Praise for Bridge to the Future

Myrae's mother always told her that if she hadn't been genetically modified, she would have amounted to nothing more than portable plumbing.

Witty and unique, the first line of Bridge to the Future is hooking in a comedic way but with a subtly dark undertone. It's excellent at introducing the character, world, and several questions into the reader's mind. Genetic modifications and what Myrae is capable of because of them come to the forefront as mysteries waiting to be answered.

Golden shackles cuffed my hands, and the wretched metal cut deep into my wrists. Already, dark brown burns splashed my red skin.

No, it was not the best day for me.

The contrast is clear in the starting lines of Justice for the Fallen. The vivid colors and description paint a painful picture, with golden shackles but chafing red skin and the brown of burns. It brings us to wonder how the character has landed themselves in this predicament, not to mention how they're going to get out of it.
