Chapter 3
Chapter 3
Third Person POV
**A Few Minutes After Thalia Read the Note. Outloud**
"Well then.." Percy started.
"Yea.. well then."
"Talk about being blunt in your meanings." Percy continued with a slight chuckle, although Thalia could tell it was forced
"Yea.. let's talk about something else for the time being."
"I like that idea. How about you go find us a good movie to watch and I will make us some blue cookies and blue popcorn" Percy replied
"I think that's the best idea I have heard all day" Thalia said with a small barely noticeable smile on her face, the loss of her friends and family still weighing extremely on her. (understandably)
And so, while Thalia found a movie that she figured would entertain both her and Percy. It was bambi. Percy got to work on making the magical blue cookies that his mother would always make him when he was younger, and using some godly powers to change the popcorn color to blue since he didn't have a package of blue popcorn from his mom's old place of work. And as they watched the movie, slowly moving closer to each other on the couch, ever unnoticed by the other. They found that very very slowly, they started to heal from their losses. They found that together they could maybe come out of this just fine.
And when it was time for them to go to bed, and Percy was persistent on sleeping on the bed, Thalia couldn't help the slight feeling of loneliness that overcame her as she laid down in the giant Olympian sized bed that took up most of the small bedroom.
**Time Skip Two Weeks Later**
*still in the cabin*
"So... What do you want to do today Thals?" Percy asked, starting to get a little bored of staying in the cabin for two weeks straight, and getting a slightly sore back from the couch.
"I don't know. Maybe we can go out into the mortal world for the time being" Thalia replied
"Yea. Hey maybe we can go visit my mom and Paul, and shed some light on everything that has happened since the Titan war ...." Percy trailed off and started to pale as he started to realise something.
"What's wrong Perce? You look like you've just seen Nico in a pink flower shirt" Thalia replied while trying to lighten the mood that just dampened.
"I'm a terrible son!!"
"What do you mean?"
"I forgot to check in with mom after the Giant war. She doesn't know where I have been for the past year!!" Percy exclaimed.
"Well, lets go make it up to her Perce. I am sure that she will understand, just tell her what happened, from what I remember, you mom is a very nice and caring person, she will understand." Thalia replied, while trying to get Percy to calm down.
"You're right... you're right. She will understand"
And as our newly weds got changed into clothes fit for the mortal world and started walking towards the elevator down from Olympus, they were stopped by one Hermes, the messenger god.
"Hey you two, where do you think you are going" Hermes questioned
"We are going to see Percy's mortal parents, he hasn't seen them since the end of the Titan war, and wants them to know that he is ok" Thalia replied, wondering why Hermes cared if they left.
"You're going to see Percy's parents?" Hermes questioned
"Yes, do you have a problem with that" Thalia replied, crossing her arms and staring Hermes down for continuing to block their path.
"You can't go see Percy's parents"
"What why? Why can't we go see my parents? I need to let them know I am still alive!" Percy exclaimed, starting to get mad at Hermes for trying to stop them from seeing his mom and step dad.
"It's not safe" Hermes replied while subtly signaling the other Olympians to join him in keeping the two leaving Olympus.
"What do you mean it's not safe?" Percy questioned. Growing more and more worried for his parents well being, and barely noticing the other Olympians flashing into the scene
"Son, you can't go down to the mortal world" Poseidon replied, while stepping forward in hopes of calming his son down.
"What do you mean I can't go to the mortal world? I grew up in the mortal world, it's the only world I truly understand!" Percy replied growing more and more frustrated with every second of not being allowed to see his mother.
"It's not safe for you and Thalia to go to the mortal world just yet" Zeus continued for his brother who was still trying to calm Percy down.
"What do you mean father? Of course it is safe, me and Percy are Olympians, we can handle anything that mortals throw at us." Thalia replied, while looking at her dad like he had officially lost his mind.
"It's not you that we are worried about Thalia. It's the mortals that would not be safe" Zeus replied gently, trying to get them to understand. "You two are new to being gods, and because of this your powers are still unstable, We can't risk sending you into the mortal world and accidentally revealing your true form and destroying a city block or something of the sorts" Zeus continued
"So how long are we on lock down? A month" Percy Asked, starting to calm down as he realised why he couldn't see his mom just yet.
"Not exactly" Zeus replied, starting to get nervous, while he threw a cautious look towards Hades.
"You can't enter the mortal world for at least two centuries Perseus" Hades stated bluntly.
And as Percy heard the reply from Hades, he couldn't help but stumble back, only to be supported by his wife Thalia, who wasn't as affected as Percy was, not having any living mortal family left. "What do you mean we can't go down for two centuries" Percy cried indignantly
"We mean exactly what we said Perseus. Yours and Thalia's powers are unstable at the moment and if we sent you down before the needed amount of time, then it could cause more harm than good" Hera replied for her brothers, hoping to be able to spread Percy's attention out amongst the Olympians and keep him from attacking one person.
"So I can never see my mother again?" Percy asked sadly.
"Correct" Athena Replied, as blunt as ever.
"Can we at least Iris message her?" Thalia asked, hoping to be able to help Percy any way she can.
"No. You are not allowed any contact with mortals for two centuries" replied Ares, smirking at the two in anticipation for Percy to blow and start a fight
"Can we write a letter to my mother and tell her why I can never see her again?" Percy asked in a depressed tone.
"No." Hermes replied "But we can write a letter for you explaining to her the situation at hand"
"Oh" Percy replied, staring at the ground with a heart wrenching look on his face
"So we are confined to Olympus for two hundred years?" Thalia asked, hoping to find any way to lighten the mood
"Of course not sister, you are welcome to travel in the woods with me, or you can go to where the camps used to be seeing as how mortals don't travel there" Artemis replied to Thalia, with a apologetic smile on her face.
"Ok then." Thalia replied "Well can you leave us be so I can talk to Percy in peace. And please send Sally the note" Thalia continued while directing the last part towards Hermes
"Of course... We'll see you around" Zeus replied, rubbing the back of his neck uncomfortable, as he and the Olympians not including Thalia and Percy flashed away.
**In Sally's Apartment W/ Sally and Paul**
Third Person POV
As Sally and Paul sit back against the couch and turn on the showing, throwing weary glances towards the door in hopes that their son will come home someday, they are interrupted by a small flash, before they see a small piece of paper floating down in front of them.
'Dear
Sally Jackson Blowfish, and Paul Blowfish. Mortal Family of Perseus Jackson
The Olympians gods are sorry to inform you that Percy will no longer be allowed to see you. Him and his cousin Thalia Grace we turned into Olympians after the untimely demise of the entire Demigod population save the two. Due to them being Olympians, they are not allowed in the mortal world for two centuries till they are able to get their powers in check. Percy also ask that we inform you that the reason he has been missing for the past year, was that there was war against the primordial goddess Gaea and he had his memory erased temporarily and had places switched with Thalia's now deceased brother Jason Grace in hopes of uniting the Demigod camps. The demigods and gods were able to come out victorious against Gaea, before a couple months later Typhon attacked the now combined camps and wiped out every demigod present at the camps. Percy and Thalia were the only survivors, having been sent on a quest for Athena not long before the take.
Sincerely,
The Olympian Council
P.s. Percy and Thalia are now married as a way to end the feud between Poseidon and Zeus'
As Sally and Paul try to digest what they just read, they are again interrupted by a small flash of light and another piece of paper floating down in front of them
'Sorry I meant to Sally Jackson Blofis and Paul Blofis, Poseidon said it was Blowfish, but Athena, being the goddess of wisdom corrected him... after the previous letter was delivered. Sorry again and have a nice day
Sincerely,
The Olympian Council'
And as Sally and Paul continued to digest what completely was going on, they broke down. Realising that they would never get to see their son again, and that he would never get to see his little sister, for whom Sally was pregnant with and was planning to name Estelle, grow up.
**Back on Olympus**
As Thalia tries to get Percy out of his newly developed depression, they are again interrupted by Hermes flashing in front of them.
"Sorry to interrupt, just figured I would let you both know that I delivered the letter Percy's mortal family, and that his mother is pregnant with his sister Estelle." Hermes stated, flashing out before either of them could attack him.
"She's pregnant..?" Percy mumbled sadly, as the weight of everything came crashing down upon him once again
"Hey, its ok Kelp head, we can figure this out, we will find some way to help them" Thalia soothed. Trying to get Percy out of his depression before it got any worse.
"How will we figure this out?" Percy asked quietly
"Maybe we can ask Artemis for help" Thalia suggested
"Why would Artemis help me, she hates males and she probably hates me for being the one that you are now married to" Percy replied, while groaning in frustration.
"Lets just ask her, ok Kelp Head" Thalia replied, while calling to Artemis through her mind, a power that all of the Olympians had.
"Yes Thalia, what do you need, I was getting ready to start recruiting a new group of hunters.. Considering what happened to the last group" Artemis started, before going quiet as she finished her thought.
"We were wondering if you could do something to help Percy's mortal family, his mother is pregnant with his sister, and as you are aware, we are not allowed to go down and interact with mortal for close to two hundred years." Thalia replied, looking at her sister pleadingly
"And what help would you like me to provide?" Artemis questioned. Willing to help, one because it is her sister Thalia asking, and two because Percy had never given her a reason to hate her and never acted like the types of males she despised.
"Could you give them some money, something to ensure that they are always taken care of, and that my sister will be taken care of when she gets older, and that her kids and so forth and so on" Percy questioned. Already thinking of how to make it up to his mother.
"I might be able to, I have more freedom than most from the ancient laws, but this might be pushing it." Artemis replied kindly.
"Please Artemis. I want to ensure that my mom's family is well taken care of for as long as it exists. I want my sister to have a happy life, and her kids to have happy lives and so forth and so on." Percy begged.
"Very well, I shall see what I can do" Artemis replied before flashing away
**Back In Sally's Apartment W/ Sally and Paul**
Third Person POV
As Sally and Paul continue to mourn, what can be viewed as the loss of their son, they are once again interrupted by a flash up light in the center of the living room. And as the light clears. They find that there is a small duffle bag left sitting in the middle of the room, with yet another note attached to it
'Dear Sally and Paul Blofis
It was recently requested of me by your son Perseus and his wife Thalia, that I provide some way for you to maintain happiness in your life and a way for you to have a better life with him gone. So included in this duffle bag, as was requested by the newlyweds is an unlimited supply of money, that you can pass down from family member to family member. I am sorry for your loss and wish you a happy rest of your life.
Sincerely,
Artemis Goddess of the hunt and moon
P.s. Perseus was very ecstatic to hear that he was going to have a sister but saddened that he would never get to know her.
P.p.s. Perseus is the Olympian god of Loyalty, heroes, combat, tides, swordsmanship, time, earth, family, seaweed, and kelp, and the minor god of war. And Thalia is the Olympian Goddess of hunt, archery, spear fighting, family, combat, lighting, sacrifice, pinetrees, and pine cones, and is the minor goddess of earth and time. '
And as Sally and Paul finished reading the letter, they couldn't help the small smiles from coming on their faces as they thought of how Percy was still doing what he could to help them, even though he could no longer see them.
Boom! That is chapter three. I was laying down and thought hey I should just quickly do another chapter, and hey I don't want to bomb Sally's character so Boom! Here is my solution.
I hope you enjoyed this Chapter. I don't know when I will release another update. I will try to have it out soon, but You never know.
If you have any suggestions for continuing this story, please let me know. And have a fantastic day.
