Well, this is actually kind of familiar." Rogers shrugged, referring to the preparations for war.

"Gentlemen," Natasha called, "you might want to step inside in a minute. It's going to get a little hard to breathe."

"Is this Submarine?" Steve asked nervously.

"Really? They want me in a submerged, pressurised, metal container?" Bruce asked worriedly, and then the helicarrier started to lift from the ground as they began to enter the inside, "No, no, this is much worse."

Once they got inside, Bruce went to plan the search for the Tesseract. Meanwhile, Fury pulled Nico aside for a debriefing.

"So you finally going to tell me what happened?" Nico said, a little frustrated.

"Loki has the cube." Fury stated.

"What?" Nico shouted, "He's who came through the Tesseract?"

"Yes." Fury nodded.

"Oh gods." Nico murmured, "No, no, no, no, no!"

Fury recognized this kind of panic, and his eyes narrowed, "What does Loki know that SHIELD doesn't?"

Nico looked up gravely, "A lot."

"So you didn't tell us the full truth about yourself?" Fury asked, sound exasperated.

"Yes, but only because it's personal." Nico's gaze fell to the floor; he hadn't told SHIELD his position in Asgard. They never asked, so he didn't bother. He also neglected to tell them, Thor, Sif, and the Warriors three that he was the son of the Greek god of the Underworld.

"We know everything about everyone!" Fury exclaimed.

"I'll tell you, when I'm ready." Nico decided, "And one of the two, I'll tell you soon, got it? I just want Thor to be here for both secrets."

"BOTH?!" Fury shouted, then double facepalmed, grumbled for a moment then said, "Just go. I don't need this while the world's ending."

"Technically, you were warned. You didn't listen, so... " Nico trailed off as Fury looked livid at the obvious 'I told you so', "I'll just leave... "

Fury nodded as Nico left the room.

"We got a hit. A 67% match. Wait. Cross match, 79%." An agent called out.

"Where?" Coulson asked.

"Stuttgart, Germany." The Agent replied.

"Captain, Shadow," Fury glared at Nico, "You're up."
