ALEX'S POV.

Getting home I saw David at my doorstep, I wasn't surprised though. He does that whenever he's in trouble.
"Dude, I'm finished" He looked worried.

"Finished? How? No jokes dude I'm exhausted."

"I don't even know how to place the words"  He looked away.

"Place it anyhow, I need to shower" I walked into the living room and he followed me.

"You know Martha and I are kinda like a thing right?" He said as he sat on the couch.

"The last time we talked about her, you told me she likes me and all but you never mentioned you guys being a thing". I wasn't getting his points.

" oh, that's true. Well, Martha and I have been together;  not like we're dating though". He shivered.

"That's good news bro. How come you didn't tell me." I poured myself a glass of water.

"Water?" I offered.

"No no. I don't need water right now"  He looked perplexed.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"Well, I've- we've been like together." He said again.

"Haha, you've told me that before. If this is one of your crazy pranks stop it, the maids are gone. Let's cook." I yawned.

"We've been having se-x" He stammered.

"What did you say?" I took another gulp of water.

"I've been sleeping with her. How best do you want me to explain it? I've had sex with her countless times. We've been together"  He yelled out in frustration.

"David calm down. That's outrageous. You didn't even bother to tell me" I added.

"I'm sorry, it was our little secret." He looked away.

"Little secret? Well, your little secret is about to get exposed. I think Martha is pregnant, I don't really know yet though."

" That's why I said I'm finished. She's truly pregnant, she sent me a text message an hour ago."

"Congrats bro. The youngest father in town" I smiled.

"Alex, I'm dead serious. I'm confused."

"Wait, are you so naive that you didn't use protection?" I managed to ask.

"It's complicated. I don't know how it happened." He buried his hands in his face.

"I'm so sorry though. Wow, this is unimaginable. So what are your plans now?"

" either she aborts it or I deny the pregnancy. " He uttered.

"What? Deny the pregnancy, abort the pregnancy? Those two options are not pickable David." I said louder than usual.

"So what do I do?"

"Accept the pregnancy, take full responsibility for the pregnancy and the mother. Be a responsible man and you two can get married."

"Man? I'm just seventeen. Do I have to  remind you?"

"Well, you have to start acting like a Father" I smiled.

"I didn't come here for you to mock me Alex" He stood up and continued. " I thought I had a friend to rely on"

"You didn't think you had a friend when you were busy doing shits with her. If you had told me, I'd have given you life-saving advice"

"She didn't want to make it an open affair. If not I'd have made it official."

"David, I thought you said you like her.  Is this how to show likeness, by ruining her life? And I am very disappointed in Martha, now I know why she never wanted to date you" I hissed.

"You can blame me all you want. It was a mistake, I'm just trying to find a solution to all this before our parents find out."

"Mistake? It's not a mistake David. I quoted the countless in your words and a mistake made twice is no longer a mistake but a decision so don't give me that flimsy excuse."

"I know. I'm so confused" His eyes became red like they were about to pour.

"About your parents not knowing about it? Martha's mother already knows. I saw her in school today, with Martha asking if I was the one that impregnated her. I didn't get what she was saying first until Rose explained better."

"Her mum does? And Rose knows about the pregnancy?"

"Yes, but she's not sure yet though"  I added.

" I have to rush home" He ran outside.

"Wait let me see..." He left before I could complete my words.
I couldn't believe Martha could do such. I never knew she was that type of person.

FLASHBACK.

SISTER TAYO'S POV.

Three days after I came back from the hospital, I've been alone.  I got no calls from Remi nor Tunde, I was a bit scared but I knew they were doing all this on purpose.
I heard a knock on the door.
"Who's there?"

"Kola. I'd like to see miss Tayo"
I opened the door.

"Hi" I managed to say.

"Good afternoon. How are you?" He asked.

"Please come in".  I offered.

" I came to check up on you" He sat on the chair.

"Thanks.  I'm doing well, thanks. What should I offer you? Juice? I can make lunch." I smiled.

"No, thanks. I've had lunch on my way here". He smiled.

" you stay here alone?" He asked.
He was too forward.

"I don't. Actually, my sister and her husband stay here."

"Oh"

"Yeah"

"So what do you do?" He asked.

"Nothing,"  I said.

"Nothing? What do you mean by nothing? Are you a student? Or ..?" He asked further.

"I'm a graduate. I studied accounting".

" oh, you don't have a job?" He asked again. At this point, I was getting pissed.

"Are you here to ask me questions or what?" I gave him a stern look.

"I'm so sorry. I'm sorry if I'm being too inquisitive. I'll just take my leave". He stood up.

" No, you don't have to. I'm sorry if I was being hostile. It's just that I'm going through a lot right now" I tried to resist the tears but I was too late.

"Wow! You're crying? Please talk to me. I can be of help." He pitied me.

I knew telling a stranger that I worked for a drug lord was not ideal. So I lied, I told him my sister faked the loss of her boss's money and had me pay for it by persuading me to date him. I wasn't really telling a lie though, I just wasn't detailed enough. I also told him about how my fiancée died and how I lost a pregnancy.

"Wow! That's tragic. Are you sure your sister's boss isn't responsible for your fiancée's death?" He asked looking confused.

"I thought so too. He looks like a dangerous man though" I added.

" But were you paid to date him,  like what was your percentage in the money? " He asked further.

"Per-percentage? I don't understand?" I stammered.

"You were the one paying for her debts right? So what percentage were you given from the money?"

"Omg? I've been fooled"  I said loudly.

"Fooled? How? Don't tell me you weren't given a dime?" He looked into my eyes.

"I- I -I wasn't" I stammered.

"Wow," He smiled and continued. "  So you went through all this stress, with your body, emotions, and your fiancée; because I'm very sure your sister's Boss has a hand in his death. You went through all this for what?" He looked at me again.

"That's why I want my revenge! I want them to pay for all they've done to me, I want them to know how it feels" I buried my hands in my face.

"Them?  What do you  mean by that?" He asked.

"My sister and her husband planned it all". I added.

" wow, they used you Tayo." He pitted me.

"I know they did" I let the tears flow this time, I wasn't ashamed to cry in Kola's presence.

"I can help you have your revenge!" He gave an awkward smile.

"You can?" I asked.

"Yes."

"How? When?" I asked further.

"That's a discussion for another day. I have to take my leave" He smiled.

"Oh OK"

" yeah."
" Thanks for checking up on me I forced a smile.

"I'll call you," He said.

"Alright" I closed the door.

Minutes later I heard the door open. That must be Remi.
"Hey sis" she rushed and hugged me so tight. Behind her was her husband.

"Hi Tayo," Tunde said and I forced a smile again.
They brought in a lot of bags. Tunde went outside and came in with more bags.
"I brought you nice stuff from Dubai." She handed me one of the bags.
"Dubai?" I was surprised.

"Yes Dubai, it was unexpected. We just had to explore" she said excitedly.

"Unexpected? You didn't even bother to call me. I can't believe this."

"I forgot. I'm sorry" she tried to hug me but I restricted.

"What has come over you Remi.? You've changed. Ever since you met this..." I pointed rudely at Tunde.

"Mind your words girl." He said. I didn't look at his face to read his expressions.

"You knew I was at the hospital and yet you chose to explore" I emphasized the word explore.

"Why are you acting like a sadist. I wasn't expecting the traveling processes to be that fast. We just had to go"

"OK, what if I had died? What if there was an unexpected surgery and I needed someone's signature. You're were never this inconsiderate, you've changed Remi. You've changed".  I walked away.
I couldn't believe my ears when she told me that she went to Dubai. I'm sure they'll be surprised when I ask about my percentage of the money we got from the goods she took.
How and when to have my revenge kept running in my head, I was glad I had an accomplice.
