Meeting Him

Mark's POV

After countless hours of sitting in an uncomfortable chair, I finally landed on my destination. I quickly search for the luggage claiming and took my suitcase. As I wander around the airport, I saw a coffee shop. Feeling a bit sleepy, I feel like the wisest thing to do is to buy myself a coffee.

Then, I walked towards the counter and order a cup of coffee to the barista. She nodded and wrote my name down in the cup and asked me to wait in the waiting area. As I stood there, I noticed that the barista was calling a name.

"Jack?" He said, calling that name repeatedly. I can see that his eyes were wandering towards a man wearing a headset who's looking towards the busy sight of the airport. I quickly lend the barista a hand, offering him my help. He nodded in agreement as he gave me the cup of coffee. It was black coffee, with nothing at all. After that, the barista called out my name, handing me my coffee. I said my thanks and started walking towards the man.

"Is this seat taken?" I asked politely.

"No, it's not." He answered shortly, not bothering to see who was speaking.

"Can I seat here? The other seats are full."

"Sure."

I sat down and gave him his coffee. He finally moved his head and our eyes meet. The first thing that I noticed about him is his eyes. He has the most amazing eyes that I've ever seen; it was as blue as the ocean and it was so captivating. His hair is Lime green, which is interesting for me (said the man with a pink hair).

"Um.. Hello?" He ask as he stare at me in confusion. His accent was alluring, which makes me want to ask him to talk more.

I finally got back into reality and I can feel that my face was flustering pink (maybe its because of the cold weather, who knows?) I tried to break the ice by trying to explain myself. "Uh... The barista was calling your name and looking at your direction but you weren't listening. So I decided to help and gave it to you." I said while giving out a smile.

"Oh, umm..." He said, breaking our eye contact, blushing a bit. "T-Thanks, I guess."

"Shy, eh?" I asked, teasing him a bit followed up by my laughter. "You are very welcome, Jack."

As I drink my hot coffee, I studied his features even more. His eyes that I can't still get enough off, his pale skin, his messy green hair, his everything. He is wearing a blue jacket and a pair of skinny jeans. He is also wearing a grey beanie which makes him even cuter. "Wait... cute?" I thought to myself. I don't know why I feel like i need to know this man more than just a name and a face.

"So... what's your name, fellow stranger?" He asked, breaking the silence. "It's only fair that I know your name too, since you already know mine."

I stared at him, processing his question and laughed softly. "I don't know Jack," I shrug my shoulder, folding my hands. "Does it really matter to you?"

"Well, I just want to know, that's all." He answered shortly.

"Its Mark," I answered back. "Mark Edward Fischbach."

"Okay, Mark. it's not that hard to tell you name, is it?" He laughed and a smile finally painted on his face. It was the first time that I've ever seen it and It was so... beautiful; so beautiful that I even feel a warmness spreading in my cheeks.

I  join his laughter and since that, we chatted for a while until his phone rang. He picked it up and talked for a while. Then he shove his phone back into his pocket. "Well, sadly I need to go... " He said as he stands up.

"Leaving so soon?" I asked, feeling rather disappointed.

"Yeah... I need to run some errands." He answered with a sigh, sounding as disappointed as me.  "Goodbye Mark, nice knowing you." He took his huge backpack and started walking away from me.

Didn't want to lose the man, I act fast. "Wait, Jack!" I shouted as I ran towards him. "Here's my number, call me sometimes." I said as I gave him my business card.

He accepted it gleefully and put it inside his pocket. "I'll keep that in mind, Doctor." He winked as he leave me there breathless, standing alone in the middle of the crowd.
