Zhan rushed to the hospital and ran inside the building, Simon was already there and once he saw Zhan he went to his side, "Where the hell have you been Zhan!"

Zhan looked at him and asked, "What happened? Tell me the full thing."

"Well Gina got into a bad accident last night, no one died, but her car crashed against a tree and currently she is under observation."

Zhan asked, "Will she be, okay?"

"Well, the doctors said that she is out of danger now, she should be awake soon."

"I get it." Zhan then walked to the waiting area where he met his mother and dad, Kevin and May, and once the two saw him they looked really angry, May asked, "Where the hell were you Zhan? Why didn't you answer your god damn phone!"

Zhan replied, "mom...I... I was not feeling well after leaving the bar and when I reached home, I just fell asleep, my phone had no battery so it was switched off, I am really sorry."

Kevin gave him a glance at him and said nothing, he was beside his best friend Micah, who was Gina's father. Micah was the best and most dangerous assassin in the organization and Kevin's right-hand man and the man loved his daughter to the core, and right now he was devastated.

Zhan respected Micah and his wife a lot, growing Micah was his teacher as well as mentor.

They waited till Gina woke up and while waiting, Zhan checked his phone and looked at the missed calls but something caught his eye in the call logs, he looked at a call from Gina, that was answered, the call only lasted for 10 seconds, but he looked at the time and he was sure that he didn't answer the call.

So did Yibo answer the call?

He knew that Gina got into an accident and didn't tell him. Zhan kept the phone back in his pocket, his face turned cold as he leaned against the wall.

"You were supposed to be here at nine! Do you see the time!" Yanli yelled at Yibo, who looked down, and could only say, "I am sorry."

"You know that I hate late people, don't you? And you are late after I specifically said not to be because it's an important meeting! Where were you? And you better not lie!"

"I was at home!"

"With who? You better not lie to me!"

Yibo took a deep breath before he spoke, "I was with Zhan... my boyfriend," he knew that he was being judged very hard. Yanli might not say it but everyone knew that she thought love and relationship a hassle and always get in between success, she glared at him, "Yibo I have said this before and I will say this again, I don't give a fuck who you date and who you take to your bed as long as it does not interfere with your work and career!

Remember love can happen again but this time won't come back, so don't waste it on useless things focus on building yourself!" She said as she walked past him.

Yibo looked at A-Xiang who just gave him a worried glance and the two followed Yanli.

A-Xiang and Yibo both knew that Yanli had worked very hard to build her empire and she cherished it more than anything in the world, she was an ambitious woman, who always wanted to be at the top and after her, the one who would inherit her company would be Yibo and A-Xiang hence she didn't want them to be slacking and was extra strict with them, not that the two minded.

On the other hand, Zhan was waiting for Gina to wake up he stayed at the hospital for the whole day.

In the late evening, he even got a call from Yibo but he did not answer it, he just kept his phone aside, and finally after some more time Gina finally woke up.

Micah was the first one who rushed inside the room to see her and then Zhan's parents, Gina talked to them and soon fell asleep.

It was nighttime when Zhan sat beside Gina, when she stirred and opened her eyes, she looked at Zhan but then looked away, Zhan sighed and said, "Hey...Gina."

"Why didn't you answer my call?" she asked, "I called you so many times. Yibo answered my call but he cut my call while I was yelling and crying for help. Didn't he tell you that I had called? And you didn't call back? Zhan, is he more important than my life?

I could have died you know, I...I...was in so much pain, Zhan I... was so scared." Gina's eyes were filled with tears, "I thought that I would never see you again."

"Gina I am really sorry." Zhan said, "I really am."

"Did he tell you or not that I called."

Zhan blinked and took a few seconds to answer, "he didn't.'

Gina scoffed, "I am tired Zhan I want to rest." She closed her eyes and went back to sleep.

While Zhan sat there for some time before he left the hospital after Micah came there.

Zhan went to Yibo's apartment and rang the doorbell. Yibo who just came back home was just taking off his tie when he heard the doorbell ring, he went to answer the door and once he opened the door, he saw Zhan standing over there, and he didn't look good.

Zhan walked inside the house and Yibo spoke, "What happened."

"Did you answer my phone  at night?"

Yibo thought for a while before he replied, "Yes, I did."

"THEN WHY THE HELL DIDN'T YOU TELL ME!" Zhan yelled and Yibo's eyes widened, as he flinched, "Zhan..."

"DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT YOU HAVE DONE! IT WAS IMPORTANT AND GINA COULD HAVE DIED! BUT YOU NOT ONLY DISCONNECTED THE CALL YOU DIDN'T INFORM ME AS WELL!"

Yibo was speechless while Zhan yelled at him, "Gina got into an accident and she could have died Yibo."

Yibo was shocked to hear that as well and didn't know what to answer, "Zhan... I am sorry... I had no idea..."

"I am disappointed in you right now Yibo." Zhan sighed before he the house, but Yibo grabbed his hand, "Wait where are you going? We can sit and talk you know..."

"I was to get away from you... I don't want to talk to you right now." Zhan said as he left the house, leaving Yibo behind.
