*Cassy's POV*

I started pacing nervously in my cell. When was Bilbo going to get here?! I knew that I was really impatient but he's been gone for nearly five hours!

"Stop pacing, you're going to give me a headache!" Caspian muttered.

"Sorry." I mumbled before I forced myself to stop pacing and I leaned against the wall instead.

"Thank you." Said Caspian.

I sighed and jumped when Bilbo appeared out of thin air.

"You took your time." I said as I walked over to the cell door as Caspian stood up in his cell.

"Did you get the keys?" Asked Caspian as he looked hopefully at Bilbo.

"Of course I did." He replied as he held up a bunch of keys.

I smiled widely at him. "Well what are you waiting for? Let's get out of here." I said.

He nodded quickly and after fiddling around with the keys for a moment he selected a key and unlocked my cell first before he pulled the door open. I couldn't help but pull Bilbo into a tight hug once I was out.

"Thank you, Bilbo." I said as I released him and walked over to my weapons that had been left in the corner of the room.

Whilst Bilbo was unlocking Caspian's cell, I gathered all my daggers and concealed them on my person before I strapped my sword and long dagger to my belt, and then I fastened my bow and quiver to my back.

As soon as Caspian was out I hugged him tightly before I released him so that he could collect his weapons.

"So we're going to get Thorin now?" I asked Bilbo.

"No, some of the others are closer so we'll get them first." He replied.

"Okay. Let's go." Said Caspian.

I allowed Bilbo to lead the way and I motioned for Caspian to go next whilst I followed behind them. The halls of the palace were so long and winding, I had no idea where we were so I just hoped that Bilbo knew where he was leading us.

We stopped outside of a door that Bilbo said led down to where Bofur and Bombur were being kept. He unlocked the door and we made our way down the steps making as little noise as we could. I couldn't help but smile at Bofur and Bombur when I saw them. The room was exactly the same as the one that Caspian and I had been in, Bombur was sat down on the floor and struggled to his feet when he saw us, whilst Bofur was already stood at the door of his cell sending us his usual wide grin.

Bilbo hurriedly unlocked the cells and I hugged Bofur tightly. I'd grown quite fond of the toymaker over the past months. I released him with a smile and allowed him to grab his weapons whilst I gave Bombur a quick hug.

Once we were ready, Bilbo led us back up the stairs and said that we were going to get Fili and Kili next. I felt my heart thump loudly in my chest at the thought of finally seeing Kili and Fili again.

We reached their cells a few moments later and I could see Fili and Kili were already waiting. Kili had his arms leaning on the bars as he peered out of his cell as a broad smile broke out across his face when he spotted us rounding the corner.

"There you are!" Fili said teasingly. "Took you long enough!"

"Yeah, we weren't sure whether we should just leave you here and go without you." Caspian said teasingly as Bilbo figured out which key was the right one. Kili's gaze landed on me and I couldn't resist but smile before I walked over go his cell whilst Bilbo was busy trying to free Fili.

*Kili's POV*

A big smile played around her lips as Cassy walked over to me. I reached one hand out of the cell as far as I could, cupping her cheek with my hand and pulling her closer to me, the bars were the only thing that stopped me from wrapping my arms around her. There was no way to explain how happy I felt to see her. Cassy was like a light in the darkness, a spark of hope, and I felt my chest tighten almost painfully upon the sight of my One, feeling her warm skin under my fingertips. I had spent so many hours of the last days thinking about what I would do if I saw her again and now she was here and yet there was still this barrier between us that kept her from me.

"Are you okay?" I asked as I stared at the small gash on her temple that looked as though it had somehow miraculously been cleaned.

"I am know." She said as she rested her own hand on top of mine that was still resting against her cheek.

"I was so worried about you." I said.

"Don't worry, I had Caspian with me. But I wish I could've stayed with you. I missed you so much." She said.

I just opened my mouth to speak when Bilbo hurried over to us, interrupting the moment, as he began to unlock the door to my cell. I reluctantly removed my hand from Cassy's face so that she could step back to allow Bilbo to unlock the cell door.

I watched with a smile as Fili hugged Cassy before he was pulled into a big hug by Bofur and Bombur. As soon as my cell door was opened I hurried out clapping Bilbo on the back and thanking him before I was crushed in a hug by my brother.

My gaze drifted to Cassy who was stood a few feet away. Fili smiled at me knowingly before I nudged me before pushing me so that I walked towards her.

I wrapped both of my arms around Cassy's waist and hugged her tightly as she wrapped her arms around my neck and buried her face in my shoulder. I couldn't resist smiling into her hair when I breathed in her sweet scent of vanilla.

My smile faltered slightly when she pulled back from the hug but surprised me by grabbing the front of my tunic instead and pulling me towards her whilst she leaned in towards me and placed her deliciously soft lips against mine. I smiled into the kiss as I pulled her closer to me. I never knew how wonderful it felt to actually kiss my One, I could definitely get used to this.

A cough from behind me caused us to break the kiss and we were met by the smirking and grinning faces of the others.

"If you're quite finished." Muttered Fili whose eyebrows were raised in a mixture of shock and amusement as he watched us. "We have a few more people to pick up."

"Oh, uh yeah. Let's go." I said.

Bilbo chuckled to himself as he began to lead the way to the next lot of our company. I could feel my face turn slightly red when Fili and Caspian stood facing Cassy and I with identical sly grins. It was slightly creepy if I was honest. I took Cassy's hand in my own and led her along after Bilbo, Bofur and Bombur whilst Caspian and Fili followed behind us.
