FLASHBACK.
SISTER TAYO'S POV.

  After I called Kola, telling him that we have to meet by 1:00 pm, he immediately sent me his house address. I laughed really hard, like, why on earth would he think that I'd want to meet with him in his house?

I called him back, telling him how ridiculous it was for him to send me his house address when I didn't even ask for it.
He then told me that's where he would be at that time. I was confused and desperate, I needed someone to help me teach my selfish sister a lesson, or better still, get my share from them. I decided to go meet him at his house. It's not like he could rape me or kill me, or what if he could? My subconscious asked.

   Getting to Kola's house as expected, his house was mighty. Three luxurious cars were parked in the compound. I became confused if I'm in the right house.  Is he this rich?
I knocked and a female opened the door. Am I at the wrong house?  I stole a quick glance at the address he sent. Well, if I'm not, this should be his girlfriend or his sister; He wouldn't have his girlfriend home and still expect me to come to his house. No guy in his right senses would do such an irritating act.

"Hey! Don't you think it's out of sense to show up at someone's doorstep and not say a word?" The female girl who turned out to be the God forbidden Yvonne said to me. I still can't believe Kola lied to me, anyway we're divorced now so let me continue with the FLASHBACK.

"I'm-I'm sorry. I'd like to know if this is Mr. Kola's residence." I faked smiled.

"Oh! So it's you?" She looked at me like I'm some sort of filth. "Come in, make yourself comfortable," she said and walked into the house, I followed her.
I sat on the chair, trying to obey her words about making myself comfortable, but her facial expression was the total opposite of what she said.
"Welcome to my home Tayo" I heard a familiar voice and I took a bite of relief.

"Thank you" I replied. Kola sat on the chair facing me.
"I'm so honored, what would you like to be offered?" He asked with a full smile on his face.

"I'm okay, thank you" I smiled.

"Alright," He added.

"About what we wanted to talk...."  I was about completing my words when He stopped me from talking.

"I'd prefer we go to a more private place to talk." He offered.

"Why? Isn't here private enough?" I asked looking confused.

"My cousin can be nosy sometimes" He smiled.

"Oh! She's your cousin?" I asked for further.

"Yeah!"

"Oh! Okay" I followed him into a balcony, he offered me a seat. "You said you can help me have my revenge, so I'm here." I smiled.

"Oh! Yeah, about that, Did you ask her for your share?" He asked.

"Of course I did, I asked her but she said she doesn't owe me a dime. That's by the way, I need you; I don't know how but somehow I know you can help me, you were the one who made me aware that I should have my share. I'm ready to pay any amount, just help me have my revenge or still teach her a lesson she won't forget so she would realize that she hasn't been fair to me and maybe just maybe,  I would have my lovely and caring sister back.

He kept mute without saying a word and finally, he spoke.

"I'm not a lesson teacher, how do you expect me to teach her a lesson?" He asked and I became confused.

"Bu-but you said you can help me" I stammered.

"See Tayo, I can help you but I also want something from you. " He said smiling.

"What's that? Well, if it's something I can give you, I'd surely give it to you. See I just want her to be seriously dealt with so she'll need my help."

"I like you. Let's get married." He uttered.

"Uh? Kola, I'm not here to joke. Please let's start planning, I need your help."

"I'm serious Tayo! imagine if we get married, your sister won't be happy that you finally found someone. Take a look at my house Tayo, I am rich, I worth millions. Your sister would realize how rich you are and definitely come for your help. She would need you and yay! She'll realize how mean she was and definitely seek your apology, Smooth and clean."

" oh, that's a good idea but about the marriage thing Kola; I don't think that can work. Why would we just suddenly get married? Like forever? Just because of revenge! Well, it's worth it though but still, I don't buy this sudden marriage thing."

"Ok, that's the only way I can help you, do you have better options? If you do; go ahead." He smiled and continued. "I fell in love with you the very first day I saw you at the bus stop, half dead." He laughed.

"I wasn't half dead, I fainted. it's a huge difference" we both laughed really hard.

"Let's make this work Tayo, Please. It'll make you get over all this revenge thing and also make your sister realize how much you mean to her" He said.

"And Don?" I said, looking at him.

"Oh! I almost forgot, but you can't be stuck with him forever." He added.

"I know, ever since he did what he did to me, he hasn't called me nor texted me. I hope  that's the end between the two of us." I looked worried.

"Speak to your sister about it, explain to her that you can't be stuck with Don forever. She might help"

"Remi! Help? I know she won't, she would only cause more harm.  I'll find a solution though."

"So is that a yes?" He smiled.

"Look who is proposing without a ring" I smiled and he laughed.

"Sooo" He added.

"Let me sleep over it, I'll get back to you." I rose up.
"You're leaving now?" He looked surprised.

"Yes, any problem?" I smiled.

"No, let me get my car keys," He said.

PRESENT DAY.
ROSE'S POV.

I've been avoiding Alex. I don't know why but I think it's the best thing to do. How do I face him? How do I tell him about what I saw? Of course, he'll ask.  We finally finished our exam and that was the end of the session, I can't believe I'm done with this class. We were asked to assemble at the assembly ground to get our results and report card.
"Queue according to your class," The supposed head girl said to us all and we obliged. I noticed a familiar figure behind me, seeing him is definitely inevitable.

"Why are doing this? " He said from behind, I pretended like I couldn't hear him.

"I know you heard me, Rose!" He added.

I faced him. "Oh! Alex? Hey what's up, it's been a while. How was the exam?" I fake smiled.

"Don't play smart with me, why have you been avoiding me? Rose, throughout the exam period; I didn't see you. Did I offend you? If I did, you should have told me Rose; I would have apologized." He looked at me.

It was my turn to collect my card, I did and walked hurriedly to get my bag. I walked out of the school gate and I noticed Alex following me.
"Rose?" He said in a louder tone.
I didn't answer, I didn't know what to say to him.

"You've been acting strange ever since you went to my mum's room and... Wait, what did you find out?" He asked. Now he was already walking side by side with me.
"Rose?" He asked again.

"What?" I managed to say.

"Wow! What? Speak, what's wrong. I'm sorry if I offended you"  He added.

"You want to know right? You want to know why?" I asked.

"Of course"

"I found this" I brought out the document I got from him mum's room. It has been with me ever since I found it, I couldn't risk it being in the house and sister Tayo getting to know about it.

"Oh OK," He grabbed it from me.

"Wow! Did you get this from our place? I mean, who are these people with a red cross on their head?" He asked.

"I was surprised to Alex. Well, those are my parents," I said and collected the envelope from him.

"Your parents? I hope it's not what I'm thinking if it is; how do you expect me to believe you?" He said looking surprised.

"Are you kidding me right now? Uh? Why on earth would I want to make this up? You know what, it was a bad idea telling you in the first place." I took a step away from him and he held me back.

"How do you expect me to believe you, Rose? I can't, if we found this together, I would. I would've believed you; but no, you can't tell me my mother killed your parents, I won't take that from you" He looked at me sadly.

"So I'm lying, right? I'm making this up? It's fine" I smiled.

"So what do you take my parents for? Murderers? Assassins? You know what Rose, I won't stand here and watch you insult my parents"  He looked at me for some seconds and walked away. I couldn't feel my legs, tears ran down my cheeks. I wish he would look back and see how he hurt me by calling me a liar. I knew I was in this alone. Somehow, I regretted telling Alex about all this.
