Chapter 1
Chapter 1
Third Person POV
As the winds died down and the dust settled, and erie silence settled across the garden. As Thalia sits there awaiting the result of the fighting between her cousin, Percy Jackson, and the near undefeated Guardian of the golden apples of immortality Ladon. She can't help but worry that this fight could have been more than Percy could handle. As she waits to hear either the roar of the mighty dragon or the always frequent sarcastic remarks of her cousin, she can't help but think back to why they were assigned this quest
***Flashback****
The giant war had just ended and the demigods were seated in the throne room of the Olympian gods awaiting the award ceremony to commence. Of the main demigods receiving rewards, we had Nico Di Angelo, Reyna Avila RamÍrez-Arellano, Thalia and Jason Grace, Piper Mclean, Leonidas 'Leo' Valdez, Hazel Levesque, Frank Zhang, Annabeth Chase, and Perseus 'Percy' Jackson.
As our heros sit there awaiting the arrival of the Olympains, we are greeted with 15 bright flashes of light signifying the arrival of the gods and causing the heros to avert their eyes to avoid disintegration. Of the gods arriving, we have the twelve gods/goddesses for which have a place upon the Olympian council, as well as the eldest child of Kronos and Rhea Hestia, and the eldest of the big three, Hades, following up with Hestia and Hades, we have one Bellona, Roman goddess of war and mother to Reyna praetor of New Rome.
As the light slowly dims down, the heros are greeted with Zeus, king of the gods, claiming his throne and calling the meeting into session. As the remaining eleven Olympians take their thrones and summon smaller thrones for the three extra deities, our meeting begins.
"Demigods! We have gathered you all here, to reward ten magnificent heros for helping us to defeat our enemies!" Zeus declared to the crowd of heros. "Thalia Grace, please step forward!" As Thalia takes a step forward, the demigods in the crowd can't help but take in the look of pride currently present on the face of both Zeus and Artemis, before Zeus continued. "Thalia Grace, as a reward for once again fighting for olympus, and helping us to gain victory against our enemies, if offer you increased powers over your demigod abilities and personal training from me to help you further your control of your powers!" None present could keep the shock off of their faces at hearing the gift offered to Thalia from the king of the gods, but none were more shocked than Thalia Grace herself, as Thalia finally got ahold of herself she responded with pride shining in her eyes "I accept, father!"
As the meeting continued, many rewards were presented the same way, Jason Grace was granted help on building temples and bringing recognition to minor gods and goddesses. Piper Mclean was given, much to her irritation, the blessing of Aphrodite, causing her to look more similar to her mother, the goddess of love and beauty, and an increase in her charmspeaking ability. Frank Zhang and Hazel Levelsque had their curses removed. Nico Di Angelo, was made partially immortal and his fathers lieutenant and officially given the title of ghost king. Reyna RamÍrez was granted partial immortality much like Nico, and was made her mother's lieutenant in hopes of her helping lead the Roman camp to greater prosperity. Leo Valdez was granted his wish of having Calypso freed from her Island and summoned to the throne room, unknown to him this having been a wish that Percy had made the year before and they had already planned to complete because of Percy helping them to win another war. Annabeth Chase was given back her dagger and Daedalus laptop, both of which were lost in Tartarus and were received by Hades. And finally, Percy Jackson.
As Zeus called Percy Jackson forward, a hush was brought upon "Perseus Jackson!" Zeus thundered (Sorry, I had to), "For your heroics in the war, and for defending Olympus once again, and bringing an end to Gaea, has come to a unanimous decision. We offer you the gift of godhood and a seat on the Olympian council!" As Zeus finished talking, Percy couldn't help the patented trouble maker smirk from coming upon his face, as he responded to Zeus without a second thought, "I regret to inform you, Uncle, but I must.. Respectfully Deny your most generous offer, in return for our usual agreement." As Percy finished talking he took a look back towards his loving girlfriend, Annabeth, to see her looking at him with nothing but love in his eyes.
Upon turning away from Annabeth, Percy saw Zeus slumped in his throne, and heard a murmuring going through the crowd of demigods that hadn't heard of Percy turning down godhood after the titan war. Upon regaining his composure and calming the confused demigods down, Zeus cleared his throat to continue on with Percy's reward. "So be it Percy, what do you wish from the council this time around?" Again, upon finishing talking, Zeus was greeted with Percy's trouble maker grin as he replied, "Dear uncle, I ask but a few things from you, To start off, I ask that that Hades, and Hestia, should they accept, are given seats upon the Olympian council, they are the oldest of the Olympians and deserve a say in what transpires within these walls, I also wish that the camps be combined and that the demigods are moved to Camp Jupiter as a permanent home where they can train and grow up, and that Camp Half-Blood is repurposed as a safe haven for demigods that stray to far from camp and a place that they can resupply and then get back to Camp Jupiter safely, and finally, I wish for you to finally release all the remaining peaceful Titans and complete all my other wishes from the first war." When Percy finished his request, he couldn't help but again smirk up at Zeus as he pondered his request.
After a few agonizingly slow couple of minutes, Zeus looked towards Percy with a slight smile tugging at his lips. "The council has decided to grant your wishes, nephew. And we will get Hepheastus started on the new thrones as soon as possible for Hades and Hestia" " Zeus responded with a light twinkle in his eyes, and as he finished, he snapped his fingers and summoned all the peaceful titans to the throne room and told them of the events that transpired and who was the cause of their release.
As Percy turned to walk back to his friends he was stopped, by his father calling out to him. "Perseus, although you have already received your reward, I would like to offer you something more, I would like to offer to increase your demigod abilities and offer, much like what your cousin Thalia is receiving, personal training to further your control over your powers. And with the increase in your demigod abilities, includes the unlocking of all powers that can be passed down to my descendants" As Poseidon paused, he couldn't help the smirk from appearing on his face "and that includes unlocking the shapeshifting powers, which up till now, I have kept locked in one family line, Franks family." As Percy heard this, he couldn't help the return smirk from coming upon his face "I accept your most generous father and can't await spending more time with you and furthering my control to ensure that I can help protect my family."
As the meeting came to an end, the demigods, gods, goddesses, titans, and titanesses couldn't help but celebrate another successful victory. As Percy traveled through the crowd talking and laughing along with his fellow demigods, he found himself in a quieter part of olympus, overlooking manhattan. As he sat down he sensed the presence of either a god or goddess coming up behind him. Upon turning around, Percy was greeted by the goddess that he didn't really feel like dealing with at the time, Athena goddesses of wisdom, and mother of Percy's Girlfriend Annabeth.
"Perseus, I will give you three months to train with your father" Athena started. "Three months for what? Lady Athena." Question Percy in the most polite manner he could muster for her. "Why to prove yourself worthy of my daughter, Perseus, and I would suggest bringing along another demigod without on this quest to keep you company." Athena replied, before she vanished back toward the party.
***End Flashback****
And that brings us back to Percy and Thalia. Who after three months of training with their respective parents and gaining even greater control over their powers, we sent on Athena's quest to defeat the dragon Ladon, and collect the apples of immortality. And that is an emphasis on defeat, Athena had made it clear to both Percy and Thalia, that should Ladon still be fully capable of defending the tree that Percy has not completed the quest, and that Thalia was not allowed to help in defeating Ladon. And so, here we wait with Thalia, to see what is the end result of the fight. And as the dust settles. Thalia couldn't help as she launched herself at her cousin, and giving him the deadliest hug she could must, for upon seeing the dust clear, Thalia saw Percy, limping towards her, with Ladon cowering against the tree, with just one head remaining, and a golden apple in his hand.
As Percy sees Thalia launching herself at him, he can't help but groan in anticipation of having to catch her, after battling one of the hardest fights in his life. And as Thalia collides with him, his weariness is made clear as he stumbles back and barely manages to catch her and keep himself standing.
"You did it Kelp Head, You actually did it!" Thalia cried out in relief.
At this Percy could help but chuckle at his cousin before responding, "Now don't tell me that your going soft on me Thals, where is the fearsome huntress that I know, what would Artemis say upon seeing you throwing yourself at a measly male such as myself"
"Shut up Kelpy" Thalia replied, whist giving Percy a hard punch in his shoulder and a slightly jolt of electricity in the process.
Percy again couldn't help but chuckle as he rubbed his now sore shoulder. "Well, let's start making our way back to camp, we have a long ways to go."
***Time Skip 5 Days****
Percy's POV
As me and Thalia neared the now combined camps located at what was Camp Jupiter, and is now called Camp Olympus, I couldn't help the uneasy feeling building in my chest the closer we got to the camp. And as we walked through the tunnel I couldn't help but get nervous by what I smelt.
"Is it just me or does it smell like smoke?" Thalia said, breaking me out of my unease.
"I was thinking the same thing... we better hurry and see what's going on and if they need our help" I replied with the feeling of unease building in my chest.
"Hey wait the hunters are staying at camp right?" I asked Thalia.
"Yea, they said they would stay here till I got back from the quest" Thalia responded.
"So maybe the smoke is just a male was flirting with a hunter and they set the barracks on fire or something like that." I said trying to clear away the sinking feeling that was growing in my gut.
"Yea.. that must be it.." Thalia replied.
But as me and Thalia got closer to the end of the tunnel, it became more and more apparent that it wasn't simply the hunters retaliating against a male, but it was something much worse. And as we walked out of the end of the tunnel and saw the destruction, we couldn't help the feeling of dread that came upon us. For as we came out the end of the tunnel all we saw was a destroyed landscape and what used to be Camp Jupiter. And fighting in the middle of the leveled area was none other than Typhon and the Olympians.
Third Person POV
As the cousins prepared to charge into battle to avenge what they could only assume was an astronomical level of death for demigods, they saw the Olympians all strike together and land the finishing blows on Typhon and send him down, for a long session of reforming in Tartarus. And as the gods settled down upon what used to be the Fields of Mars, the cousins couldn't help but notice the looks of sadness weighing down upon each and every one of the Olympians, and they also couldn't help but notice that Hestia was also involved in fighting Typhon.
Upon reaching the gods, Percy voiced his greatest worry "how did Typhon get loose? How many did we lose?" and as the gods gaized sadly upon Percy and Thalia, they both knew that they wouldn't like the answer they were about to receive.
"Let us go to Olympus before we discuss this any further" replied Zeus with such an air of depression that Percy and Thalia couldn't help but be nervous.
And as they all vanish in a flash of light and reappeared on Olympus, they couldn't help but notice that they were the only ones there

The chapter has ended, stop following me!!!
OK, fine you got me, the chapter isn't over yet!
As the Olympians sat upon their thrones, the meeting was brought into session. "Percy, Thalia, we regret to tell you that..." Zeus started before starting to choke up on his words a little bit before regaining his composure. "We regret to tell you, that you two are the last remaining demigods on earth."
As Percy and Thalia stood there trying to fully understand what they have just been told, Poseidon continued where Zeus left off. "As my brother said, you two are the only demigods left alive on earth, and because of this and the fact that most of us aren't likely to have anymore children for a while" Poseidon couldn't help but throw a look at Aphrodite while saying most of them. "The council has decided to grant you both with immortality, this is non negotiable and you will both be given a seat upon the council, bringing out numbers to sixteen seats." As Poseidon finished talking Percy and Thalia, still in a state of denial and not fully comprehending what was going on, noticed another flash of light, before standing in front of them was the three fates themselves. And upon the arrival of the fates, the olympians stood up and all raised their hands towards the two cousins still standing in the middle of the throne room and sent a stream of power towards them officially granting them full immortality and changing their mortal blood fully into the golden Ichor of a god/goddess. And knocking Percy and Thalia off of their feet and onto their back from the shear force of the power.
As Percy and Thalia struggled back to their feet, the fates stepped forward, ready to announce the domains of the two new Olympians.
"Perseus Jackson, Olympian god of Loyalty, heroes, combat, tides, swordsmanship, and family, God of time for his defeat over the Lord of Time, God of Earth for his defeat of Gaea, minor god of war for his defeat over the god of war Ares" Percy could have sworn that he saw the Fates smirk at a scowling Ares as they said this."and for your final domain." Again Percy could have sworn on the styx that he saw the fates smirk in his direction as if thinking of something funny even at a time such as this. "Olympian God of Seaweed and Kelp" Percy could help the sad smile that came upon his face before scowling playfully at the fates. "Sacred weapon is riptide, and scared animal is the pegasus". As the fates finished talking, Percy could feel the drastic increase of power flowing through him as his domains claimed him before the fates turned towards Thalia.
"Thalia Grace, Olympian Goddess of hunt, archery, spear fighting, family, combat, lighting, and sacrifice, minor goddess of time for help in the defeat of the Titan Lord Kronos, and minor goddess of Earth for helping in the defeat of Gaea." As the fates paused, both Percy and Thalia would have sworn that they saw the fates smirk towards Thalia before they continued. "And Olympian Goddess of Pinetrees and Pine Cones." Thalia, much like Percy, couldn't help the small smile from coming on her face, before it was quickly wiped off with pure fury incarnate in a glare directed at the fates. "Sacred weapons are your shield Aegis and your spear, and your sacred animal is the wolf." As the fates finished, much like Percy, Thalia couldn't help but feel the power rush through her as her domains claimed her.
As the fates finished granting the two new Olympians their domains, and they flashed out, Zeus cleared his throat to deliver the last bit of news for Percy and Thalia. "Now before you two retire for the night to your temporary palace which we will show you after the meeting, me and Poseidon have decided to put our differences behind us, and officially declare a truce, and to further support this truce, we are arranging a marriage between the two of you, this marriage will both signify mine and Poseidon's truce, as well as further bring the council to greater harmony, and we are changing both of yours ages to the appearance of that of twenty year old to make this less awkward."
As Zeus finished the Olympians all quickly flashed out, while sharing the information for the location of Percy and Thalia's temporary palace through their mind, which they learned they would be sharing. The two were left standing in the middle of the throne room facing each other trying to fully understand all of the events that unfolded before them.
Actual end of the chapter.
I hope you enjoyed it. If you have any suggestions to further improve this story that doesn't involve me changing the paring because that is the main reason I wrote this, then I am happy to hear.
3119 words, not a lot but a decent amount for a first chapter.
