Chapter 2

The weekend was over in a blurr and soon enough it was Monday again, which also meant that your 8am class was going to make you wish you chose another major again. Getting out of bed on Monday mornings was always the worst. You didn't know how Harrison managed to make it to class - late and hungover - but he still managed to get out of bed. To your surprise, you had more fun at the party on Saturday than you imagined you would have.

"Yes, I was challenging you, smartass." Harrison grinned as he re-filled your cup with another shot of vodka and some juice.

"You know, I don't often drink, but I'm sure I can still outdrink you, partyboy." You chuckled, making your way back to the dancefloor with Harrison following close behind.

"Is that so? This is years and years of training, do you really think you can handle that?" Harrison's lips were close to your ear as the two of you started moving to the beat, his hands on your hips. To your surprise, you didn't mind feeling his hands on your hips or knowing that he was that close to you, but you assumed that was the alcohol taking over and making you want things you definitely wouldn't want when you were sober again.

"Let me think about it," You smiled, turning around so you were facing him, "Yes, I am 100% sure I can handle that."

"Well then, Beautiful, may I escort you back to the kitchen to show you you can't handle that?" He grinned before grabbing your hand and pulling you back to where you just came from.

"First off all, I wanted to dance, asshole. Second of all, I'm not going to be the one comforting you when you say hi to the toilette because I won this thing."

You couldn't help but let out a laugh when Harrison entered the room, surprisingly early and not as hungover as you imagined him to be. Maybe Sunday's hangover was enough for him to not go partying on Sunday night.

"What are you laughing at?" Harrison chuckled as he dropped down on the empty seat next to you.

"Yo, Thomas, T, Tom, Tommyyy! Harrison neeeeeeds you! Like reaaally needs you." You giggled as you made your way through the crowd, looking for the brunette.

"What does he want now?" Tom snapped out of his conversation with his brother when he heard you shout his name.

"Pretty Boy couldn't handle his drinks and he's currently passed out in the bathroom." You burst out laughing, remembering the minute Harrison ran out of the kitchen towards the bathroom.

"Shut up! I need to see this." Harry immediately took off whilst pulling out his phone from his pocket and opening his snapchat.

"I haven't seen him that fucked up since his 18th birthday." Tom laughed when he saw Harrison lay on the floor, groaning. "How'd that happen?"

"Mr. Partyboy couldn't handle me." You grinned as Harry burst out laughing, "See you on Monday, Harrison. Get him home safely." You said you goodbyes to the two boys before looking for Jess and making your way back home.

"Just thinking about how much fun we had on Saturday, don't you think?" You chuckled as Harrison threw his head back with a groan.

"Listen, I haven't eaten a lot and I'm one hundred percent sure your drinks weren't as strong as mine were." Harrison explained, earning an eyeroll from you, "I usually can handle a lot more."

"I'm surprised you're not hungover today." You smiled as your Professor entered the room, making everyone shut their mouths - except for Harrison.

"Saturday kind off .. knocked me out completely, so I spent yesterday drinking water and watching Stranger Things. I'm getting old. Can't party every day anymore." He whispered, still loud enough for everyone else, including your Professor, to hear.

"Mr. Osterfield, I'm not used to seeing you this early - and this talkative. Are you finally going to take this class serious?"

"I thought I'd surprise you today Mr. Matthews. Not going miss anything in my favourite class from now on." Harrison smiled his most innocent smile, making you almost throw up.

"Actions speak louder than words, Mr. Osterfield. We'll see how next weeks goes, but I am glad to see you trying for once, maybe sitting next to Ms. (Y/L/N) is magically curing your curse of disinterest in everything I say." Your Professor said as muffled laughters rang from the rest of the class.

"Oh, it for sure is. (Y/N)'s been giving me amazing tutoring lessons. I'm sure it sparked some more interest in this class." Harrison grinned as you choked on your own spit, sending a glare towards the blonde boy next to you.

"Is that so?" Professor Matthews seemed surprised about that pairing as he looked back and forth between the two of you.

He probably wasn't only surprised because the two of you made a weird pairing, but because this was actually your worst class where you had to study hard to just pass the exams. You were without a doubt a good student, but somehow Mr Matthews' class was always hard for you. You didn't know if it was because you were too stupid for it or because he may be an amazing person but he wasn't the best professor. The man kept repeating himself and was teaching his stuff way too uncoordinated for you to find any patterns or for you to have an idea what his expectations in exams were.

"Uhm, not really, no. First time I talked to him was a few days ago, so.. I don't really know who's been tutoring him, but I'm certain that it wasn't me." You said, shaking your head in disbelief of what you had just heard from the boy next to you.

"That's a shame, I'm sure you could teach him some discipline. But speaking of tutoring lessons and partnering tasks. Today I'm going to assign you to your project for the rest of the semester. You will be working in pairs. Usually I was the one assigning the projects to each team but this semester we're going to switch it up a bit and have you decide on your projects yourselves. Nonetheless, I am going to assign you to your partner myself." Mr. Matthews let his eyes wander over the students in front of him as he opened a list on his Macbook, "The person next to your name is going to be your partner for the next few weeks. You will be doing the task together and I want a breakdown of what you've been doing every week."

Your eyes flew across the screen in front of you as you looked for your name. Harrison seemed to be a quicker locator of his name than you. A grin spread across his face as he poked your side, making you shoot him a death glare.

"Oi, you shouldn't be giving your partner that glare." He smirked as your eyes widened.

"Oh no." You heard yourself mumble as you finally located your own name - next to Harrison Osterfield.

Just your motherfucking luck.

"The universe seems to hate me." You groaned, letting your head fall onto the desk in front of you.

"The universe seems to love me." You heard Harrison say from next to you as you raised your head, throwing him another glare.

"How are you already getting on my nerves, Harrison?"

"Oh, I bet this is just me making you nervous, (Y/N)." The blonde boy grinned as your head fell back onto the desk.

The next 90 minutes seemed to be endless. Having Harrison next to you wasn't only distracting because of his stupid comments, but also because he kept passing you little notes to annoy you even more.

Can't wait to work with you. ;)

I've already thought about our project.

This is going to be so good.

Are you annoyed?

Stop paying so much attention. He's boring and repeating himself every 3 sentences.

4pm, my place.

Okay?

(Y/N), stop ignoring me.

"4pm, (Y/N). If you're not there I'll be at your place soon after, so don't even bother not coming to avoid doing this with me." Harrison winked as the class was over and he left his seat next to you.
