"The caf' is over there, but we always eat on the rooftop" Kirishima says to Todoroki

"No one ever goes there because of Bakugou" Kaminari added

Todoroki glances at Bakugou and then back at Kirishima, Kaminari, and Mina "So we are going up?" they nod and guide him up and like they said, there was no soul.

They all sat down and took out their lunch "So, why did you move here?" Mina asks, before the other two idiots could ask him something inappropriate

Todoroki stares down at his cold soba "Ehm, my dad got a job here"

While Kaminari was eating like, well, not a human, he still talked "Must be hard leaving friends behind?"

He shakes his head "No, i didn't have friends there. y dad didn't allow me to, like he aid, waste m time with other kids. So I just stayed home and needed to study" they all stay silent for a while, until he broke the silence "But now he is busy with work and can't tell me shit"

"He must be an asshole"

"Bakugou!" Mina glares at him

Todoroki smiles "No, he is right. My dad is an asshole"

Mina crosses her arms "Still, he shouldn't just come to conclusions like that" Bakugou shrugs it off "And Kaminari should stop eating like a fucking pig"

"Can't help it, Min'. This is fucking delicious"

She shakes her head in disappointment "You will never find a partner like that"

"Nah, have you seen how Jirou looks at me?"

"I must not see it because she looks at Momo with hearts in her eyes"

"Okay, then have you seen how Shinsou always hangs out with me?"

"You just force him to hang out with you"

He shrugs "Well I can't argue with that. But in my defense, he doesn't tell me to fuck off" he says as if he tries to prove something to them

"Just admin it bro" Kirishima starts "You will die alone"

"Bet I won't" Kaminari leans to Kirishima and holds his hand out "Bet I'll get into relationship before I graduate?"

Kirishima raises a brow "What does the winner get?"

Kaminari smiles "A wish"

Kirishima takes his hand and shakes it "Deal" after that the both of them return to their original positions "So what do you think?"

"I think you both are idiots" Bakugou answers

"You are no one to talk, Bakubro. You won't even let anyone near you"

"I let you all near me, that was my first mistake" he groans

Mina punches him on the shoulder "Don't be like that. You love us"

He raises a brow "I do? Man what a surprise" he says in a sarcastic tone

Todoroki was rather surprised to already have found people to hang out with. He thought he will be a loner, again

Can he consider them his friends, or are they not that close yet? Not really important right now, he has people he knows and hopefully can trust.

These people already seem nicer than all the people in his previous school.

"Icy-hot do you smoke?"

He snaps out of his thoughts and notices Bakugou holding out a pack of cigarettes "At times" he takes one and got it light by Kaminari, who was the only one with a lighter.

"So you also have that bad habit? Man I thought at least one of you won't have bad habits" Mina sighs

"Shut up raccoon eyes. You now you also have bad habits"

"So is this the real reason why you go on the rooftop?" Todoroki asks

Mina nods "We used to go to the warehouse. No one ever went there because there is literally nothing. But some idiots who read manhwa went there once and got the attention of the teachers. So now they check there"

"And we broke the door open to the rooftop. So they just assume no one is here" Kirishima adds

"Yeah, there are a lot of weebs here, so stuff happens at times"

"As if you're not one of them" Mina calls out

Kaminari shrugs "It is what it is Min'" she rolls her eyes.

For a moment, they all just sit in silence. Eating, drinking, smoking, just enjoying the silence.

Bakugou was thinking about the bad stuff in his life again. His abusive parents, this shitty school where you don't learn anything necessary for actual life, and pressure from probably every adult.

He hates this place.

Once summer ends, and he will be gone somewhere, he knows he will miss his friends. They were the only good thing in this town.

"I fucking hate this town" he said out of the blue

Kaminari nods "Me too" Mina and Kirishima agreed

Even though their life isn't as bad as Bakugou's or Todoroki's, they still had some big negativity in it.

Shitty parents, not enough money, or bad habits. That is maybe what they have in common. That one thing that makes their life a horrible place.

Kaminari looks down at his feet "Once I finish school, I'm gonna cut off my parents" for Kaminari it was the shitty parents. Not that they beat him, but they abused him emotionally. Pressure, have good grades, be the best at everything. He constantly disappoints them, after their words."I'm planning to go to Tokyo" he says with a smile on his face, thinking about his dream.

"Do you even have plans for Tokyo?" Mina asks

He shakes his head "Not really. I always wanted to go to Tokyo, you know. I was there once with my family, I've seen so many cool people, so many things to do, so many possibilities. Since then I want to go back there" he makes a pause "I guess the worst thing that could happen, is me dying on the street"

Mina smiles "Not ending up on the streets but dying there" Kaminari shrugs in response. "I wanna go to college after this summer. Not here of course. But I really wanna go" Mina's family didn't have a lot of money, but they managed to live a simple life. She will find a job and will pay for college herself. She doesn't want to be a burden to the family.

"You really want to keep on suffering from essays?" Kirishima asks

"Copy and paste is my best friend"

"Someone once told me 'if you can't blow them away with your brilliance, buffle them with your bullshit'" Kamianri says

"Who told you that?" Mina asks

"Some dude was crying at night at the bus stand, so I asked him wants wrong, and we started talking"

"And what's his name?"

"We decided to stay strangers"

"Why?" Mina keeps on asking

"Adds this little mysterious thing to the situation"

Kirishima chuckles "You fucking dork" but soon after his smile disappears "Once I graduate, I want to find my old friend" his parents where alcoholics. No one except his friends know. They don't do anything to him once they get drunk, but when he doesn't feel safe, he will go to his grandparents house. "We were really good friends, but then he moved with his family to the mountains. He helped me back then when stuff didn't go well in my family"

They all knew it too well, how it is, when stuff doesn't go as planned in the family. It hurts, a lot.

"I want to move in my own apartment, get a simple job, and just live without troubles. In a different city of course. I can't stand my parents" Bakugou wanted to scream. He is so angry at his parents "Life could be better if not them" he says frustrated

They all stayed silent once again. Thinking about their not so well planned future, but good enough for their situations.

Always that lie in class when you get asked what you want to be. Start a career, get married, get famous, no they don't want that. They just need a break.

"What about you, Todoroki?" Kirishima asks

Todoroki didn't really know if he should tell them. On the other side, they just trusted him with their plans "I want to find my brother. My dad kicked him out when he was still young" he avoided eye contact "He was my only support back then. My mom is gone now cause of my dad, and she doesn't want to really see me. Eh, my brother would always tell me that everything will be alright and I felt safe with him, but once he got kicked out, everything just went, well, down"

"Teenage years are shit" Bakugou says "We don't have any hope, here and right now"

They all nod.

Finding out that Todoroki also had struggles with his family, knew what it's like to feel lost, made Bakugou rethink if he wants to be friends with him.

He wants understandment in a friendship.

"Can we have your contact info, so that we can also hang out after school?" Kirishima takes out his phone and hands it to Todoroki "I'll add you to our group" Todoroki gives his number and then gives Kirishima back his phone.

A little later, the bell rang, and they went back down to the classroom. Lesson as boring as always and time as slow as always.

But once school was over, they all went home to their struggles. Trying to survive another day in this hell somehow.

They may not have it equally bad, but still not great.

Everyone has their own limits, so they know not to judge.

Just this last summer and they're free.
